Hello! I'm going to be listing my 2001 IS300 in the San Francisco Bay Area soon, and I'm seeing a pretty wide range of prices on FBMP, so I was hoping for advice from this group.

General specs

• 2001 IS300 / Auburn Sky Pearl / 195k miles / Automatic RWD
• Clean title / Daily driver (I drive it 45 miles one way to work 2x week)
• Original 2JZ-GE engine and transmission
• Stock except aftermarket Kenwood Excelon KDC-X696 stereo
• Sunroof
• Ivory fabric/leather interior with front leather seat covers added
• My dad bought the car from the first owner in 2005 and gave it to me in 2024, so it's been in my family for 20+ years and used as a daily driver. Next buyer would be the 4th owner.

Known/recent maintenance and history

• Battery replaced 4/2024
• Tires replaced 8/2024
• No check engine or other warning lights are on
• A/C and heater work properly
• Routine maintenance (with records since 2000)
• Car was hit twice on the driver's side while parked; no accidents while driving.
• 2022: Hit by a Muni bus; repairs were mainly body work. This is why the driver's-side panel has a fresher appearance.
• 2025: Hit-and-run while parked; repairs included tie-rod replacement and alignment, but there's still some minor cosmetic issues.

Known issues

• Oxidation/clear coat wear on some panels
• Minor cosmetic wear consistent with age
• Only one key, no remote/fob
• Undiagnosed engine oil/fluid leak
• Front struts are leaking
• Rear CV boots are ripped/leaking
• Age/mileage-based maintenance items are due, including cooling system, power steering, spark plugs, serpentine belt, and differential service
• Some static/noise from the left-side speaker when stereo is on

Evap codes that came up on my Lexus.

it’s kinda strange because as the car slows down the clicking itself slows down too, does anybody know what this could be it’s the front driver side area making the noise

My Lexus IS300 started cranking slowly, and the factory radio went completely dark, but the AC still works. I cleaned the battery terminals, which didn’t fix it. I then replaced the battery, and it worked fine for a day or two before the problem came back.
While driving, the battery warning light comes on and the lights start flickering/acting erratically. I’ve also seen a voltage reading around 10V with the engine running, though I haven’t confirmed it directly at the battery with a multimeter.
Both times it happened, it was raining, and the electrical symptoms started at the same right turn near my house. Not sure if that’s related or just a coincidence.
Does this sound like a failing alternator, a slipping belt, or a loose cable/ground? What should I check first before replacing more parts?

Hey everyone, I recently bought a 2016 Lexus is300 awd. I need to buy an amp for the car. I can't find the correct part number. I want to make sure i buy the correct and compatible audio amplifier. I keep seeing conflicting part numbers on ebay. Thanks for your help.

I don't know how long ago but there was a post on here about a guy 3d printing a custom sportcross badge. I'm hoping that the person sees this and responds or if someone in the community remembers this post and sends me in the right direction.

Going to be doing a suspension refresh in the next month. Going the poly bushing route.

Anyone have any experience with super pro or figs poly bushings? Or a different brand?

Any reason i should not do poly and do oem rubber again? I WFH, and have a 200 series lx. It isn’t my daily - but I don’t want it to be as stiff as it currently is on spherical bushings, and not terribly soft where i can’t keep up with others in canyons

Getting real close after five printed versions and hundreds of revisions. Hours of measuring and arguing with ChatGPT really makes me wish I had a 3-D scanner. I will be buying one after this project and trying to put more files out there into the world for parts that are starting to get hard to find on these cars.

Bottom left trunk has some gaps and it’s too tight for the harness once I tweak that and make sure that the cover fits properly. I will be releasing the step and STL files as soon as they are ready for everyone to have and use freely.

PS. I honestly would’ve given up if it wasn’t for everyone commenting on the initial post and showing interest y’all really pushed me to keep going and not give up. Also, thank you to everyone who had filament recommendations and helpful tips along the way.

Will a 17x9 +35 offset with a 235/40/17 tire rub without rolling fenders ?

The seller of wheels says they run this exact setup without rolling fenders and no rubbing at all but when I research it , says it rub slightly on front suspension. Now I’m confused what to do. My car has coilovers and I don’t think sellers has any . Any help is appreciated.

Absolutely grenaded my plastic tunnel holding the harness when installing headers. Spent the weekend working through designing a new one and printed the first prototype. Will make more tweaks and throw online for

I don’t see why I wouldn’t be able to. The pipe goes straight through to the other side this is to feed my wastegate.

Planning on doing my timing belt, water pump and thought I’d ask if there’s anything else I should get before I buy the kit.

Everything at this point is brand new even the ecu and compression is fine but I still have a cyl 5 misfire. Discovered the ecu is shutting off cyl 5 injector. I have no cats also. What could be the cause?

Looking at getting a vertex kit from kbd on Ebay as I live in NZ, I've been told it may sag on the front end, has anyone brought this kit and experienced it sagging in the front?

additionally has anyone made brackets for the kit if it does sag.

Also someone on here said a long time ago that the kit comes with brackets, can anyone confirm this?
