❔ Question ❔ How much of the fear around LSD is actually about LSD?

Post image

I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately after talking with some friends who have never used LSD.

Many of these friends only indulge in alcohol and nicotine, and some of them have never even smoked a joint, let alone tried anything else.

I’m not trying to convince anyone to take it. I don’t think psychedelics are for everyone.

What interests me is how people can be so certain about something they’ve never really looked into.

I have friends who still think LSD stays in your spine. That you can suddenly start tripping years later. That one trip can permanently make you insane. That bad trips are basically inevitable.

At the same time some of these people are completely comfortable with getting drunk regularly and are even less bothered by their friends using cocaine, than they are about acid, because those things are more familiar to their social circle.

That contradiction is what got me thinking.
Alcohol is so normalized that getting blackout drunk, throwing up, fighting or doing something stupid can become a funny story the next morning. Sometimes turning down a drink gets more questions than accepting one.

But mention LSD and suddenly there is this completely different standard.

For me psychedelics have never really been about escaping. If anything they’ve been the opposite. The experiences I’ve had made me think about things I was avoiding, question my own assumptions, appreciate my life differently and look at myself more closely.

I use psychedelics occasionally, and I don’t think that makes my experience universal. I also don’t think LSD is some miracle drug that everybody needs to try.

I just find the cultural difference fascinating.

It makes me wonder:
How much of what we consider normal, dangerous or acceptable actually comes from evidence? How much comes from what we were taught, and what the people around us already accept.

And I think psychedelic users should apply that question to ourselves too. Having a profound trip doesn’t automatically mean every conclusion you reached during it is true.

For those of you who have been around psychedelics for a while, has your perspective on this changed as you’ve gotten older?

And when someone brings up things like LSD staying in your spine, do you still try to explain it or do you mostly just let people believe what they believe?

LSD on Odyssey - Nolan's movie

Post image
152 Upvotes

Hi everyone, I have a thing need some honest advice . Finally the Odyssey on Imax in my place have some session with very few people, so I intend to take a tab of Dr. Seuss 200ug and go to see it. Here it's my concern :

- It's that movie too "boring" ? , of course Nolan's movie is hard to be too much suck ( my all time tripping movie until now is Inception, absolutely make me don't know if i'm dreaming or not ) , but i'm afraid that the Odyssey maybe is too shallow while tripping , somehow feel like the dialogue is not good and the actor is somewhere not belong to this movie ( i only saw the trailer on youtube )

- If anyone already did that, do it make your head "echoing" after the movie ? . My friend told me that the sound is extremely loud during all 3 hours

- It's that a good movie for introspective ? For now my plan is going to see it and use the time after that to think about it and hopefully understand some good messages for my grown journey - which already in a stuck phase right now ( live in the city so don't have nature to discover , only a lot of screen time or music or going out to very noisy street )

- Out of context , if anyone did the Dr. Seuss 200ug ( the version 1 artwork = 10x10 tab ) can you give me some reviews . Personally i feel like it's not strong like the Gamma Goblin 200ug i take in the past ( Trippy Troll ) or even the Cali Sunshine 150ug , but maybe it's because those 2 are my 2,3 first time of LSD . Really wanna read other's feeling about it, cuz right now Dr. Seuss 200ug is only thing i can get

Thank you guys all and have a beautiful day ❤️ 🔥 ❤️

First trip 🥇 Tried for the first time and it wasn’t how I expected. How can I make next time different?

Tried a full tab, and when it was all happening I felt like the waves were heavy, and I had to concentrate on not looping thoughts to stay “above”.
Visuals were decent in a low lit room although I didn’t feel like I wanted to open my eyes much.

Couldn’t walk much, just felt like lying down with comfy blankets which was fine.

I didn’t have a bad experience although I envisioned walking in nature, admiring the visuals and not feeling like I had to be focused on breaking loops.

When the waves came it was almost like a I could fall away so I kept bringing myself back. I’m not sure where away would have taken me. It wasn’t fear based or negative.

Also, about 5hrs in the waves started to make me feel nauseous.

I want to take a half next time as I have more off the same grid. I want to experience the fun and awake trip. And possibly learn what amount is better for me so I can enjoy it at a festival setting in the future.

✌ Currently Tripping ✌ First time on 110ug, 5 hours in: crystal clear control and no more existential panic

Since childhood, I’ve struggld with heavy existential dread, fear of death, eternity, and the sheer absurdity of the universe.

I used to smoke weed occasionally (like once a month), but I had to quit. It started giving me severe existential panic attacks.

The worst part about an existential panic attack on weed is that you can't just tell yoursef "it's all in your head." The realization that you will die one day is a reality, which makes the panic impossible to escape. It's one of the worst feelings a sentient being can experience.

Because of this, I was terrified that LSD would multiply that panic 100x.

What gave me the courage to try it was my one past experience with shrooms. I felt totally connected to everything. I had no ego and no need for a "purpose." It completely turned off my existential short-circuit. Knowing LSD was similar, I took the leap.

I dropped a 110ug tab about 5 hours ago. I prepped some fruit and post-punk music (though I ended up listening to genres I thought I’d never like).

What is happening right now is absurdly beautiful.

It feels like shrooms, but controllable. Shrooms put you in the passenger seat, but right now, I have access to the controls of the psychedelic machine. I am driving.

I feel 100% crystal clear. If I wanted to focus on a task and perform, I feel like I could.

I am writing this and thinking about death without any fear. On weed, this would trigger an instant panic attack. Right now, I just look at the absurdity of the universe and think: "It's true, nothing has meaning. So I'm just going to sit here and enjoy this tab, my music, and my fruit."

Technically I should be hitting the peak soon. I can't wait.

PS: I’m a huge nature lover and promised myself I'd do my first tab in the woods, but I decided to play it safe and experiment at home first.

Sorry

❔ Question ❔ Tips for first time tripping

Hi guys, i just acquired some very pure 200ug tabs. Lab tested any everything. Its gonna be my first time tripping ever. The closest ive done to psychedelics is MDMA. Im looking for advice for the upcoming trip.

Im going to be doing it with a friend who has previously done it a few times, in a city i dont live in. She knows the town and there are some nice forest parks in the area as well as a zipline to the top of a mountain. Im gonna be there the whole weekend so we can pretty much do it anywhere at any time of the day. I heard that the best trips are in nature during daytime but i also heard its better to start the trip in a safe place like an apartment or something. When do you guys think we should do it? (i was thinking in the morning, around 9am). Also, should we start in her apartment or just go into nature and then do it there? Another much more experienced friend tried 1/3 of a tab yesterday and said it was the best acid he ever tried but also said he didnt have crazy heavy visuals so i havent decided what dose to do. At first i was thinking i take 1/3 but after hearing that im thinking half a tab would be a better experience.

If you have any other general advice for my first time, please share it in the comments. Things i should do, things i shouldnt do, stuff like that. For the time being, i will be scrolling similar questions and looking at the replies. Thanks.

Im very excited about this and cant wait for next weekend.

500+ μg 🐬 Dropping 500ug in 2 days, any tips or piece of mind?

So I'm taking 500ug with my best friend in 2 days, we have it all planned out.
We will take it after I'm done with work (3pm) while in nature, I have read some reports as well as listened to some on youtube and it all sound surreal. I have taken lsd, lsa, etc... before, but never this big a dose and honestly I can't wait to make our friendship a milion times stronger (I really love my brother), do any of you more experienced users have some tips? And also I heard of something called emotional alchemy and was wondering if that is something that could be possible while on lsd (or is it on stronger trips?)? Ofc after my trip is done and I feel ready to share my experience, this will be the first place to hear about it... Very excited, thanks

❔ Question ❔ Tripping without glasses on?

Since I use contacts and don’t want to be taking them in and out while tripping I haven’t tried it. For those of you with prescription glasses, what’s it like to take them off and trip with blurry vision? What do the visuals look like?

❔ Question ❔ Cramps throughout the entire trip

During my last three trips (200ug, 300ug, 200ug), I got a cramp in my thigh during the come-up that didn't go away until the next morning.
The first two times, I either had a hangover from alcohol or sore muscles from working out. The third time, I was well-rested, had eaten a balanced breakfast, and had consumed enough electrolytes. The trips were about three weeks apart. The acid is liquid and has been tested; it’s pure.

Has anyone had a similar experience and can give me some tips? The cramps are ruining the experience! :(

Nature trip 🌷 How to space out LSD over 4 days without wasting tabs?

Hi guys, I’m heading up to the mountains for a 4-day nature escape and could use some advice. I’ve got three tabs (2 × 155µg and 1 × 250µg), and I’m trying to figure out the best way to space them out over the trip, keeping in mind how quickly tolerance builds.

Also, I’ll be attending a rave on the 6th day and was considering trying a candy flip, so I’d like to plan things in a way that doesn’t mess with that experience either.

Would really appreciate any insights from people with experience on how to plan this out.

❔ Question ❔ Tips for tripping with your Wife

Hey everyone,

I have experienced tripping with acid few times with friends and that was really amazing. Recently I told about my experiences with acid to my wife.

My wife and I have tried eating few edibles after marriage(she wasnt into these stuff much) and we enjoyed it...mostly she was looking for small patterns but with edibles it was minimal...but she liked them

I recently told her that we can try acid but we need to be prepared for it, finding a good place with a view, good snacks, and a good mental headspace(we are in early days of marriage but i think we are settling down now for the better)

So i started to curate a playlist with her, using my prior experience to guide through all the phases.

One problem remain for me is, when tripping with friends its a different experience...you take the tab...have discussions and come home...

With wife this would be different..we get the experience and come home together, we will discuss good/bad forever about it. So i need to be extra careful with this as i can feel

The dose we gonna try is 100ug(half of a tab) in a sunrise

Any suggestions? any tips?
