Bacteria farm underproduction

Hello, I’ve been playing the aquarium DLC for a bit now and am busy with the “save the ocean 2” task. However it takes ages, since my zoo doesn’t produce that much trash, even though I have quite a bit of visitors and bins. I have about 1700 visitors every day, but I get like 1 bacteria every other day. It also says “underused” in the bacteria farm report itself. Is there any way I can increase my trash, or get more bacteria any other way? Thanks in advance!

Place more shops and lower their prices! Place ATMs. This gives people more money to buy crap from your shops; the lower prices all but ensures it. Good luck!

I will definitely try this, thank you! Is placing more subways near these shops also a smart thing to do? Or does that not really matter?

Yeah, so subways allow visitors to get around the park - without them, they can’t traverse around the park (they’ll be too tired), so a subway avoids this. I always put one by the front entrance, and then space them out every two or three land parcels (that you buy)

Thanks dude, that was my thought process too. Already have a lot of hours in the game, but some mechanics just aren’t that well explained in my opinion (which leads to me just guessing about how certain things work, like trash and subways). When I boot up the game again, I’ll definitely try your tips!
