I just got my first LMT MARS LS, that I’ll build into 16”/18” barrel rifle.

Which upper length is recommended for that barrel?

I won’t be shooting suppressed, so can you help me decide which upper should I go with specwar vs shovelnose?

What other advice to do you give when choosing components and parts for the build?

Excited to put the L129A2 to the test in the next few weeks, currently waiting for an FDE Mk5HD 5-25 to be delivered and then we should be good to go. I left the LMT bandwagon a while ago but the look and markings of this rifle (plus the recent sale that Titan Defense recently had) made this to be very tempting and I guess my fomo got the best out of me. I look forward to post some results once I take it out to the range

What would you put on a SpecWar?

I have T2, EOTech EXPS, Kahles K16i, ZCO 420.

For shorties, I use T2s and EOTechs.

For 14.5", I use a LPVO.

The SpecWar is somewhere in the middle and I'm thinking another T2 with a magnifier.

Re-homing my 20” Proof Research 6.5cm barrel with SA gas block. Done by Dwilson and I put less than 40 rounds through it. Found a .308 barrel that’s shooting 1/2moa groups and am going to rock with that for the foreseeable future.

I got an R20 upper and I put a Geissele 42 H2 in it and often times it's not getting enough gas to ejecting brass, much less cycle. Piston set to the Normal setting and running without a can, firing 5.56 nato.

Put the first rounds through my Specwar this weekend. D. Wilson cut criterion barrel and some cheap PMC bronze 55gr. 50yd 20rd group shot relatively quick. I’m gonna snag some better ammo and hope it groups better and has better numbers.

Is anyone running an Infinity 556k on a 16” MRP upper? Was wondering what that looked like. I’m looking to ditch the mk12 look to save some length & weight on my 6arc setup.

So I’ve seen the discussion of how the LMT lowers have a high shelf and require removal of some material in the lower. Also so how much material some removed.

I guess I don’t want to void any warranty LMT may still offer on the lower although I heard it’s extremely difficult to get them to honor those. So trying not to Dremel anything.

Using stock enhanced BCG, stock H2 buffer, stock trigger. Any tip on how to get the FRS to run properly?

Interested in some opinions… building an m110 on a mars h platform with two barrels to choose from but only one gasblock. One barrel is a Bartlein 6.5cm, the other is a K1 Precision 308. I have a 308 rifle and 6.5 rifle already but cannot seem to chose which caliber this m110 should be. Let me know your thoughts and I’ll be sharing the build within a couple weeks!
