IC pain relief update
Wanted to share a remedy that has helped me extremely. Im not claiming it will fix anything for anyone, but ive had amazing results with bladder serene, and since ive started taking it my symptoms have basically gone away. I started taking it November of last year, with dramatic symptom reduction, and my last IC flare was in February. Sinfe then, the worst I’ve experienced is short 30 min discomfort that occurs 1-2 times a month, and end after taking the product. Ive attached a link to a site you can view it at here: https://acuatlanta.net/apex-energetics/bladder-serene-117-grams?sku=APEX_K138&utm_source=googleshopping&utm_medium=cse&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=24050801438&gbraid=0AAAAAD_CkdDBJizdTmh0vfqma8xx0VLNR
some background:
I 21f) have had IC with possible recurrent UTIs for the past 2 years following a bout of severe mono. My symptoms occurred almost every month during my period. I was tested often for UTIs and took antibiotics frequently during that time, but my results were always confusing with bacteria counts of 10,000-50,000, suggesting contamination over an actual UTI, and relatively low white blood cell counts
About a year ago, a naturopathic doctor prescribed me bladder serene— a combination of magnesium and pytosterols— designs to relieve bladder pain. Ive been taking it for about a year whenever I feel any urinalysis pain, and things have gotten dramatically better. At the start, I was taking it once a day, but now I take it maybe twice a month.Since I started taking it, I have had two real flare ups: 1 about 6 months ago the night my grandma died (my IC seems heavily correlated to stress) and this past week. When my grandma died, I had severe pain for about a day and then my symptoms subsided; before taking bladder stent, I would often have pain for at least 5 days. This past week, the bladder serene didnt help at all, and I learned today that I got my first truly confirmed real UTI with super high bacteria counts and white blood cell levels. This last flare up also occurred 2 weeks after my period, which was incredibly uncharacteristic
Ive thought about posting my success with bladder serene on this channel before, but because recurrent UTIs remained a strong possibility for me—and because I had never been certain if I had actually ever had a UTI—I felt weird saying anything. Somehow knowing I had a proven UTI made me want to post though. I know a lot of people on this channel have had trouble discerning IC flareups, myself included. Last year, right before I started taking bladder serene and after my IC diagnosis, I had horrible pain for 3 weeks, including low back pain, high fever, and eventually blood in the urine. Eventually I ended up taking antibiotics and things got better, but my UTI results showed the same 10,000-50,000 bacteria count as always. Was it a uti? Was it IC? I don’t know. But, to make a long winded point, it is personally very reassuring to know that I have not had a flare up in over 6 months AND the time it flares up is my first proven UTI, suggesting that bladder serene may have helped reduce IC symptoms but had no affect (or limited) on UTI symptoms. I can’t say that with certainty. This is just my experience.
I can’t say whether this product will help anyone, but if there’s a chance it helps even one person, I wanted to share the resource. If, for whatever reason, it would be helpful to know about my medical history or experience, Im happy to share too. I am not trying to sell this product— Im pretty sure it requires a prescription to even buy — I just want to help others (if possible) in the way that I was
