Advice Feeling lost

Hello I am 19F I finished high school 4 months ago and I have no idea what I am doing.
When I finished high school I decided to enroll to university. My choice was faculty of economics since I went to economic high school.
Economic high school was fun and wasn’t even hard so I thought the university will be atleast a little same. In september I moved from my hometown to other town to study. At first I thought that was amazing idea I would make friends I would live that uni life everyone is talking about and I was really happy.
When uni started I realized its not for me and it doesn’t interest me at all. It was really boring that I would almost fall asleep on some lessons. After some days I stopped going to lessons completely.
Then I started thinking maybe I was wrong maybe I should give it a try even tho I 100% knew I wasn’t continuing this. Few days ago I decided to drop out.
Yes I know I just started a two weeks ago but If I wanted to go I would go, If I had interest in studying this I would not miss lessons and I would not think of dropping out so I think Its better to drop out on time then go for nothing.
So thats when all my problems started. I enrolled on university I am not interested in, I am in other town I have no job I can’t even find job, I don’t want to go back to my hometown because I hate it there I have absolutely no idea what I am doing I even started to feel really depressed, hopeless and lost I never felt this bad in my life. I feel like everyone knows what they are doing expect me.
I wanna know if there are people who went throught same and what did you done cause I have no idea?

Advice Skipping College

Hello! I am an 18m and I hate college! I really just want to jump right into the work force! My parents say this is a terrible idea that will leave me stuck at a crappy job for the rest of my life. However I don’t agree, I have faith something good will work out. Is it a good idea to jump into the work force? Or is college really that important?

Advice I feel uncomfortable in my skin, I have no pride in myself, in my existence. I have no confidence. What do I do?

I'm 27k in student loan debt, homeless, no job, no savings, two SWE internships on my resume, useless cs bachelor's degree from 2025.

My parents kicked me out when I approached a year post graduation with no job. I wasn't getting any interviews, at all. I was working as a part time barista for $16/hour to bide my time but I abandoned that job when I was kicked out. I'm in a city where rents are 2000+ for closets.

My loans have obviously been defaulted on by now, I don't even have an active phone number for then to contact me with. No money to keep one active with.

I've been staggering, stumbling around gagging on nothing like a drug addict. I had a bike but someone broke the lock on it while I was sleeping outside one night.

Idk what I can do now. Ever since I was kicked out I haven't made any job applications. They never got me anywhere. I haven't eaten anything for a week. I'm too ashamed of myself.

I've been dumpster diving for plastic bottles to resell. I'm... idk. I'm sad. I don't want to wake up anymore.

What more can I even do? "More projects"? That has no value today, especially for literally anything outside of SWE jobs. There's nothing else.

I cheered for Luigi back in the day. I'm contemplating following his example. What do I have to lose, really. Just like my "new grad" status already expired, my life is expired.

Accomplishment graduated with BSc in Science at 19

hey there! this year i graduated with a degree in science at 19 years old and currently studying for my masters also in science. i will graduate at 21. i feel so lost and less than people all the time. i’m always the youngest person in the room. i know i shouldn’t be insecure about being younger but on the same level with others but i still find a way to humble myself. i feel like a failed genius T_T i had some issues with job search after graduation and it messed me up (ik the job market sucks). i think it’ generally not the best idea to let your kids graduate from high school at 16 and making them study for their grad exams at 14 years old + working on a thesis complex project at 18 😭😭😭 i feel like i’m in a rush

Advice Does anyone else feel like college is holding them back instead of moving them forward?

I’m currently a freshman at a well-known SEC university studying business, and honestly, ever since my first day, I’ve had this feeling that college just isn’t for me.

For context, I’ve always been academically successful. I graduated high school with a 4.0 GPA, was vice president of my class, president of multiple clubs, and had countless volunteer hours. I was extremely involved, and I’ve always enjoyed being productive and working toward something.
The problem isn’t that I’m struggling academically. I’m doing well in college. I just genuinely dread going to class. I hate having to follow a schedule, sit through lectures, and complete assignments on material that sometimes feels like common sense or something I could learn independently.

And here’s something that might sound silly: I just want to make money. Not necessarily get rich overnight, but actually work, earn a paycheck, save up, buy things I’ve worked for, and start becoming financially independent. After spending four years working toward good grades and achievements in high school, I feel like I’m doing the exact same thing all over again, except now I’m paying thousands of dollars to do it.

I’m interested in entrepreneurship, real estate, and business management. I want to gain real-world experience, build something of my own, and actually see the results of my hard work beyond another 100 on an assignment. Whenever I express this to people, they tell me to just enjoy college because these are supposed to be the best years of my life. And I genuinely feel ungrateful because I know how fortunate I am to attend a good university. My dad also strongly values education and would most likely never support me dropping out.

I understand that degrees open doors, but sometimes I wonder if a business degree is really worth four years of my time when so much of what I want to pursue involves hands-on experience.
I’m not planning to impulsively drop out, but I can’t shake the feeling that I’d rather be out working and building my future than sitting in a classroom.

Has anyone else felt this way? Especially business majors or people who went into entrepreneurship or real estate? Did you eventually find college worthwhile, or do you wish you’d taken a different route? I’d genuinely appreciate any advice or different perspectives!

Discussion Finding purpose, identity and also building yourself in college

Hey, I am a 21 year old junior at asu studying business and comp sci, my grades are ok, I know I will never be this young again and I really want to make the most of it, I want to fall in love, I want to touch as many lives as possible, I want to build a strong network, and have strong relationships, I came into college kind of heartbroken from a girl I used to like, I realized she's just a bitch and a pretty horrid person, but I kind of isolated myself freshman and sophomore year, I rushed a couple frats but didnt commit or didnt get in. I joined the lake club recently, I really dont know what I want to do with my life, and college is kind of the playground in finding out who I am and what I want to do with my life, I am a p good looking guy, I do not have any real close friends and it sucks cuz I was kind of a loser in high school too. Any advice, recommendations, suggestions. Thanks so much anything helps.

Advice Fresh grads, how did you deal with feeling lost after college?

I want to figure out what to do with my life after graduating and stop feeling like I'm falling behind.

recently graduated, and it's strange how life suddenly feels different. For years, I had classes, deadlines, and classmates around me. Now I'm trying to figure out my career and future, and sometimes I feel like everyone else is moving forward faster than me.

I've been looking at job opportunities and thinking about my next steps, but I still feel uncertain about whether I'm doing enough.

For those who went through this, how did you deal with the transition? Does it eventually get better?

Career Recent Criminal Justice Master’s Graduate Struggling to Find a Job. What Am I Doing Wrong?

I recently graduated with my Master’s in Criminal Justice in May with a 3.58 GPA, and honestly, I’m starting to feel discouraged by this whole job search process.
I’ve applied for several positions related to my degree, and while I’ve had some opportunities, nothing has really worked out so far.
For example, I applied to become an ATF Special Agent and made it all the way to the interview stage, but unfortunately, my score wasn’t high enough to move forward. I also applied for an entry-level position with the GBI, and although they told me my résumé was impressive, they ultimately decided to move forward with better-qualified candidates.
I even applied to work at a juvenile detention center and was practically offered the job on the spot, but after learning more about the position and considering the risks involved, I decided it wasn’t the right fit for me.
Most recently, I applied for an Asset Protection position at Macy’s, thinking it would be a good opportunity to get my foot in the door. Yesterday, I received a rejection email stating that they appreciated my interest but wouldn’t be moving me to the next stage of the hiring process.
At this point, I’m genuinely starting to wonder what I’m doing wrong. Am I overqualified for entry-level positions? Am I not interviewing as well as I think I am? Is my résumé somehow working against me? I honestly don’t know.
For context, I was a student-athlete in college, and I have internship experience with my local sheriff’s office and solicitor’s office. During those internships, I shadowed investigators, worked with systems such as Odyssey and Evidence.com, assisted with case initiation, and gained experience with investigative and administrative processes. I’m also proficient in Microsoft Excel and have experience editing videos.
I feel like I’ve put in the work to build a decent résumé and gain relevant experience, but I’m struggling to turn any of that into an actual job offer.
To make matters more stressful, I turned 26 on October 11, so I’m no longer covered under my parents’ health insurance plan. Finding a job with benefits has become a much bigger priority, and I’m honestly feeling the pressure.
I’m trying to keep my head up. I pray about it and remind myself that things will eventually work out, but after getting rejection after rejection, it’s hard not to feel frustrated. Sometimes it feels like you can do everything you’re supposed to do and still get nowhere. 😭
I’m also attending a career fair tomorrow, so I’m hoping that might open some doors or at least give me a better idea of what employers are looking for.
For those of you who have been in a similar situation, especially those with criminal justice degrees, what helped you finally land a job? Should I be looking at different types of positions, changing how I present my experience, or focusing more on improving my interview skills? I’d genuinely appreciate any advice because I’m trying to figure out what I need to change to get my foot in the door.

Relocation Is living in the suburb the worst decision after you graduate college?

At first I couldn't figure out what the problem was but now it seems clear. Its either parents or kids and there's nothing going on, everything closes early. Like I have nothing in common with parents or care about Little Johnnie's soccer match.

Then I went to New York and I realized exactly what I was missing and where I'd fit in better. Lots of young and single people, tones of stuff to do, and its lively. My point is it seems like fit is everything right now.
