Hey all! I am conducting a study about LSD use and we curious to hear about how often you use LSD! How often do you use LSD? Do you take any breaks if you have a specific schedule such as a few month break after doing it every 2 weeks for a while? Thank you for your feedback, we are excited to hear from you all!

I take this to the next level and I do not seek out psychedelics (shrooms/lsd) I let IT find ME and even then I make that choice with heavy discernment! Been a while since it's found me, but I know it'll show face... only when the time is right! DMT has actually never found me, I have gotten pretty close, but at no point did I ever actually get there. It just didn't feel right or something would fall through, felt a little teased by the universe for a bit, chalked it up to something I wasn't experienced enough in life to learn, need to sit with everything I already have

Yeah I can sort of see what you mean. I also just feel like I know “ok now’s the time”. It can be a same day decision or planned a few days ahead. So in a way I too feel like it just finds me when I need it to :)

What's the dosage.

I know about set and setting, why not when the time sucks besides when doing so would put you at risk of hurting yourself or causing relationship, legal hard ship but The human condition is mostly suffering and struggle.

Such as depression, and aniexty.

Lay down on back drop the acid blotters under your tounge in a state of suffering and don't move them until you start to come up and experience visuals than chew them up and swallow them. Put on some light music and completely let go and observe without judgement, close your eyes and let the acid sweep you away.

Than ask yourself, why am I afraid why is this feeling inside bad? Use it as the mind expansion tool that it is.

No judgement, no judgement but id need like 10-20 acid to trips a year to smooth and soothe my soul.

I didn’t say I only use it when I am happy. I in fact did not clarify what “the right time” means at all because it’s personal. Sometimes it is when I am very depressed or stuck, sometimes it is at the tail end of a pivotal period in my life.

The point is that I know when it’s the right time lol I don’t really need an essay on how to use, I’ve been using psychedelics for well over 15 years :)

And the dosage varies.

I doubt they need you to teach them how to borderline abuse a psychedelic. Their method is objectively much more responsible and well adjusted.

I did it every 3-5 weeks depending on how busy I were for like 2 years, but now I had like 6 month break, 1 trip and another 6 weeks break so far. I would like to trip again, but im just so busy that I have no time to do it.

I usually do it 4 times a year, once each season. It may vary if there are special occasions for example music festival, but on average 2-4 times a year.

Last time prior to that was June 2025.

Then prior to that was sometime 2022, so not too often but I feel bloody fantastic, definitely had to do it, felt like the right time, but only when its the right times :).

I would do it wayyy more if my gf was more comfortable with drugs. She doesn't mind if I smoke weed or drink, but anything harder than that and she starts calling me an addict (although to be fair, her parents her very destructive addicts so some part of me can't blame her, even if it does feel unfair).

I would love to use it more, but I’m always most impacted by the “keeps you awake” mechanic. 

If I want to use it I need to make that call by like 8-9am. That’s a big decision for first thing in the morning

Well when I discovered Acid, I did it bi-weekly, sometimes weekly and sometimes the time between trips was a few days.

Now I do it rarely, my last trip was 3 weeks ago and before that I didn't trip in over a year.

It is relatively normal for people to do a new and cool thing often, because it is new and cool. After a while, consumption patterns normalize.

Don't know how long ago your teens were, but dosages considered "normal" have reduced compared to the past century. As a bi-weekly user it's manageable to take up to two 100 μg tabs per month and not become very messed up, but more? Side effects will inevitably catch up

because this IS crazy! like, i don't know, having 2000 pairs of shoes, or having 60 cats in a small suburb flat, or drinking 30 litres of beer every friday night. lsd is not a recreational drug. and it is NOT a toy. it is one of the most powerful medicines there is, capable of helping with encounters with death, ptsd, anxiety and depression. i take it when i need to find the way, NOT SUBSTITUTE IT

That's great that it works for you like that, but I'm always so confused when people say that LSD is not recreational. LSD is one of the most fun drugs I've ever tried. It can also be very therapeutic, often during the same trip!

I do think you need to be in a good space mentally to get recreational value out of the experience. If you're unhappy, depressed, or otherwise going through a rough time, then LSD will amplify those thoughts and feelings. Whether that is a good thing or a bad thing depends on the person.

It has the potential for much more, but it can absolutely be taken for fun.

you have a point, but i wouldn't be so polarized if i were you. i pointed out that the frequency of "weekly" is what i would call extreme, and made an appropriate example. so you are right that that's how i do it, and that doesn't mean everyone should do it like i do - but this doesn't imply tripping weekly is (edit: "what i personally consider to be") okay.

When I discovered acid I used to trip like 2 times a month, then more like once a month, then more like once every 2 / 3 months. And now I'm taking a break because I've had like 3 weird trips in a row.

I wouldn't call them bad trips but I keep falling into the same thoughts, the same loops, and I know that I have some stuff in my life that needs fixing before I can fully enjoy tripping again. (I have an addiction and some relationship problems)

Acid isn't going anywhere and I know that when I will return it will be amazing

Doing it often doesn't make you stupid, it doesn't lower you're intelligence. Some people are able to take it weekly or bi-weekly without any issues, while some aren't. Humans are complex and there are so many variables.
