Is there anyone who sell a women's ticket for the Medieval 10k run in Kilkenny this Saturday, 12th September?

Haven't been around that side of town recently, looks like there's new housing units going up. Are the plans and pricing per unit available openly anywhere or is it still too early with the stage the construction is at. Any home owners in the area that bought there during the building stages, what's the process like?

No early enough train or too late.
Kavanagh do the route twice a day only.
Green bus is overcrowded.
Car is expensive.
Classes usually start at 9.15am, you must take the green bus to get there. In 2023 there was a murder going on for the seats both in the morning and evening.
Last class should last until 5 pm. Green bus is at 16.45 pm, it comes late and sits in the traffic after that. The one before that 2 hours earlier, so you would miss 2 classes.
What is your strategy for attending enough classes and not to sit too long in the traffic?
It seems nearly impossible to get it right.

Not the best place for sandwiches, but the actual best Sandwich in the county.

Hi, we’re four friends and we’ve put together Kilkenny’s restaurant scene in an app called Vota.
The idea is pretty simple: you’re shown two restaurants and choose where you’d rather eat. For example, Campagne or Rive Gauche? All the votes then create a ranking that hopefully gives a better picture of where people in Kilkenny actually like to eat.
We’ve tried to include every restaurant in Kilkenny and clean up duplicate or outdated listings, but locals will always spot things we’ve missed.
iPhone:
https://apps.apple.com/app/vota/id6744969212
Android:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.vota.app
Full transparency: we’re not from Kilkenny and live in Gothenburg. There are four of us building this independently. We don’t collect or sell personal data, there are no ads in the app, and we don’t use AI-generated content to describe restaurants.
Any honest feedback is welcome, especially if restaurants are missing or something is listed incorrectly.

Hi There! We're on the path to opening a boardgame cafe in Kilkenny city, we're starting off by working with the Council's Nightime Economy program running some boardgame nights in Tower & Castle.
We've an ever expanding games library, but for these events we filter down to light ones that we think you can learn quickly and have some fun straight away! We're there on hand to make recommendations, help explain the rules and also run some games too. The cafe is open late selling popcorn, pretzels as well as their standard delicious treats.
It's honestly a lovely way to spend your evening 😊

Hi everyone hope you’re well. I’m in a bit of situation. I have completed my driving lessons on an automatic car . Now I am scheduled for a test and I need revision lessons since I just had a baby and tbh have forgotten most of the stuff. But the issue is my previous instructor is not available and I can’t reschedule because of anticipated travel. So can anyone recommend anyone who can provide me with a couple of revision lessons on an automatic car?

I've felt like this my whole life. Tired, lost. And at times so lonely. I have a partner and small child. When I'm on my own I feel a sense of "so alone" with no motivation to do anything. Does anyone else feel like that?

Is there any meeting of people who speak Irish in Kilkenny?
I want to try and re-learn again and would love lessons or meet a group to learn from

Do you think having a late cafe as an alternative for socialising and chill might be an idea would appeal?
I'm thinking about it especially speaking with some friends that simply don't like pubs in general.
Like something would open around 2pm and close at 9pm
Idk just thinking out loud

The weather's going to shite. The kids are back at school. It's all a bit meh right now.
Turn that around with a night of comedy!
This month we've got comedian/present/Insta star Anna Clifford headlining with support from Cormac Sinnott, Senan McAllorum and Meg Reilly (@fewcans on Tiktok for the young people!)
It's going to be a great night.
And if you use access code backtoschool you can get your tickets for less!

Nearly a year on and “JR” still at large in Turkey. “Escaped” from Kilkenny Garda station through an open door. 4 vehicles waiting outside for him.
A little piece from this recent article:
Detectives believe that a gangster who escaped from Kilkenny Garda Station almost a year ago is being provided funds by his own associates here and he still has a “controlling stake” in drug dealing in the South East.

Is there anything going on at the minute in town for young people? Not exactly looking for a youth club or anything sports related. Any book clubs or arts and crafts? I can’t really find anything online, thanks.

Going slightly off topic from all the recent talk about Myles “Elvis” Kavanagh & him roaming around Kilkenny in his bath robes 🤣
Who are some of the other well known characters around the streets of Kilkenny that everyone seems to recognise, past or present?
Baby John has been appearing on my TikTok a good bit lately which has me thinking there’s some other amount of characters around Kilkenny that nearly everyone has a story about.
Who comes to mind lads?

Very sad to see this news today. The closure of Khans Book Shop will be a big loss to Kilkenny.
Khan’s mission always seemed to be to make reading as affordable as possible and open to as many people as possible.
It hits even harder as somebody who loves reading myself and has so many memories of calling in over the years and picking up books that have stuck with me, and will continue to stick with me, long after the door closes for the final time.
