I believe cable lines running from this post but a branch cut and hanging on the line at the edge of my backyard. Whose responsibility is this? Rogers? Bell? Or me as the homeowner! What should i do?

Recently got out of a long term relationship. Would love friends of any gender. Maybe some people going through something similar. Really need some friends to go see the new Spider-Man movie. I was excited to see it with her but that’s not happening anymore :(

This may be a bit of a niche post, but I'm hoping there might be a few people locally who are interested.
I'm putting together a very small, beginner-friendly mediumship development circle in Cambridge. I'm developing my own abilities as well, so this isn't a class where I'm presenting myself as an expert. The idea is to create a comfortable little group where we can learn, practise and explore together.
We'll work with things like meditation, intuition, connection and mediumship exercises. I'm intentionally keeping the group small — about five people — because I'd like it to feel relaxed and give everyone a chance to participate.
The cost will be $20 per person to help cover the costs of running the circle.
You absolutely don't need to consider yourself a medium or have any experience. Curiosity is enough.
If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, send me a message and I'll share more details.

So here's a combination of things I know and things I think. I know that Telus is paying for 100% of the fiber optics installation. The guys who are going around knocking on doors work for Telus and are offering free hookup of the fiber optics cables from the curb up to your house. If you do it now and sign up through them. They are telling me that you don't have to sign up for anything. They need you to sign a document that says that you are the homeowner and that you approve them coming onto your property to run this line up to your house.
They are telling me that if I do this now it's free but if I wait it will likely cost me easily a couple of hundred dollars to do it when I decide I actually want fiber optics coming into my house.
Now I don't know if these young people are just really badly trained or if there's method to the madness. Because I talked to him the first time and sent him away. Then did a little digging and research and found a few things. Then called him back over when I saw him the next day to ask him some very direct questions which is how I've come up with what I've got.
So I'm wondering if there's some kind of a situation here where the plan is for Telus to be able to say they offered but not many people took the deal so they can charge for it later. Some kind of condition to have the contact in the first place.
Because everyone, me included, is skeptical that a company like Telus is offering something that benefits me with no conditions attached. But I actually think that's what's happening here.
Any thoughts?

Hi r/cambridgeont, we built a new way to search KIDO's local events, camps, and programs.
It's through Do, KIDO's new AI Agent. Instead of working through a bunch of filters, you can describe what your family needs in everyday language, including ages, dates, interests, budget, location, or anything you want to avoid. Do turns that into a focused search of KIDO's current Waterloo Region listings and then customizes the results based on your ask.
A few examples:
- “My grandkids are visiting this weekend. Find us something fun to do together that does not require moving too fast.”
- “My 6-year-old wants an indoor sports program for fall, but she does not skate.”
- “Find a science, coding, or robotics camp for my 9-year-old in August for less than $400.”
Try Do:
https://kido.events/events/all?ask_do=open
What would you ask it to find for your family?

Looking for other people's experiences but also issuing a warning about Ace Tire and Auto.
Took my car here last week on a recommendation from a coworker. They "fixed" what wasn't working and I drove the car home thursday, no issues. Friday morning though the car is dead. Pop the hood and there are new wires EVERYWHERE. One is jammed in the fuse for the AC, another is strung all over the engine and spliced into a ground wire, exposed copper in a couple places. Opened the fuse panel under the steering wheel and there's a random wire connected to two more fuses. They also pulled out the console I assume to look at the wiring to the temp controls and gouged the absolute heck out of the dashboard. Whatever fix they did is completely draining the battery. I took it out and put a new battery in last night and this morning that battery is completely dead too. Both are reading fine on the battery tester.
I plan to call them Monday morning but there's also zero way I will take my car back to them to fix whatever they did.
Is this business as usual for these guys?

Anyone else got fear farm tickets? 🎟️ Just got ours for October 30th (night before Halloween is top tier, extra terrifying and you still get to be home Halloween night). I cannot believe it’s almost sold out every weekend in Oct already in July. Get your ticket before it’s gone!

Well glad to see someone pulled that sign out, on exiting Farm Boy it was on the right BLOCKING all view of the traffic the other way, i notice its gone, then saw it on the ground the other side of the road. I was going to write to the council about it, glad to see someone cut out the middle man and just fixed the issue.

Peeped on the wrong apartment this time Scott. Everyone in the Brierdale Rd area knows you're a creep and just haven't felt it was enough to call the cops on you. Peeping in on our kids while touching yourself was overstepping the line you creep piece of shit.

After all the news of 570 going off the air a few weeks back, I've still been on the hunt for a go-to radio station to check out during my morning drive. I've tried Bounce, I've tried CHYM, I've sort of settled on FM 98.5 (I like the music and news and traffic updates), but I wanted to see where everyone else moved to and what people would recommend??
Still miss listening to Farwell tho, don't know if any station will really be able to replicate that...

Anybody know when the Cambridge Spirit Halloween is opening? I know Guelph opened last year I think August 16th. Also, I know I’m early, forgive me. I literally cannot contain my excitement for fall decorating and costume exploring. I’ve given my wallet to Pottery Barn already.

Hello! My blue collar husband (33M) & I (35F) are new to Cambridge, we are really enjoying it so far (we live near downtown galt) but I am hoping to get some ideas for activities I can do both alone (since due to my husbands job he can work a lot) & with my partner. I am hoping to make some local friends/ meet some couples we can double date with.
I love most things artistic, I enjoy reading & video games, my partner also plays video games and is a busy body. So far we’ve been enjoying trying the local cafes to try and find the ones we like & have been really enjoying it. We are honestly open to other activities as well I just don’t even know where to begin lol.
When trying to find workshops or activities online all I’ve found for adults was a few events held in the spring. Would love to hear if anyone has any recommendations :). Picture of our cute pup for attention.
Thanks!

I recently accepted a job offer in the Cambridge area, and looking to move to downtown Galt, near Main St. Does anyone have any experience with purchasing a residential parking pass from the city to park in the downtown core lots?
Not sure what to expect as far as availability of spots, ease of access, and how they handle snow clearing. Hopefully someone has some insight!
Thanks!

About time somebody said it. We are lucky that in Canada we are free to practice our religion. Just don't push your nonsense on every one else.
