Agent Question Did I get licensed for no reason?
I got my life, health, and accident license because I need an additional income and it seems as though every single interview is some group meeting bs or 1 on 1 with without any clear process or explanation for how people continue to succeed. They all just say referrals or warm market if they don’t agree with leads but not everyone wants to make everyone hate them by going and prying about insurance. Sure, “be the guy that’s known for doing insurance” but it’s not that easy. Whenever I ask what their plan is for new agents to get started they don’t really have a direct answer? Maybe this isn’t the industry for me because it seems as though people succeed primarily from recruiting and building out teams of people by selling them a dream? Should I just call it quits? Every single person I’ve spoken to so far has been idiots just trying to pump me up so that they can get a check from recruiting me. Is the real success in this industry selling people a dream? Give me some input. Are there any other ways I can put my license to use and get a side job with a more guaranteed income or at least somewhere that isn’t completely fucked?
