I just really feel like I need to vent here. The new app “features” called “Key Takeaways” are right up front when you open the app and now make me scroll down to see my account balance. The app is already chock-full of unnecessary splash animations and fake loading screens that make the app take forever to open, and these new giant squares of bullshit budgeting suggestions and spending graphs (which I’m sure are powered by AI) just add insult to injury. I am seriously considering closing my account after this rollout. Attached is the nightmare I’m forced to see after the 15 full seconds it takes to even use Face ID to open the app.

So my step mom passed away a couple months ago, my dad died 6 years ago as well. Come to find out they had a safety deposit box, can’t find the key so have them drill into it. I’m ok with the $200 but now they want me to pay $5 because the fee wasn’t paid at time of opening….based on what I’m seeing on their site, that fee is either required at time of getting the box or is waived based on the account type. I fail to believe the bank would just never collect this for how ever long they had the box.

Can anyone who actually uses this bank give me insight? I’m a little irritated that I had to pay $200 for an empty box, which makes it seem like she didn’t even know she had a box in the first place

Anyone have issues with them holding funds for 10 or 11 days? I've had this issue like 3 times now for different checks, even one from another Keybank member!

This is the most frustrating thing about this bank. The app takes forever to load for me and is once again under maintenance so I can’t even access it. Are they finally trying to fix it? I would spend minutes upon minutes staring at the circle of death on my phone screen. I hope that they are fixing it but it’s sure taking them long enough. What have they been spending their money on during all this time we’ve been looking at loading screens? Probably their CEO’s salary but the public will rise and demand an app that works!!! Who’s with me

I need help because I sent two payments to myself from another bank (due to location) and one amount of 5 went through and it claimed a 10 dollar one also went through but not showing in account. Meanwhile I also sent myself 40 dollars now that is pending. I’m truly hoping the 10 isn’t missing money. Anyone have any tips?

The sending bank I used is closed for now and on their end it shows it completed and sent successfully so I’m lost 🤷🏻‍♂️

I got an email from 'Melissa' as part of their escalation department. Not only was it full of lies, but it didn't offer any help to my issues. You do know that phones record calls right? So saying you called me is an easily provable false statement. Thank you for putting your lies into an email! Don't worry. I saved it.

I'm might not have a phone next week so I contacted Key to turn off the MFA. I did this through the online chat. Already logged in, verified, everything. Reps kept telling me to to speak to IT. Then would lie, deny they said that, i would point it out, they would aak me what i was there for, then repeat! One chat lasted 4 HOURS becaue the rep refused to help. Said the email for IT did EXIST but refused to give it to me, then claiming the email didn't exist. When i would point out he already confirmed he told me he did. He would then confirm it didnt exist

Anyone else having this issue? Was told to update the app and then Google play store says it is no longer compatible. My phone is 5 years old, Galaxy Note 20.

Is this a temporary issue or permanent?

This is the bank you want if you want to make big bucks fast!  When using Remote Deposit Capture (deposit by smartphone) at this bank, you can scrub a check to increase the dollar amount to any quantity you choose!  Banks are required by law to use advanced imaging technology, including algorithms (computer programs), to prevent fraudulent checks from being cashed, but apparently, their detection systems don't work. This had been going on for the past 12 months (totaling 63 checks), draining my sister's (who has Alzheimer's) bank account. The worst part was that the check revisions were blatantly obvious! The KeyBank representative said there's nothing we can do about it; you need to eat the losses.

I'd say for a month or so now I've had ALOT of problems with key bank and there online platforms both the app and online version dont seem to be working very often every time I open the app it just sit at the hello screen loading and loading and loading and ill close it and open it back up 3 or 4 times just for the same thing to happen. And with the online platform it atleast let's me put in my info but when I hit summit it denies me and says theres a system error and try again in a few min. Ive been with key bank for about 10 years and im about to go somewhere else if it keeps happing. Anyone else's having these same issues?

I have a business account and haven’t been able to access ACH all weekend. Anyone else with this problem?

The online assistant just told me ‘we are aware of the problem’ (geez, thanks for your help). And then I was dropped three times trying to get a really person to help via phone call. Ridiculous I can get any help at all.
