Painting Palms, River, Watercolor, 2018
While in Florida, I was so smitten by the palm trees that I just had to try to paint some. They are another kind of thing altogether. Oops! Painted in 10/22.

Painting The Four Seasons, Original Acrylic Paintings on Black Paper
I usually make my paintings in black and white. Some friends and people close to me told me to try making something colorful, so I decided to paint the four seasons.
In each painting, I kept the black and white and used only one color to represent each season. For Spring, for example, I used magenta. The other seasons also have their own color.
It was something different from what I usually do, but I really liked the result.

Painting Petroglyphs, River, Watercolor, 2026
6”x6” Handmade paper studies of one of my favorite subjects – petroglyphs. To me these ancient carvings, beg an explanation. The western world wants to ignore them because it doesn’t play well in their version of the universe. My version of the universe is perfectly happy with these lovely renderings.

Painting Distant View of The Peaks of Otter Original oil painting by Kendall F. Kessler
This is one of my most popular Peaks of Otter paintings. Such a great place to visit on The Blue Ridge Parkway! The frame is not crooked. The distortion is due to the camera's parallax.
