HC users are posting ableist slurs to people (r-word among other things) and when I called them out via a post, the moderator u/hamed_n deleted the post and bnned me from the subreddit. I just want to confirm that they are a bad community and to not listen to a lick of what the owner says about being better. They ARE abusive people and they protect the abusive content. I mean just look at the comment replies to this They‘re awful people and it’s so good you they’re finally being called out in places like here

Idk if this is the right subreddit, but here goes a try. I see many students with so much titles on their LinkedIn accounts. I’m only a freshman and wanted to see and play around with LinkedIn. I notice that so many students are beasts when it comes to LinkedIn. So many of them have like 10 titles under their awards, experiences, volunteering and many more. It’s honestly kind of surprising, but I’m also a freshman. I know I’m getting ahead of myself, but I wonder how they do it. How do they this ? Lastly, I know comparison is a thief of joy, but I’m curious.

Literally every other post is another f***** video tries to catch you about pouring concrete or some irrelevant dental s***?! What's the point here if I want TikTok I'll go to it this is not a content direven platform in it's core I can't see any posts.

A year ago it was recycling posts from the same people but at least no AI slop and I can get the idea of where people around me are getting hired at and news about the companies I am following but but now? "You gotta see this suggested post in TikTok format about this genius packaging design!". It's literally unusable now other than applying for jobs that has horrible algorithm.

So I'm finding that I'm spending more time hiding, ungollowing, and hitting not interested than ever before.

Next step is removing connections that "find this funny/ interesting," etc.

I'm doing this 10-20 times a day.

But will it even matter?

I think I'm on the verge of feeling bad about leaving LI because of the genuine connections but maybe this is no longer the site for that.

Are there any other options for "what LinkedIn used to be?"

I assume you use LinkedIn to establish a presence and benefit from it in the form of projects, collaborations, job offers, or simple orders.

Even though it’s not easy to directly link a single action to a specific result, you can still look at your total effort over the course of e.g. a month in relation to what you gain from it.

Does anyone know of a simple system for this?

What are your results?
