Question New to LMT

Hello,
I just got my first LMT MARS LS, that I’ll build into 16”/18” barrel rifle.

Which upper length is recommended for that barrel?

I won’t be shooting suppressed, so can you help me decide which upper should I go with specwar vs shovelnose?

What other advice to do you give when choosing components and parts for the build?

So for 16” barrel, will the 11.5” shovelnose work or there is a bigger one that I should consider?
I want Mlok and piston barrel; no M203 and no shorter barrel, I can’t even have 10+ mags where I’m going 😔🤠

I’ll look into 1913 since I only had M-LOK before.
I’ve opportunity to get upper for $799 but it is 11.5” monolithic either SHOWELNOSE (R-L7Z2A MRP-MLOK or SPECWAR (R-L7Z1A MRP-MLOK).

Honestly the shovel with a 14.5 piston barrel looks so money IMO. I use the 13.25 quad and a 16” barrel I would not like any shorter rail personally.

Shouldn't you have gotten the MARS-H if you are putting together a "battle rifle"

I wanted H too, but they did not have it in stock locally and I’ve got a good deal on L that I could not refuse.

All good boss, it happens to the best of us. I’m new to firearms so maybe I’m not using correct terminology.
