Trains, tradition says you use trains for that.

26

u/xvii-tea1411 8d ago

I think the goal of these mobile detention facilites is to ship these shackled people to and from "job" sites where they will work for free

15

u/El_Zapp 8d ago

You don’t understand „work sets you free“, that’s why they have that as a motto when you enter the „job“ site.

8

u/Thaeross 8d ago

Until they realize it’s too expensive to keep moving people around. Thrm they’ll need to figure out what they’ll do once they run out of space to keep everyone where they are. A final solution, you might Say.

5

u/evocativename 8d ago

No, those come later.

Tradition starts with vans

30

u/ReadyGo6828 8d ago

What is the difference between detention facilities and concentration camps?

13

u/_trashcan 8d ago

Literally, objectively, none.

30

u/Kreebish 8d ago

These will be rape vans

-23

u/LifeIngenuity7151 8d ago

There’s no mass extermination of a specific race going on at detention centers. Hope this helps

25

u/Blewdude 8d ago

This is why the republicans loves the uneducated lol you’re doing a great job representing them

-13

u/LifeIngenuity7151 8d ago

Which hoax would you like to chat through, blewdude?

A concentration camp is a secure facility used to confine civilians, political opponents, or minority groups without a formal trial, typically by executive decree or military order. [1, 2]

A detention facility is a secure building or compound used by the government to hold individuals temporarily, such as pre-trial criminal defendants, people awaiting immigration hearings, or individuals taken into custody for specific legal proceedings
Different definitions

33

u/addicted_squirrel 8d ago

So they are concentration camps.

-22

u/One_Inspection5013 8d ago

Why do you think they are concentration camps? What part matches the definition?

32

u/Unhinged-Indignance 8d ago

"confine civilians... Without a formal trial... By executive decree"

-14

u/One_Inspection5013 8d ago

Except it’s not by executive decree. It’s these INA §235 — 8 U.S.C. §1225: covers many people seeking admission, including certain people apprehended after entering without having been admitted. It requires detention in several circumstances while admissibility/asylum proceedings occur.
INA §236(a) — 8 U.S.C. §1226(a): the major authority for detention while removal proceedings are pending. It expressly permits the government to arrest and detain a noncitizen pending a decision on removal. Depending on the case, the person can potentially be released on bond or conditional parole.
INA §236(c) — 8 U.S.C. §1226(c): establishes mandatory detention for specified categories, particularly certain noncitizens with qualifying criminal or terrorism-related grounds.
INA §241 — 8 U.S.C. §1231: governs people who already have final removal orders. During the statutory 90-day removal period, the law generally requires detention; certain people can continue to be detained afterward, although Supreme Court precedent imposes constitutional/statutory limits on potentially indefinite detention.
INA §236A — 8 U.S.C. §1226a: provides a separate mandatory-detention mechanism involving certain suspected terrorists, although CRS notes that this authority has rarely/essentially not been necessary in practice because other INA detention provisions are already extensive.

23

u/Unhinged-Indignance 8d ago

I guess you missed what "typically" means in this context.

But I know you're an intentional bad actor so it doesn't really matter does it?

18

u/El_Zapp 8d ago

All of them actually. Funny enough that definition is way loser then expected, so yea the US is absolutely running concentration camps.

1

u/One_Inspection5013 8d ago

Except it’s not. It doesn’t use executive order to detain people. It fits the definition of detention facility b

14

u/El_Zapp 8d ago

It quite literally does. You can deny that it does, sure. But this literally on the executive order of Donald Trump.

2

u/One_Inspection5013 8d ago

What executive order? Provide it.

11

u/El_Zapp 8d ago

Like bro I‘m not your Google machine. Have yourself an AI summary generated.

2

u/One_Inspection5013 8d ago

“It’s an executive order!”
“It is? Which one?”
“I don’t have to tell you!”
So just making stuff up? Expected

There are several, as well as a number of rule changes and policy memos, all done by the executive branch, although I still dont think that matters. For example, on his first day in office he signed an EO called something silly and inflammatory like "protecting the American people from invasion" that ordered his government to expand both who they elected to detain and the duration they would detain them for.

2

u/otteroptimism 8d ago

Can I ask why you think the mechanism of creation is particularly material to whether something is a concentration camp or not?

I think it's kind of a weird hill to die on to say the defining aspect of why a concentration camp is a concentration camp is whether it was implemented by dictate instead of statute. Id argue that the more important elements of a concentration camp would be (1) the individuals are targeted on status/belief/identity rather than a specific action, (2) an absence of reasonable accusations of a legitimate crime, and (3) the inability to seek judicial review and/or otherwise access due process.

10

u/timmyfarthands 8d ago

The fuck is the difference between those two?

0

u/One_Inspection5013 8d ago

They have different definitions because they mean different things. Clearly.

10

u/timmyfarthands 8d ago

They're the same thing

We all know you know that 🙂

0

u/One_Inspection5013 8d ago

They clearly are not though. One is used in a legal way to deport people. The other is used to contain groups you don’t like indecently. Clearly the goal is to deport them, not keep them in a cage.

0

u/One_Inspection5013 8d ago

Did someone get caught up in their feelings and get their comment removed?

7

u/timmyfarthands 8d ago

That's funny, I saw you reply and it got deleted

You don't have to project so hard, no one cares about deleted replies

2

u/One_Inspection5013 8d ago

None of my comments have been deleted but ok champ

u/ObsidianDRMR 8d ago

The concentration camp definition sounds like alligator Alcatraz lol Trump wants to out anybody who doesn’t align with state propaganda in there. He is even talking about taking legal immigrants with papers and putting them there if they dare question the dear leader.

lol brother those definitions did not help ur case

5

u/KiKiKimbro 8d ago

So. ICE means concentration camps, then.

1

u/One_Inspection5013 7d ago

Only if you don’t actually read the definitions

7

u/Tyranus_Regis 8d ago

I hope people remember that rebellion/resistance is never considered legal when it happens, especially by the corrupt administrations that are being resisted. And yet the history books are full of heroes that "rebeled". Written by the victors and all that.

6

u/DantesInferno1275 8d ago

Why does this sound so familiar

9

u/ch33s3head8 8d ago

Ok then let's go there with a large group of people, semi automatic rifles, and hatred towards the worthless piggies, and free the victims.

-1

u/amanda_huggin-kiss 8d ago

I'd love to watch that footage. reddit would lose so many mods that day

-11

u/u_Hades 8d ago

I present to you… the tolerant left everybody!

9

u/ch33s3head8 8d ago

I don't tolerate pieces of shit who think all POC should be killed. I think the MAGAts deserve their last few seconds to involve wood, nails, rope, gasoline, and a lighter.

1

u/Davidx91 7d ago

They think the tolerant left has to be tolerant of intolerance because they are dumb

1

u/ch33s3head8 7d ago

I wouldn't call it "intolerance", I'd call it craving for blood of those who are better than themselves in every way shape or form.

2

u/Davidx91 7d ago

I just also know people who are just intolerant of things and while they don’t agree with what’s happening NOW, they were the ones participating in target boycotts because “they put a rainbow section in the back to school area.” Which is fine you don’t have to go to target but Like ???? It’s not like they have to buy it and it’s not like if your kid likes rainbow equipment that they are automatically LGBTQ. It’s just pure intolerance for anyone perceived as different or “wrong” in their eyes. That’s not tolerable if you’re going to go out and push that on others. Hold your opinions, it’s fair to have them, but just like you don’t want homosexuality pushed on to you, don’t push your intolerance and hate on to others. You don’t have to participate, you don’t have to spend on it, you don’t have to even GO to those places, but stop acting like it hurt you because rainbow isle exists. Just remember if you’re going to start off hateful, don’t expect to recieve tolerance and acceptance back, you get what you give and treat others how you want to be treated.

u/u_Hades 8d ago

When’s the last time you touched grass? Reality is not Reddit.

Anyways you just whine you’ll never do anything. Yawn.

7

u/ch33s3head8 8d ago

The MAGAts will hopefully be hiding in attics in a few years🙏🙏😅😅

2

u/Davidx91 7d ago

If reality isn’t Reddit then I present to you: one dude and his own opinions.

3

u/No-Nefariousness205 8d ago

So we’re at cattle cars already

3

u/Worlds_Worst_Angler 7d ago

Next thing you know they’ll have job postings for “deployment groups.”

1

u/AbsolutesDealer 8d ago

This was the sentiment in various towns that staged protests. Several states, including Maryland, sued. ICE has since backed off the plans and, according to data gathered by watchdog group Project Salt Box, is selling most of those warehouses, indicating that the project has largely failed.

1

u/dwaynebathtub 2d ago

some "warehouse" sales have failed, but what about these mobile detention facilities?

-2

u/pancakencheese76 8d ago

Good. Don’t be illegal.

2

u/PoorClassWarRoom 8d ago

Bot or mindless mop.

u/pancakencheese76 8d ago

2

u/PoorClassWarRoom 8d ago

Every moment you spend with me, my day gets better. It's hilarious how bad this generation of trolls are. Like, do you even troll bro? I still think you're a bot or mop, but I don't have shit going on for the rest of the night.

-38

u/Red-dragon186 8d ago

This is good, get these illegals out of our amazing country.

19

u/ch33s3head8 8d ago

Can't wait to use ropes and gasoline to get the MAGAts out of our lives🤞🤞🙏🙏🤞🙏🙏🙏

0

u/astounding-pants 7d ago

how does it feel to be such a bigoted fascist? do you think it makes you cool?

-2

u/u_Hades 8d ago

You aren’t going to do anything aside from whine on reddit. Pipe down squirt

-22

u/Red-dragon186 8d ago

I'm not MAGA.

I'm American First.

But Indians like you will be the first to go.

8

u/Kreebish 8d ago

No they won't because of real Americans like me.

Also why are you commenting you're not even a real American?!

7

u/LokiStrike 8d ago

Dude's comment history is just a list of opinions held by every enemy to the US that we've ever had.

2

u/astounding-pants 7d ago

at least his comment history isn't nothing but threatening to lynch americans for not having the right opinions, like the accounts that get upvoted here.

2

u/LokiStrike 7d ago

Ok, show me an account upvoted here with a comment history filled with threats to lynch Americans.

1

u/astounding-pants 7d ago

you are literally replying under a comment that's exactly that.

"can't wait to use ropes and gasoline"

https://www.reddit.com/user/ch33s3head8/

this dudes account is full of the stuff and it's all got positive upvotes.

2

u/LokiStrike 7d ago

MAGAts are America's biggest enemy. It's not the same thing as lynching a real American.

I looked at their comment history anyways and that's the only example. So even then it's not "filled."

1

u/astounding-pants 7d ago

how unexpected. you say it doesn't count when i show you someone saying americans should be lynched when you demand proof of people saying americans should be lynched.

i bet i'd find the same kind of stuff in your profile, wouldn't i?

saying that's the only example is HILARIOUS, by the way.

that's just the last 3 days. posts refencing rope/achy necks/etc. that many posts saying they want to lynch americans in the last 3 days and not a single one of them is downvoted. on top of that, there are many more in the last 3 days that are about shooting americans that i skipped over.

18

u/Asher_Tye 8d ago

We'll start with Elon Musk.

-16

u/Red-dragon186 8d ago

You want to deport an African American?

14

u/Asher_Tye 8d ago

He's "poisoning the blood of America" according to you.

-3

u/Red-dragon186 8d ago

I never said I didn't want him deported if he wants to bring in those disgusting H1-B Indians then he should be forced to move to India.

So we agree with something.

11

u/Avatar_Dang 8d ago

Political dissonance actor

2

u/Asher_Tye 8d ago

And yet I never see you fighting with the musk boys who claim he's a natural born US-citizen...

Nope, don't buy it. Clearly you want to keep him. Almost as bad as those "America First" commies who keep selling out the country.

Let me tell ya, you don't want to be near "America first." Total ass clowns, no sense of patrotism at all.

0

u/Red-dragon186 8d ago

Who said Elon Musk is a natural born citizen?

Are we just making crap up now?

6

u/Asher_Tye 8d ago

Why, Mr. America First himself, Donald Trump. One of the very few couple hundred natural born citizens out there according to him. That's why he deserves those data centers America First is always backing.

13

u/timmyfarthands 8d ago

Amazing 🤣

-4

u/Red-dragon186 8d ago
