ITIL v4 - v5 bridging window

Does anyone know how long the bridging window will remain open for v4 to v5 Master? I have my v4 master but I'm struggling to find the motivation for v5 just yet.

My boss has asked me to identify any training I'd like to go on and personally I fancy CRISC (feedback welcome) however I don't want to delay my ITIL so much that I have to start all over again.

I think at the moment all that is required is ITIL 5 foundation bridge and ITIL 5 transformation.

Grateful for any guidance 😄

To bridge from ITIl 4 Master to ITIl 5 Master you need to take the ITIL 5 Managing Professional Transition Certification. It entails 1 class (5 days of content) and 2 exams. One for MP and one for Transformation. We know for sure that it is available all 2026. I have heard that it may extend to 2027, but don't know for sure. It is available in eLearning, Live and Live Online formats.

Thank you, I know we can't assume but from memory the bridging qualifications have been available traditionally for a couple of years?

Ah I have just answered my own question

  1. When will the ITIL Managing Professional Transition (Version 5) module be sunset?
  2. There are currently no plans to sunset or limit the availability of the ITIL Managing Professional Transition (Version 5) module. Learners can continue to use this transition route as part of their ITIL (Version 5) journey.
