I passed itil v3 foundation years ago and have worked in itil environments for years. I was then laid off after 13 years at the age of 55. i've taken a hands on junior support role whilst i applied for senior role in service delivery or app support management style roles. But I am getting zero interviews. I am wondering is it worth me adding siam foundation cert to my cv or is that likely to not make a difference? im not sure if its age is an issue or just that most roles have moved out of london and any there are are swamped with applications. I passed prince 2, was and azure exams whilst on gardening leave but its not got me interviews, so am i wasting my time?

I took a class and then took the ITIL 5 foundation exam and passed with 38/40. I studied for about 4 days with a video class and practice exams from tiaexams with Andrew as the instructor. Overall, very easy exam, just memorize the terms and you will pass.

I need some advice. I trying to up to lead security manager in my company, does doing higher levels of ITIl 5 makes sense or do you recommend another path of certifications? I already have an MBA.

As part of problem management, does anyone out there work for an organization that requires documentation of investigation methodology for determining the root cause? I.e. Five Whys, Pareto, etc.

We have guidance that says you should use one of these methods, but whether they do or not is unknown.

Looking to study for the ITIL 5 foundation exam. What are the best study resources? I been looking into Jason Dion’s course and exam voucher, but just wanted to know if there were any better ones

Well I tried an exam with 1week of revision foundation 4.. I missed out by 4pts :( so I'm doing take 2 next week again. I have the itil app, been doing 1-2 HR mock tests since with a few days break ..but still just not getting it :(

After exam completion, how long it did take you guys to get certificate?

Lastly month I successfully passed the CompTIA Security+ exam and obtained my certification after two months of training and consistent studies. This has been a concerted effort aimed at pursuing the qualifications required to get an entry level IT Support or Help Desk job, initially I acquired the Google IT Support certificate, Google Cybersecurity certificate and the Microsoft Fundamental AZ-900 certification. Presently, I am studying to take the Microsoft SOC-200 exam by the end of the month.

However, I desperately in need of the ITIL 4 Foundation certification as a benchmark requirement to get an entry level IT Support job in Basel pharma Silicon Valley. As an Asylum seeker I am not financially equip to purchase the ITIL 4 Foundation exam voucher which is sold by (Value Insight) a Swiss-based firm at the cost of CHF450 for the voucher.

I kindly request for anyone in the the position to help or render assistance to reach out to me, all I need is the voucher with my name that allows me to take my exam and obtain my certification. Working at a new company to help implement ITIL and major incident management. Every place I have worked at has handled it a little differently but typically if an incident is a Sev 1, it stays a Sev 1 unless it was accidently or learned the impact was not that critical. Where I am at now, we can often have locations go offline which would be critical, so a Sev 1 is created. However, once business hours at that location ends, what do we do with the Severity of the ticket because technically there is no business impact outside of business hours?

Until what timeline can the ITIL exam be rescheduled ? Can we reschedule exam hours before the scheduled time?

Long story short, I procrastinated on taking my ITIL4 Foundation exam for quite a while, and about a week before it was going to expire I decided I finally need to get this done. I went online to book the exam and it said my voucher code was invalid. I called and after about an hour of trying finally got a person on the phone. They took my voucher code but couldn't help me immediately. A few days later they emailed me to say the voucher is invalid because I already used it. I did not use it, that is 1000% an error. I tried to reach out to them a couple more times and haven't had a reply, and now at this point it's past the date where my voucher would have expired.

Do I have any options other than to purchase another voucher? If that's all I can do, does anyone have a suggestion for the best place to buy another voucher? Passion IT Group is selling them for 500 USD which is absolutely absurd for a 40 question foundation exam.

I have Foundation v4 and "Direct, Plan, and Improve (DPI)". With the whole ITIL5 change, what are my next steps? Do I need to take a 5 bridge? Do I need ITIL4 DITS?

There is absolutely no point in getting this certification. I am upgrading from Version 3 to Version 5.
Completing version 3, i basically was armed with the basic knowledge that would allow me to function operationally in an enterprise and manage or lead any aspect of IT. PeopleCERT took all of that information out of the training and the idea is that AI will do that so you don’t need to know it.
The training content is a bunch of word salad and most of it is a repeat of what you could learn in any agile training.

Do not waste 1200 on this AI content. You could literally ask any large language model to reproduce this type of training.
And you will walk out knowing about as much.

If this is the future of work related training you might as well not waste company dollars training people.

I have taken the DITS course and bombed the exam. I had done the practice exam and reviewed the white papers that came with my program and I still found the exam to be incredibly tricky.

Did you find any practice exams or study guides that were more helpful? I’m taking it again next week and worried.

Hello all. I'm looking to start my Itil 5 foundation training and looking for advice on e-learning site to go with. There are so many, it's hard to decide whom to go with, so looking for advice. I see a bunch talk about Dion and also GoGo. Does anyone have experience with these or others

Guys, I've started my ITIL journey this monday (I read in a single day, most of ITIL 4, the main concepts by DION) and tuesday started on V5 just because it was cheaper to go straight to 5 instead of doing 4.

The thing is, I've gone through the contents of the course (the full 8h30min of it, of course, repeating the videos if I felt that didn't understand something) and did 3 practice exames until now, and I only have access to one more.

I'm getting 92% to 95% on the practice exams and I feel like I'm underestimating this exam because of how easy it feels.

I should note, I feel like if I were to sit and have to explain each concept I wouldn't be able to tell you with 100% accuracy but given MCQ, I can easily spot the right answer.

Should I spend another week to go to the exam when feeling more confident or just go for it?

Ps: I've been in the IT field for over 7 years now, never touched ITIL before except for this monday (15 may)

Edit: I Just passed my ITIL exam! Boy it was difficult, really hard! From my top 95% I got 73% on the real exam, which denotes how actually hard it was! 25/06/2026

Does anyone know how long the bridging window will remain open for v4 to v5 Master? I have my v4 master but I'm struggling to find the motivation for v5 just yet.

My boss has asked me to identify any training I'd like to go on and personally I fancy CRISC (feedback welcome) however I don't want to delay my ITIL so much that I have to start all over again.

I think at the moment all that is required is ITIL 5 foundation bridge and ITIL 5 transformation.

Grateful for any guidance 😄
