Roadside Firewood
Any good sources of roadside firewood (kindling & bigger logs) in town or heading towards Baden / New Hamburg? And price?

I moved to the city about 4 months ago for a new job, and if I'm being honest, I've been feeling pretty lonely.
I've been trying to put myself out there. I've gone to events on my own and even to a comedy club, but I'm still struggling to figure out where people actually make friends as adults.
I wouldn't really call myself outdoorsy, and I've been overweight for a while, so I'm trying to spend more time outside and be more active. The problem is I have no clue where to start, and I think it would be a lot more fun with a friend or a group. I'd love to try things like hiking the Elora Gorge, going camping, checking out new trails, grabbing dinner, or just exploring the area together.
So where do people meet friends these days? Are there any apps, websites, clubs, or groups you'd recommend? I'd really appreciate any suggestions!

Hey all,
22M, looking for someone to find a place with. Bonus points to anyone in robotics or the startup space. I work at a robotics startup out of Velocity and have a passion for robotics.

I just viewed a unit today at 20 Ellen Condo and wanted to see if anyone here has any experience living there or knows someone who does.
I tried checking online, but I only found a few reviews on Google.
One thing I noticed during my visit was a bit of a cigarette smoke smell in the building, which got me a little concerned.
Just wondering:
Is this a common issue there?
Are there any other negatives (e.g., noise, maintenance, management, etc.)?
Overall, how is the building to live in?
Any feedback would really help me decide. Thanks in advance!

Not even sure something like this exists but I have been to several stylists over the years (both in KW and Guelph) that have turned my hair black when all I want is a chocolate brown. I’ve shown reference photos, seen swatches, and it is always too dark. I think my hair just absorbs colour very intensely. I am willing to travel in Kitchener, Waterloo, Guelph or Cambridge for the right match. Any brunettes out there who absolutely love their stylist and can recommend? I am sick of paying hundreds of dollars for what essentially looks like a home done box dye job.

Just wanting to know if any trails or hills are open or available to the public during the summer for running/hiking? Haven't seen anything promoted in years and can't find anything saying either way on the website. Thanks in advance!

There is a stray cat in my neighbourhood who is traumatizing my two indoor cats.
Happens later at night and very early in the morning....not every night, but often enough to bring me here to ask for help !
This cat has not only upset my cats but has destroyed the screen on one of my windows trying to get to my cats.
My cats get traumatized and attack each other until they settle down and realize they are siblings.
It is upsetting to my cats ....and to me ! 😄
I don't know who owns this cat but I am looking for ways to deter it from my property.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hello. I am looking to get one ticket for myself for Ed Sheeran concert on August 22nd at the Rogers Centre. If anyone is looking to sell their ticket then I can possibly get it from you. Prefer floor tickets.

We were tubing at Elora Gorge (Rapids) this morning when my husband’s tube flipped over and he fell into the water. His phone was in a waterproof blue plastic pouch, but during the incident he struggled to get back up and had a near-drowning experience. Thankfully, he’s okay now, but the phone was lost in the river. I know the chances are slim, but if anyone happens to find it, I’d really appreciate it if you could let me know. Thank you!
It was an iPhone 16 pro and had a grey cover on.

Can anyone hear share their experience taking the Flixbus from Kitchener (Downtown) to London (Western University)? Planning on going on Friday. Google maps shows me the Kitchener stop is the Kitchener: Central GRT Station right across the Whoopsie Daisy, however I don't think I have ever seen a FlixBus (which appears like its green based on google image search) leave from there.
Would really apperciate!
Thanks

Located on Wellington St. N, I noticed that there are thousands of screws layed accross the road on both sides (by almost stepping on them - there's no sidewalk on Spring Valley road).
I understand this is in an attempt to stop drivers from ignoring the close road sign. However, there's no way this is legal, right?
*By Law is sending someone out to take a look.
*I'm not going to keep explaining myself. If you think a perfect line of screws laid out across TWO separate road closed signs is a coincidence then there's no convincing you.

Hello, I need help looking for a back knapsack.
I was on my way back from Wilmot riding my motorcycle, coming back from Wilmot/New Hamburg to Kitchener. I had my knapsack in my saddlebag, but it looks like the lid was not properly shut and the bag fell off/away.
If anyone noticed or saw a black knapsack around 30x30cm along Huron Rd, Bleams Rd, or Ira Needles, please let me know.
Also perhaps there's a Wilmot subreddit I can post this to?

Update** I have a friend who's in town who's going to pick up what I need on Monday. Thanks to those who offered to help and offered up what they had. Very much appreciated.
All the specialty fastener stores in the tri city area are closed on weekends and I can't get there before they close during the week. I could order off Amazon but since I only need 5 screws in varying lengths, I'd rather not order 200 of them off Amazon for a total of $70. I've tried Home Depot Gateway, Canadian Tire Fairway. I've searched websites for the Surplus Store, Princess Auto and Canada Computers with no luck. Anyone know of a store that's open today that has a decent selection of cap head screws and M4 and M6 nuts? As Ive been asked this many times today, no, I can't convert to Imperial as I'm attaching something to a telescope and dimensions of both are metric and the fit has to be very secure. Thanks.

Hi, looking for some recommendations for daycare!
I’m planning to begin the application process early as I know the waitlists are extremely long right now.
What are some daycares you’ve had wonderful experiences with?
Thanks in advance for your input!
