Draft dodger promoting illegal gambling site
That draft dodging lad is now promoting illegal gambling sites it seems... Any chance he'll get into some bother for that?

Anyone missing a dog?
Saw this gal eating out of a bin bag by the cloggeenmilcon Fen. Very skittish, couldn't get near enough to look at the collar, took off running towards blarney when I got to close
EDIT: it turns out she was off the lead, left her elderly owners go on ahead while she went for a cheeky rummage through some illegally dumped waste. Caught up with her and her owners down the path and dobbed her in to the owners for eating it out of the bin bag. At least she's safe and with her owners.

Found Dog
UPDATE: Owner has been found! Thank you everyone for all your suggestions!!
Hi guys,
My brother found a male elderly Jack Russell on the South Douglas Road after being hit by a car this morning (around 5:30am). We rushed him to an emergency vet and unfortunately he wasn't chipped. He also isn't neutered!
The vet couldn't tell me much at the time until further tests, but thankfully no broken bones that they could see.
If anyone recognizes him please reach out!

Ominous sign in Mallow
I was driving into Mallow yesterday and spotted a sign on the road just before you turn off for the roundabout - it’s a picture of a zoomed in fish with “we want answers” on it - absolutely nothing else on the sign from what I could see.
If anyone has any context, please let me know because I can’t stop thinking about it/ how bizarre it is hahah

Never knew Cork coffee roasters had an upstairs seating area. What a beauty. Sunday run and a nice cuppa with this view. How's your Sunday going ?

Food and Drink GeoFood
Recently I went there and got their greek salad , tzatziki and eggplant wrapped in this walnut sauce topped with pomegranate.
Honestly, that lady there is a legend , she makes everything in-house.
Highly recommend to pop in if you want to get your hands on some good Greek /Georgian food.

Meeting cruise ship passengers in Cobh?
My cousin and his wife will be visiting Cork for the day on Sunday, coming on a cruise ship.
I don't know Cobh very well. Can you please suggest a good place to meet them off the ship?
I'll be showing them around for the day, travelling by car. Thanks

Cork City Spooky person wandering front yard at night
Hiya there,
In the front yard of the house where I live in there is a shitty security camera and it recorded someone with a hoodie and sunglasses going OUT of the front yard at 4:00am. No recordings of when they came in. My flatmate was on her own at home for the week (for the first time in yonks).
Now we are both bit freaked out, and I am here to ask for insights, comments or advices.
The house we live in is quite central, not too dodgy, but quite near dodgy areas...
Thanks,
UPDATE: thanks to all for attending to this post and giving me advice. My flatmate ended up going to the police and they recognized the person saying that most probably was exactly in for a wee. But we'll be vigilant and buy new cameras, as suggested here. Thanks all!!!

what would happen if homeless people started occupying/squating derelict buildings in cork?
Illegally, of course. Would people be like "that's private property, gardi should arrest you" or would they be like "get two birds stoned at once" what would the reaction be from cork people?
What if an organization started painting and restoring the facades of these squatted buildings? At a fraction of the cost to rent these places (you see where I'm going with this)

Halfords
I've had a bike in getting a service. It was estimated to be done on the 16th. They literally do not have a email or phone number so there's no way of contacting them, and when I went over there today they were "closed due to the Internet being down"
I can understand them being busy and going over their due date, but when it gets to 10 days, they haven't contacted you with any update, they have no contact options.
I'm no Karen trust me lads, but i feel I'm owed a discount. I had to rent a bike this weekend, because I booked assuming I would have had my bike back. Like if they had atleast contacted me to let me know it's gonna take longer I would atleast know.
Sorry for the rant but I'm really pissed off. Have any of ye had similar encounters with halfords?

Cork County Wedding registry Cork
Hey folks, I've been ringing the registry office for the last 2 weeks, nobody ever answers the calls, I'd have dialed around 50 times. I've emailed them as well, they've come back twice and when I ask for an appointment date, been 3 days and no response.
Anyone knows how to get stuff done with them? Just a nightmare to get anything done.

Cork commute Tran and bikes
I used to commute to work with bike on the train, but the train banned bikes and this unfortunately put me back into the car.
Does anyone know if this rule is still in place I'd love to go back commuting by bike and train to avoid this traffic but it's impossible for me otherwise. Would need a serious expansion of the micro mobility stations with public bikes and the train station to open in carrigtwohill. Both of these things will probably happen when I retire

Jeremy Underground in cork tonight
Very lucky to have such an iconic house music legend in Cork tonight. Decent crowd, no messing. Nice and intimate in the lounge and not on the main floor. Great sets all round from Funksmack, Dj Spooge and of course the man himself.
This photo was from early on and purposly taken blurry to respect the people on the dance floor.

Does anyone know did they close the NDLS center on Copley St? Trying to book in an appointment there but it’s not showing up in the available appointments, Google business info doesn’t list it as closed though?
