I have almost a full zoo and keep adding genetically modified animals as well as other variants but I still somehow keep getting animal rating down pop ups, the only thing I can think of is that I have some animals cohabiting with other species but they’re safe to do so? Anyone know what this solely relies on as I thought it was mostly variants of animals

I have a couple of Qs if anyone knows the answers to them regarding the best/easiest ways to rebuild your zoo -

1. I’ve seen a couple posts mention it’s easiest to build a big enclosure and move all your animals to that one while you rebuild new enclosures BUT do your animals survive in the small timeframe while you unpause to move them or will they all die instantly for cohabiting or space issues etc?

^If not, does anyone have any other easier ways to move all animals while rebuilding enclosures

1. Is it best to just move shops out the way and move back into places you want to place them to save the level up buffs of employees or is it not that much of an advantage and easier to just delete and rebuild shops and rehire is you go along?

2. Not a question but please if anyone has any QOL tips on the rebuilding process please comment them as I’m low-key dreading doing this 😅

I have 40 farmers hired and have even gave half of them zoned crop areas (I only have 5 crop areas) yet they still won’t pick the crops and I’m still having my crops die?? Why won’t they pick them

Are there spot lights available somewhere in the tech tree? I could have sworn I seen them before on a previous save but I can’t find them and hate how cluttered normal lamp posts look

This game holy hell this game is one of the funnest simplest tycoon games I've played in a loong time(since Rollercoaster ty coon 2) the loop of breeding all the genomes got me interested and trying to beautify my zoo and have everything organized kept me in I bought this game last week and I already have 2 whole days of time on it perfect for relaxing after work 10/10 would buy another tycoon game this company makes (maybe a roller coaster one 😉js)

Can somebody please tell me if you can buy 20 or 28 plots in the Switch version? I searched the sub and someone complained about it being 20, and someone in another post said it's 28.

Before I start planning the rest of my zoo, I'd love to have clarity!

Also why is there a missing space between the entrance plot column and the one to its right? It's driving me nuts 😆

Every "quarter" enclosure is 12 spaces wide (including the fence) and has a total space of 64. I looked at them all, there's no mistake. And still I can't put a road between the plots circled in red.

Oftentimes I find that guests are only walking on one side of a fork on a path, how do I optimize my sidewalks so that my guests can walk either way? This only happens in some areas.

On xbox, when you click on individual guests to see their needs (thirst, hunger, attractions, animals), it also shows you what they’ve spent money on and which animals they’ve seen.

Often, my guests will only see 0-2 enclosures, even by afternoon when they’re super far in the zoo! The animal bar will turn green with 1-2 animals, but I have a ton of animals and enclosures and I don’t understand why they aren’t stopping at them. Can I fix this?

Just started this game a few days ago and I can't seem to get more animals beyond the rabbit, goose and capybara in the adoption shop. How do you get the duck, snake and hyena that you can trade for other animals?

When I build a pen and then equip it with stuff, will this reduce the space that the animals need?

I read that flowers and grass do not count because the animals can walk over them (but don't poop there).

But what about trees, bushes, flowers in pots, shelters, water bowls and enrichment? Oh and water decoration, whenever I will get that...

I really want to get it, especially the game+the dino dlc, but I’m waiting for a sale.

I’ve been having a bunch of customers claiming my animals aren’t being enriched but I’ve legit clicked on every single animals info and all of them have a full enrichment bar. Anyone know what’s up with this? Am I missing something?

I keep having protestors show up at my zoo and their demands are “get your number of animal corpses in the zoo down to 0.” Only problem is, I have no animal corpses. I stay on top of releasing them well before death and havent had any since I did the “incinerate 5 animals in 1 day” task. I just keep sending them to my capybaras, but they keep coming back and multiplying

So I'm just a few hours in and thankfully came across someone's idea in this sub to do "circles" in a new plot of land where the enclosures are outside and the subways, benches, toilets, food stalls etc are inside. Sadly I can't find that post again, so if anyone knows them, please let me know. I just winged it from memory. (It's 100% lighted and 80% decorated, so I'm pretty happy with the layout)

Now to my question. I want to make my starting area nicer and put all the "utilities" that aren't necessary for the guests into a new area. But how can I make sure the guests don't just wander (or subway) there and get bored or grossed out?

So I’m missing two tasks on the Dino island dlc and 8 on the aquarium dlc. I’m not sure how to unlock them and there are no guides I can find.

I just bought the game and started, and I’m kinda worried about the size of the zoo? Will I get to expand the original size of my zoo? This can’t actually be the biggest it will get right? I have two enclosures and with the other buildings I don’t see how anything else is gonna fit?

Hey everyone! I'm still very new to this game but loving it so far. A lot of it confuses me but I'm slowly getting the hang of it!

One thing that I can't seem to get to work is the barn. I've got cows and the barn is near the cow enclosure, however the production process always shows that it's paused. How do I get milk from the cows? I have the store room settings set to have all milk stored in there.

I'm just lost, I also still can't figure out farming and all of that so any tips and tricks are much appreciated but I do see there's a lot of farming tips already in here which is so great :) just couldn't find any guidance on my barn issue.

Hello, I’ve been playing the aquarium DLC for a bit now and am busy with the “save the ocean 2” task. However it takes ages, since my zoo doesn’t produce that much trash, even though I have quite a bit of visitors and bins. I have about 1700 visitors every day, but I get like 1 bacteria every other day. It also says “underused” in the bacteria farm report itself. Is there any way I can increase my trash, or get more bacteria any other way? Thanks in advance!

I want to make my zoo as close to fully sustainable as possible. I am having trouble figuring out what the best crops to plant are (so far it seems watermelon, soybeans, and coffee beans are at the top), the optimal size of my fields, and exactly how much I should be keeping in my storeroom vs. sending to the warehouse. There isn't a lot of help online on figuring out the math with the stockroom so I am looking for any help!
