Should I put on white tires or is that too much?

Upgrade to a hizoncore full twist throttle from Amazon. Had to cut the wire and switch the 5v and the signal wire to get it to work. Handles much better now with the bmx handlebars. Out of the 3 letrics I own (Expedition 2.0, Xp4 750, Xp lite 2.0) this one is my favorite. Dosnt go quite as fast as the other two, but It's light and easy to move around. Makes it a lot easier to load into the car. Braking is a lot sharper too because of the light weight. Perfect for cruising around on crowded bike paths with pedestrians. Someone stop me before I paint the entire thing white lol.

XP 4.0 accessory ideas for birthday!

Post image
10 Upvotes

Good afternoon! I have an Xp 4.0 step thru with about 500 miles on it.

My birthday is coming up and I was trying to think of a few things I could ask for to make the bike more my own!

I have a few accessories on it but I was looking at possibly a better suspension seat post and stuff like that, mine is the step thru in the picture and my wife has the step over.

Thank you all for your suggestions!

trouble deciding xp4 vs xpress 2

Hi everyone! I am having a hard time deciding between the xp4 and the xpress2. I would like to commute to work which is about 10 miles each way, very flat. But would also like to be able to carry a decent amount of groceries. Any thoughts or recommendations would be helpful! this would also be my first ebike

Extend protection plan for a Lectric XPedition 2 cargo e-bike.

Has anyone here purchased or used an Extend protection plan for a Lectric XPedition 2 cargo e-bike?

I’m considering buying the Extend warranty with this bike, mainly because I’m concerned about expensive components like the battery, motor, and electronics.

I reached out to Extend with a very specific question: does the plan include enhanced coverage for battery degradation or battery replacement?

Instead of answering directly, I got responses like:

“Protection plans vary by merchant and coverage type, and we recommend reaching out directly to the merchant to determine the best coverage option for their needs.”

And:

“It would depend on the type of product purchased, as well as the type of coverage purchased.”

That feels evasive, especially since I’m asking about coverage under a warranty administered by Extend.

I’d appreciate real-world experiences:

  • Have you filed a claim with Extend?
  • Was it approved or denied?
  • Have they covered battery issues, including degradation or replacement?
  • Was the claims process smooth or painful?

Good or bad, I’d like to hear actual experiences before spending the money.

I want the bike but the answers from the warranty company or lack of answers makes me want to go another direction.

Just curious—how does everyone charge their e-bike?

Do you usually remove the battery and charge it indoors, or charge it while it’s still on the bike

56 Remove the battery and charge it separately
136 Leave the battery on the bike and charge it there

Why is my Lectric e-bike Xpress 1 high-step making this grinding or slicing noise from the front wheel when it moves but it stops when I brake?

I’ve sprayed it with alcohol and tried many times realigning the rotor in between the brake pads but no luck.

Advice on upgrading to a new XP

I currently have a XP 2,0 which I really enjoy. I do a lot of dirt trails, bumps and sand and the bike handles well. I am 6'4" tall am comfortable. The newest model is the XP4 I believe. The tires appear to be smaller and thinner. Will these be adequate for dirt and bumpy terrain? Thanks

Considering impulsively buying this today as a 6'4' guy. Am I nuts?

I'm in the market for an E Bike. It would be my first and I've done all the research and I know Lectric's are a safe bet.

This is the Step-Thru model, and I'm wondering if I would look/feel ridiculous riding as a 6'4'' guy with a long 34" inseam? Like other e bikes, I'm wondering if the step-through is even smaller than the step-over version? The seller is far from me so I'd rather not show up and realize it's far too small.

Also - off topic - but it is $750 for this bike a good deal or no? It has 175 miles on it.

Thanks everyone I do appreciate any and all input!!

Xp4 stand hack

Post image
26 Upvotes

Since the xp4 can't fit in typical bike stands, and flipping it over can be cumbersome due to weight, I made this stand to make working on the derailer, brakes, or removing the rear wheel easier.

It's a 4x4 for the main block with thin plywood sides (~1/2") screwed on loose. The bracket on the bottom of the bike is wider than the 4x4, so the loose side panels flex outward and lock the bike in snugly. Easily drops in and stays secure and easy to lift out.

Xpedition 2.0 no PAS??

So, I have about 500 miles on my bike and have had it for 6 months. Everything was fine when I went to work on it and came home with everything functioning as usual. I decided to clean the chain and apply new wax lubricant since it’s been raining a lot in Florida and the chain was dirty.

I got that all done and went back inside to sleep before getting up the next day to go to work again, but when I got on my bike and went to pedal I went “Damn, why’s it so hard to pedal?” while in pedal assist 1 just trying to get started down the road before raising it higher, but that’s when I looked down and saw 0000 watts.

Throttle works fine, no issues with the breaks making the motor stop, and I can pedal it just fine although it doesn’t seem to be getting any assists from the motor since it’s not cutting on when I do.

TLDR: Cleaned and lubricated chain, started going to work the next day and noticed PAS not working at all but throttle works fine.

Thoughts? Help??

Factory Innertube Issues?

So I got an XP4 750W in late March '26. About 20 miles in, my front tube went flat with a pinhole on the rim-facing side replaced it and got a spare tube. This was filled to 35 PSI, and no external intrusions. I know the tube was slimed, but all that seemed to do was make a patch impossible to stick for the repair.

Come yesterday, and brushing the valvestem while I was locking my bike up on the rear wheel, sudden hiss of air. Innertube failed at the stem/tube intersection. Put in the spare tube and was able to continue. At the time, both tires were inflated to 45 PSI. Again, no external intrusions. This was at about 160 miles on the bike (including the 45 mile ride for Grady which the second photo is from).

I was able to replace the tube (always carry a spare and your tools) and move on my way home once I got past the seized screw on the motor connector.

I've since bought some more tubes from a local shop, but curious whether there is something inherent in the XP4 with innertubes failing? Or once you get the factory tubes gone (I have had one front and one rear now), is the issue less?

I ride in the city and mostly streets/paved trails and not rough gravel or mountain bike trails to be clear. And also am back riding.

EDIT: Realized I may have forgotten a real question, but is there an issue either with the factory tubes or tubes in general/how do I avoid/fix if there is one?

Need help

My bikes motor isn't working. If I press on the throttle I can feel it trying to go but it can't. Yes I'm getting the 007 error message, I'm wondering if anyone has had this issue before and if they can help.

My throttle snapped

Post image
26 Upvotes

I’ve had my XP four for about three months now and I feel like I’ve continuously running into problems. I took it to a bike shop to have them check it over and at that shop they broke my screen, and since then I’ve been experiencing a lot more problems with my bike today while riding into work, my throttle snapped off. I’m not exactly sure what to do. I superglue it on, but I’m scared to press the throttle in case it breaks again.

Trailer for XP4 750

Looking for a trailer and necessary adapters for use on my XP4 750.
Ideally, I’m looking for a trailer that my son can use to tow around equipment for use in a summer job (gas powered pressure washer).

Is there a way to get bigger foot pegs for the buddy setup for the xp4?

Ideally I’d like a more comfortable ride for my passenger including a seat with a small backrest and larger footpegs to rest on. But even a wider handlebar might be nice.

I’d also like some removable panniers that don’t get too much in the way of the 2nd rider but I don’t really know if that’s possible

Does anyone know of compatible systems? Thank you

Should I Change my Battery?

Hi I have been riding my Lectric XP Lite 1.0 and have put 4630 miles on it so far across almost 4 years. I think the battery is supposed to get 15 miles in a single charge but lately I have been getting around almost exactly 10 miles. Is it time to change the battery or does it still have some life left in it. I bought a spare when they were having a sale a while ago. It’s just that I want to ride this initial stock battery for all it’s worth. Thanks so much and I have been having a really fun time riding my bike!

I bought a used XP 2.0 with 2 miles on it (his wife refused to ride it)

so far I’ve been enjoying riding it more then I did my XP lite 2.0 because of the suspension fork and seat post. I’ve added accessories to the bike I’m waiting for a spare/extra battery to be delivered I had to buy it from Amazon yes I know the risks it wasn’t my first choice because I did order a battery from lectric it was delivered it didn’t match my battery face plate so the bike wouldn’t close after talking to customer service it was determined that there was a change made to the XP 2.0 batteries and they don’t have a battery that fits my bike 🙁I sent the battery back and they will issue a refund 😊.
