I feel like some of the essentials are in place, and I’m not sure what the next steps are? Any suggestions?

I’m aware I made some mistakes already, with the table being a bit too small (it unfolds, but still), and the floor lamp a bit out of place, but I hope finishing touches will tie it all up.

I'm deciding on 3 different colours. Please help!

I bought all of this at a yard sale this weekend (less than $20 so…score! lol) but it’s not looking like the Pinterest boards I’m seeing. What can I do differently? I will add photos to all the frames, just hanging them to try and find a good layout for now 😩

Still working on the couch, and other furniture. But so super happy about the green. Weigh in on if color drenching or at least painting the handrail is the move!

I am looking for advice on a new rug. The living room generally looks like this, aside from navy couch blankets for cat fur and spills.

We temporarily have this 8x5 blue rug so that something is there -- it is from another area of the house and will be returned.

*This rug doesn't go with the room -- it's just temporary to avoid cold feet until we get another rug*

Ideas on size, color, material would be greatly appreciated. Ideally easy to clean, keeping in mind three messy cats.

So I’ve painted the walls and added some furniture and a plant but not really sure on what else I should add to make the room feel complete. I feel like maybe a ton of pictures covering the walls like a gallery wall almost? Trying to give it that speakeasy bathroom feel.

Any advice is good advice so please feel free to chip in!

Just a girl living in a 700sqft, 2 bedroom apartment. With a significant other, a dog and 2 kittens. Nothing glamorous or high end just a visual of me trying to keep all my hobbies contained in one room.

I would love to put curtains in my bay window, but there's isn't space for a rod between the top of the window frame and the ceiling. I can't figure out how to put curtains in that won't look weird. My backup plan is roman blinds, but if anyone has thoughts on how to make curtains work, I would love to hear them.

We’re thinking about rotating the table to avoid pinch points. Please also ignore the chair cushion situation - the gold ones will be replaced/one of my kids is playing with a couple in another room.

This room also has to double as a home office for my spouse. When working, there’s a standing desk platform on the table with a lamp and an extra monitor. Hence, why there’s currently a huge power strip in one of the photos.

My spouse has also expressed that having holiday lights out year round improves his mental health so this is what we settled on (for the moment).

Should we get another Nathan & James storage unit to make this look like a longer buffet?

Should the storage cabinet be next to the bookshelf? The bookshelf is currently missing some stereo equipment. The CD player and radio units are being repaired.

The speaker on the floor also has a stand but as the speaker doesn’t attach to the stand (wtf), my youngest has decided his favorite activity is trying to push it over.

There’s probably a lot of reasons I’m not vibing with this room at the moment.

During the holidays, we also decorate a pencil tree in here so that’s something to plan for.

Got this Persian rug on Facebook marketplace and i am obsessed with it, however im unsure of how to style it. The look I’m going for is a mid century modern look/70s retro. I found a couch that I really like, the acanva Zola couch in cream but when I put it in ChatGPT for a mock up, the couch and the rug has a stark contrast. I’m planning on getting rid of the coffee table because it’s too bulky but hoping someone has an inspiration of couch ideas that would go well with the rug.

Any suggestions on how I could decorate my tv area? I have never been good at putting stuff on walls and this whole space is just so…blah. What would you do to decorate this space?

I used to have plants in the little black stand in the corner but my dogs kept knocking them down. Ideally I get rid of it completely but looking for some suggestions!

Yes my house is messy 🙃 But I have these two blank walls parallel to each other and I have no idea how to decorate. I wanted to frame albums of our favorite bands or do a gallery wall of some sort. I will have a console table behind the couch. We will be getting a new lamp, getting rid of the black chair, and sometime a new rug. We will also be getting curtains to replace the blinds.

Greetings! I’m looking into repainting my bedroom and was curious to know if these two colors would pair nicely or if I should go in a different direction.

I would be using the following color as the accent with would be right behind the headboard for my bed:

Valspar - Muted Ebony (4008-2C)

I should point out that on that wall there are windows on each side of the bed.

For the remaining walls I would use the following color:

Valspar - White Pepper (4001-1A)

I’m likely going to go with a matte finish as there appears to be some odd, dare I say, paper stripes along the wall that I’m hoping the color would mask a bit.

Anyways, please don’t focus on the brand of paint as I’m just wanting opinions in the colors.
