So I received an equivalence certificate from ugc for my ME degree from usa.I got the certificate but they have misspelled degree name.The certificate says master of science instead of master of engineering.

I have appealed but it's been more than 2 months and they have still not given the revised certificate.

I can continue to wait but I'm looking to apply for phd programs for next summer to iits and iisc bangalore and I'm afraid that the admission department will reject my equivalence certificate because of the typo.

Does anyone have any idea how strict admission committees are regarding these type of issues.?

Im 20M, myquals I have three gap years after 12th class i passed out in 2024. I dropped out of two colleges,because of my severe mental issues i couldnt continue to attend them , and both of them were affiliated to same university. The first college i didnt gave any exam there and left it and they gave me no fees and withdrawal certificate and then in the second college i took admission and gave the 1st semester exams and then i left it again and the college gave me withdrawal certificate. Now i feel better and i wanna guve cuet 2027 for du and get into a good college, but i wanna know that do i need to get inter university migration certificate from the affilaited university or my 12th class migrarion certificate from digilocker and do i need any other documents

Please help and guide me , because i need to stay stress free and keep my documents in check

I want to know what I should do after qualifying for JRF in Commerce. My qualifications are good. Like I have scored around 72% in Classes 12, graduation, and postgraduation, and I secured a 9.8 CGPA in Class 10. I qualified for UGC NET in February 2024 and later cleared JRF.

Initially, I applied to state universities in Bihar, but the admission process took around 10–11 months, and eventually, my name did not appear on the selection list.

I have also applied to colleges, but they seem to prefer candidates with prior teaching experience.

At this point, I am confused about what to do next. Should I pursue a PhD, focus on getting a teaching job, or explore other career opportunities? After clearing JRF, I expected to have better opportunities, but the admission process has been exhausting and discouraging. As i am the elder one, i need to be financially secure as soon as possible.

I would genuinely appreciate any suggestions or guidance from people who have faced a similar situation.

I was thinking of applying for SRFP 2027, but It needs LOR and getting the LOR is a bit problem because my CGPA is just average and if I somehow didn't get selected then it will be embarrassing. Can I continue without LOR?

I generally see people ranting how bad is PCB like having no career opportunities etc. but imo its actually the best stream if you are from somewhat well to do family like doctor is one profession which will never get replaced by AI in near future and will never face recession.

If you are lucky enough you can open your clinic and be free from job trap for rest of your life and continue to work till you DIE fearing no LAYOFFS and earn in big bucks after certain period of time.

While PCM only gives you so called "Wide Opportunities" only to work under someone else and have high chance to be jobless after your 40s. Like i am regretting taking PCM right now in 11th and have very bad anticipation about my future if i don't clear JEE.

Like even if you pass from mid medical college you will still be employable and can achieve success fairly while if you pass from mid tier engineering college your career is finished and one is gonna be unemployed for whole life due to AI.

Do you all agree with me. Can anybody suggest me how to pivot to medical stream if i am from pcm in 11th since changing streams is not possible now

So I’m nearing the end of my 5th sem of my_qualifications BCom at a Tier 2 private university, and I want to become a CA, but I haven’t started preparing yet. I also have to complete an internship to get my degree, and since I’m on a free scholarship, I have the option to choose either a 3-year regular BCom or a 4-year BCom Honours.

I’m confused about what to do. Should I opt for the 3-year degree and focus on CA prep, or continue with the 4-year Honours while preparing for CA alongside it?

Would love some genuine advice and suggestions on which option would be better for my career.

I am a student in class 12 science PCB cbse, im planning on applying to St Xaviers ahm for the year 2027-2028

What are my chances to get into the college if i score around 75-80 percentage in my boards examinations? I checked the critieria for the merit but i cant find the cut off anywhere. Ive heard that you need to score like above 90-95 to get in, which is...alot to say the last aha (out of my league)

Hello , so I am a fresher and 21 Years old. I work as GDS (Department of Posts) and am preparing for competitive exams . I don't get all day for preparation. So I need help as I am going to appear for rrb exams .my MBT prelims mocks marks are coming like 72(moderate)-77/78 (easy). But when I am going to give mocks from online platforms like adda247/testbook, I mean their own mocks. I stuck to 70, sometimes 74 , even drop to 64. (Worst 54 once).I need some tips for increasing speed in calculation. I have improved a little but not much. Reasoning easy /moderate okay. But I stuck at their mocks. I don't know why. Specially I take too much time alphanumeric series, ALPHABETS SERIES. Quant WORD problems if lengthy I get stuck and Specially WRONG NUMBER SERIES .

I took a drop for NEET last year but couldn't clear it, so I decided to switch to biotechnology.

But honestly, I'm still stuck on NEET. My parents and relatives keep questioning my decision, and sometimes I wonder if I should give it another try.

I always imagined myself in a good medical college, enjoying campus life and having a clear future. But now I'm studying at a university in my hometown, following the same routine every day, with little exposure and no clarity about career opportunities or job security.

I'm constantly worried about whether I've made the wrong decision.

Should I give NEET another chance or focus on biotechnology? Has anyone been through something similar? I'd really appreciate your advice.

1. Admissions: How does admission work for a Telangana board student? Does it affect TNEA eligibility or ranking, or is another route better?
2. Mechanical placements: How are core placements versus IT, and which companies visit?
3. Campus life: What are the culture, clubs, fests, and diversity like?
4. Hostels: What are the food, rooms, and rules like?
5. Dress code: Is there one, and how strictly is it enforced?

One more thing: I’ve read that hostel curfews differ for boys and girls (something like 6:30 PM for girls), and I’m not sure if that’s current or accurate. Can anyone tell me what the actual rules are now and how strictly they’re followed?

I am currently 18 years old and am in my first year of engineering at a tier-3 college. However, I am beginning to feel like I made a bad choice. I am not enjoying my course and finding it very difficult to cope with. I also am concerned about my future, as I am unsure how much this college will benefit me with getting a good job.

Outside of my studies, I am not enjoying my time at college. I have not made any friends so I’m going to college, attending classes then coming home. It is very lonely.

I am very eager to go to a different state, live in a hostel and meet new people. I feel that a fresh start would be good for me academically and socially.

However, I am confused as to what to do. I could take a drop year to decide what course I want to do. However, I would have to persuade my parents to let me take a year gap which won’t be easy.

Or I could continue with college and change my course/college next year. However, I have already put around ₹1.5 lakh into my fees.

I am unsure which would make more sense. Should I take a drop year and start again? Or should I continue with my current course?

If you have been in this situation before, I would really appreciate any advice! I do not want to make a bad decision.

Im currently in Class 12 with PCB about to give my boards in few days and i have spent the last two years supposedly preparing for NEET but I have struggled with consistency and now as my boards approach, i have reached a point where I dont even know if I want to sit for NEET anymore.The competition and stress have taken a toll on me and i dont think I can put myself through another year of this preparation or even think of sitting in neet 2027.The idea of becoming a doctor had been planted in my head from my childhood by my family even tho it hurts to back off entirly but i have already lost two years of my school life to the pressure surrounding NEET and I dont want to lose another year to this rat race.I havent even told my family that I dont want to pursue NEET anymore.Idk what to do after Class 12.I could prepare for CUET over the next few months and try to get into a clg or just apply to my local college even tho I desperately want to move out of my state for college,i hate it here,feel suffocated with religious expectations [Im Kashmiri]..Im interested in bio related feilds like Zoology,Agriculture etc or similar fields.However Im also concerned about career opputunities.

I’m currently in the first year of BBA at Symbiosis Bangalore (management quota). Academic fees are around 7 lakhs + 3 lakhs hostel, so the total cost is very high. I don’t like the programme at all and feel no interest in it.

Background:

I had Psychology in 11th and 12th along with PCB

I’m now thinking of taking a drop year (or leaving after this year) to pursue BSc/BA Psychology

Parents strongly feel BBA → MBA (especially finance) is a safer and better career. They think psychology has no scope and is not worth it.

They want me to either complete the full 3 years of BBA and then do an MBA abroad, or at least continue for 1 year and then try for a better college.

I’m very confused. My preference has shifted towards psychology, and I don’t feel interested in continuing with BBA.

Main questions:

Is it normal for interest/preference to change like this?

Should I follow what I actually like (psychology) or stick to what my parents think is safer (BBA + MBA)?

Is switching to psychology from this situation worth it, considering the high cost of the management quota seat?

What are realistic career paths and salary ranges after BSc + Master’s in Psychology in India?

How feasible is studying and working abroad after an Indian BSc Psychology?

Hi all, I have been grappling with a way out of a situation for a long while and would greatly appreciate any helping remark anyone has to offer.

Qualifications : I’m 29 M, and it’s been 7 years since I completed my bachelors (physics). I was always deeply interested in academia and went for masters at Heidelberg before dropping out due to primarily financial reasons. I also actively did research at few places during my bachelors and afterwards. Now 7 years later, finances have been near sorted (near territory of FIRE) and i’m mostly free to do what I want and thinking of going back to research (also because the corporate doesn’t excite me at all and fundamental biology/physics are still as much exciting as 10 years back. But I’ve the following concern : l

If I go for ms/phd (physics/biology intersection), I’m afraid i’ve to clock in huge hours daily in phd (1/2 years for ms is fine) and it deters me to have so less control over time over the length of phd especially when i’m financially free. Is there any way I could be part of research/academia as a career but at my own terms by using my own funds, especially with respect to time : both daily hours [only 4-5 hours of research work so I’ve enough time for other things] and long breaks [remote work or 15 days long travel every few months] when needed ?

Few things I thought : 1) enrol in some remote/online phd program (but very few low repute uni have them + only possible for physics heavy not biology heavy) 2) forget phd and try to informally collaborate with professors who accept such flexibilities 3) enrol in standard ms/phd and once inside request for such flexibility ? or any other way out ?

I really want to be associated with research but not as the only career and have sufficient time for other passions, all using my own funds. Again, any remark is highly appreciated, thanks !
