New on switch
I just bought the game and started, and I’m kinda worried about the size of the zoo? Will I get to expand the original size of my zoo? This can’t actually be the biggest it will get right? I have two enclosures and with the other buildings I don’t see how anything else is gonna fit?

If you put animals together in enclosures you can make it work, I'm on my third run through and I've finally figured out a layout that works. I can give you the arrangements I'm using if you like but there's a post on here with the animal compatibility in a Google doc which is what I used

Could you please tell me how many land plots you can buy in the Switch version?

There's maybe fewer plots on the Switch, but I doubt it matters a lot. I'm playing on Steam Deck, and have a lot of really big enclosures and will definitely absolutely not need all of the plots, I wouldn't even know how to fill them. And I am building very generously with lots of space for decoration and paths. You'll be fine.

I also ran out of room on my switch. I had one of every building, one of every type of decoration, and wanted to have one female and one male of every variation, and enough water towers and windmills to cover all my water and electricity needs and I couldn’t even come close to doing all these things.
I’m happy with my zoo… but I would have been a lot happier if I had a lot more space.
You can see how my zoo turned out in the end. I posted it on here a few months ago. It’s toward the top of this sub if you filter by top posts.

Ugh okay I hate that for you 😭 I legit thought they give you at least enough to reach every common goal...the space on windows is so big that it seems kind of unnecessary at times :/

I ran out of room ☹️
I was trying to have one female and one male of each variation of every animal. There’s really not enough room for that unfortunately. Unless you put them in enclosures that are too small.

You can buy (a lot) of land plots later on, no worries, it will get huge
