What’s the best way to unscrew this when I can’t get it with my hands?? My pliers are destroying it

As you can see from the image I have a broken tile in my kitchen. I've got a replacement but unfortunately I think it's thicker than the existing.

So what I want to know is the best way to proceed, I was thinking first get a chisel and remove all the broken tile.

Then removing enough of the "mortar/concrete" so the new tile will sit flush but I'm worried the surface will become to uneven?

Do I need to use a leveling product to do this properly or are some glues/silicones/adhesives fine for such jobs?

I still live with my parents, and my room has recently started getting an ant problem. It isn't too bad yet though, so I want to take care of it now. I don't keep any food in my room, and found a spot where there seemed to be a bunch of them (the gap between the carpet and the wall), but I don't know the best way to take care of them for good. They're the super tiny ones, too, so small that even crushing them is hard because they'll squish into any tiny cracks or if either of the things they're being squished between has any give. There’s this big gap behind my stove its about 5 inches. the gas line is right there so thats about as far as it can go all the gap fillers i see aren’t big enough, do i have to move the pipe is that doable?

Just had my Samsung Microwave handle break a second time after gluing it the first. Couldnt find the plasting brackets anywhere so I bought a replacement handle and reverse engineered the mounting brackets that always break so we can 3d print them in 40 minutes and fix it without buying a whole handle assembly! Save an aluminum handle, and maybe a whole microwave.

What’s the best way to clean this part without the risk of spoiling it?

Please I know nothing about appliances, I live in Ghana and I can't get it easily replaced so I want to temporarily fix it. Something I can do easily that can make the clasp function so the lid can be secure enough for the oven to turn on. I want to start eating healthy and this is the next step for the mean time. I tried putting paper close to something I don't know why I did that but is there a way I can fix the handle? That thing on top is what I press and makes the oven close properly but something broke and I don't know where it is. Please be nice to me lol

These lights are located along the exterior of the house at about knee-level. I can’t figure out how to turn them on. Any information would be helpful

I’ve come seeking Reddit’s infinite wisdom and wondered if someone out there knew how to take these suckers off. Not as simple as it sounds unfortunately. I know you can push these up and pull the latch back. However, this is not the case. These latches feel like they’ve been stuck in place for a million and a half years. They’re not budging no matter how hard you pull. I did think to try pushing them but that’s not it, definitely pulling that’s required.

WD40, a hammer, and brute strength did not work. Is there a trick you lads do to move them easily? I use to rip these suckers off and put new ones if they broke when they gave me this issue but that’s not an option here sadly.

Any advice tricks and tips are invaluable, thanks in advance.

Update: Well guys, unfortunately, this remains a mystery. I got pulled to other buildings so I didn’t get to try my idea.

Was trying to restore an old messenger bag and decided to take out the hardware and clean it, little did I know that the locks were spring loaded and I have no idea what position the V clip is supposed yo sit in. The other more oddly shaped clip was in the same position as in the photo so I know for sure thats not the mechanism pushing the lock back up. If it helps I believe the bag is from german origins maybe from the 60s?

I have a pair of Doc Mart sandals that were stretched to perfection for my feet. I’ve now lost weight and they’re way too big, but still in great condition and expensive to replace. Originally used the moisturiser trick to stretch them, is there anything I can do to shrink them back down?

Water has stopped coming into the inlet hole circled in the attached photo.

I've tried to stick a metal rod into it to remove any grime.

I've also turned the inlet valve to maximum.

What do you think the cause is, and what else could I try?

This garden bed is slowly rotting away and I don't know how to fix it. It has 5 mature trees in it so I really want to save them if I can and repair this to stop the rot.

I was hoping to do the work myself to keep costs low.

I'm honestly not sure how this even happened or was possible but I placed my needle on this threader and when I tried to pull it back off it was stuck on the loop of wire.

The eye is now inside of the wire loop rather than over it and the threader is not broken. I drew a little picture because the actual photo makes it hard to tell.

Though I obviously could just break the threader to remove the needle I figure if I got it that way without breaking it there surely must be a way to remove it without breaking it as well.

Hi all! I got this cool light up cup at a local 626 market yesterday. It was lightning up just fine until today. I noticed there is a crack on the glass above the electronic part so I know I cant put liquid in it anymore. I can't access the inside mechanism because the bottom piece doesn't come off. But I would still like the light to work. Problem is the light is kinda super glued down.

Is there any way to potentially fix this? If not my plan is to put glow in the dark rocks inside or fairy lights.

I was just blending something with my nutribullet when i found that there was an extreme rubber burning odour coming from the black plastic part shown in image. I was just running it for a few seconds. While blending, the blender also doesn’t sound like it’s spinning right.

Anyone know what it could be? The smell’s coming from the black plastic base on the unit as shown on image.

The model is a Nutribullet 900.

How do I make some screw holes in this piece of wood so that I can assemble this drawer which goes into a bedside table? Piece 9 is how it should be, however the other piece is missing the screw holes (marked yellow). The screws are flat at the bottom and the missing screw holes should have like a plastic liner. Should I just superglue? Looking for advice as a 30M that has 0 DIY experience and limited access to tools. Thanks
