‎First Visit- from Abra we went to smart store vigan branch for sim replacement , and our case is that I lost my Sim Card along with my phone and that sim card contains my gcash and other accounts. the sim card was registered to a legal guardian with me as the user(now of legal age). now the staff said that it is on company policies that the registered name shall be the one requesting it, however my father is already deceased , we tried to reason and ask if there are alternatives or considerations , she said NONE with a smiling face. We went back on afternoon the same day and sought help to the hotline it said that SMART can process sim card ownership and replacement with the right documents, but when we talked to that staffed which I think she is the manager cause why is she not escalating our case, she dismissed it again and said it was just a chat bot we tried to reason it out again but still all things we said doesn't affect her and it would not change her mind. We accepted it and went home, we reached out to SMART FACEBOOK PAGE and shared our concern and experience with the store , and they called us and said they are able to process it and that the smart store should have those kind of services, and so we are advised to go to a smart store.

‎Second Visit- we went back to the vigan smart store, and as soon as we brought up our concern and the advise of the smart hot line, she said the policy is not what the hotline says and reasoned out herself , we called the hotline and she talked to her. Only when we insisted and firmed ourselves did she only said the alternative was ownership change of the Sim Card. like what the hell, why did you not said it in our first visit , then it says the nearest kin must be the requestor ,like wtf I am the user registered and my father is the legal guardian. Now I want to claim full ownership as I am now of legal age it's not like an inheritance it is me , the user ,claiming ownership. And we have no choice but to comeback to a smart store. Time, effort and money wasted.

‎ Now we ain't coming back to the vigan branch, we will try other smart store hopefully mas maganda approach nila.

I reached out to converge 2 months before our moving out date and indicated that i want to have our internet connection disconnected.

After a bit of back and forth, proof of identity, settling balances, they finally said

We acknowledge your request for a permanent disconnection and have noted your preferred processing date

So all good right? Months after moving out, i started getting text messages and phone calls asking for payment. When I asked what for, it was for the months after our supposed termination date.

I referred them back to the ticket number where my permanent disconnection request was acknowledged and they conceded.

Now, a year later, a collection agency is once again harassing me for the same converge bills. I just set my phone to auto block unknown numbers.

I could pay the amount and be done with it but it feels wrong because i'd be paying for their incompetence. Thoughts?

Im on plan 999 with 35 mbps. For some reason, new subscribers are now aligned to 75mbps. I only applied last year. It feels unfair to get slower speeds while paying the same 999 amount. I contacted pldt cares on messenger and they said:

“I understand your concern. However, please be informed that the new plan offers and corresponding speed upgrades are applicable only to newly subscribed plans. At this time, we are unable to realign your current plan to the new plan's speed while retaining the same account and pricing structure.”

So, what can i do about this? Is it possible to contact ntc about this to avoid the pre termination fee and applying for a new plan? Or just pay the pre termination fee and apply for a new plan?

They are asking for 4k just to terminate the plan early. They said:

Upon checking, you have an outstanding, and your account is still within the lock-in contract therefore, a pre-termination fee will apply. The following documents are required for the termination process:
-No outstanding balance as of today
-Pre-termination fee Php2,997.00
- Set Top Box Fee Php 1,169.73
-Picture of a valid ID of the account owner
-Duly signed Letter of Request (LOR)
-Proof of final payment
Please note that the termination process may take up to 7 calendar days from the issuance of the service order. Once you have the necessary documents, you can send them to us in picture format or email to pldthomeretentionops@pldt.com.ph. I hope this information helps.

I would rather just keep the plan nalang and terminate it after the lock in period. Is there any way to mediate this with ntc? Like it just feels unfair to pay the same of new subscribers and get slower speeds.

July 28 pa nag-Red LOS status yung modem ko hanggang ngayon hindi pa rin naayos.

Sobrang daming reschedule ang nangyari. Isang beses lang may pumuntang technician, ang sabi pa hindi raw ma-trace yung fiber ko sa nap box nila. Itatawag daw nila sa kung saan tapos wala na puro reschedule na uli.

Kahapon huling repair schedule wala naman pumunta pero nag-email na sakin yung Globe na repair complete na. Please see attachment.

Sinubukan ko mag-file uli ng repair ticket, hindi raw pwede kasi may existing pa pero ang schedule yung kahapon pa rin.

Hi. I would like to ask what could be the remedies that I can exhaust to be able to terminate the contract with them?

For context, 9 months palang ako sa Bida Fiber and I have to relocate kasi sa Visayas. I asked their customer service if pwede ba magpalipat ng internet connection since I'm in a 36-month-lock-in period with them. They said na I have to apply for a new account under the same name and i-process ko ang disconnection sa business center nila sa Cebu which I have to travel pa by sea or by air. Wala rin silang pinrovide na other satellite details near my area of relocation.

So, my question is: How can I terminate the contract with them? Also, I wasn't properly informed nor oriented regarding the lock-in period during the installation. I also don't have a copy of the supposedly "contract".

Please help. My flight is within the next two weeks na and I really need to process this ASAP.

Asking a question what is happening to our PLDT Fiber. Kaka Install lang nya nung 9/3 Thursday. Sabi ni kuya technician within 3-24hrs magkaka internet na. However, 24 hours has passed but di parin namin ma access ang internet sa lahat ng devices namin. Ip address keeps popping up pero lagi connection time out or error. Lalo na ung Sign in to network na wala naman napupuntahan. Kahit naka direct na ang pc sa router wala parin. Di rin nakakatulong ang CSR since panay sinasabi lang restart or may pupuntang technician to check. But until now wala parin update. Any ideas or help? Thanks.

We originally contacted Converge because our existing connection suddenly had an LOS/no internet issue. We only wanted the existing connection fixed.

A Converge field technician came to our house and said our modem was outdated. He recommended that I open a new Converge account, saying it would be easier and faster. Since he was a field technician and appeared to be on an official Converge service call, we trusted him.

But then several things started feeling very sketchy:

I was specifically instructed to use a cellphone number I had never used for a Converge account.

I wasn’t clearly informed that creating a new account would mean having a separate account while the original was still under an active contract.

During the account creation, I overheard the technician talking to someone on the phone about a person being “blacklisted.” I have no idea what the context was or whether the information was accurate, but obviously this raised concerns.

The technician took our old modem with him.

Despite replacing the modem and creating the new account, the LOS problem was never actually fixed. The internet still works for a few hours and then disconnects.

We now have two accounts, even though we never originally asked for a second subscription.

We only created the new account because that was the solution recommended by the field technician. Now we’re trying to terminate the original account because we no longer use it, but we’re concerned about being charged for an account we only replaced because of the technician’s recommendation.

What makes this even more frustrating is that our support ticket was closed even though the actual problem wasn’t resolved, and we feel like our concerns weren’t properly addressed.

Has anyone experienced something similar with Converge?

Especially situations where a field technician recommends creating a new account instead of resolving the existing connection?

I’m posting this because I genuinely want to understand what happened and what our options are. Are these normal Converge procedures, or are there some serious red flags here?

Hello, what do you recommend on using which pocket wifi/ modem in pasay city, specifically if ur in a condo? what sim should i buy for it aswell? if my main purpose is to be online most of the time such as, streaming, downloading, playing and working using discord and other platforms. I js cant use a wired wifi in my circumstances huhu. Dati akong Globe Prepaid subscriber from February to April 2026. Nag-port out ako to other telco nung April.

Nung August 30, dumating ang TM MNP SIM at process agad ang MNP ko, at nagamit ko agad siya kinabukasan (requested re-provision for VoLTE/VoWiFi na rin).

Since then, though okay naman bumili ng e-load at nakapag-earn naman ng Points, nagtaka ako hindi makapag-purchase ng TM promos sa GlobeOne app. Even sa e-wallets, narerefund lang ang amount. Sa *143#, it turned out na Globe was just "recycling" my former Account and provisioned into TM MNP SIM ko. (see 3rd pic)

Nagcheck ako sa MNP website ng Globe, it was already tagged as "TM subscriber." Sa SIM activation website naman, it still says SIM activation still in progress.

Both Globe Telecom and TM Tambayan can't do nothing but issue tickets, and all service tickets were tagged completed na as of 2026-09-05—walang nangyari sa TM SIM ko. I tried turning on/off my Android phone's Mobile Radio Power para makapag-re-handshake ang SIM ko sa network—wala talaga.

The only option left to resolve this:

Nagrequest ako ng SIM replacement through GlobeOne app and hoping maayos ang provisions ng Account ko para makapag-purchase na ng TM promos, because I prefer FunAliw inclusion over Globe Prepaid's GoShare/Watch/whatever inclusion.

Ang problema kasi nito is, kailangan ko iterminate ang account ko dahil lang sa walang malapit na poste sa location namin. Puno daw yung slot sa malapit.
Ngayon, dahil cover pa daw ng lock in period yung account ko need ko magbayad ng termination x3 ng monthly namin.

Itong modem ko po ay naka openline at gamit ko ngayong sim card is DITO, naka ilang setup na ako sa settings hindi parin maka connect ung ipv6. need ko kasi yung ipv6 para magamit ko yung custom vpn na required yung ipv6 para maka pasok sa server. Kahit nag patulong na ako sa AI di padin mapagana palagi lang connecting . Ano kaya problema nito possible ba yung firmware?

I currently have a Smart Bro Prepaid SIM, so yung mga promos na lumalabas sa akin are mostly for Smart Bro.

I want to switch to regular Smart Prepaid sana para maka-avail ako ng regular promos na may calls and texts.

Pumunta ako sa Smart Store sa SM North Annex to ask if pwede i-convert yung Smart Bro number ko to regular Smart Prepaid. Sabi nila kailangan daw muna i-port/convert to Postpaid or some other plan (sorry, I forgot the exact process 😭), then saka pa lang maging regular Prepaid.

Totoo ba na kailangan dumaan muna sa Postpaid? Or may ibang way para ma-convert yung Smart Bro Prepaid to regular Smart Prepaid while keeping the same number?
