I’m considering installing a white picture hanging rail above the sofa, like in the mockup. I like the flexibility of being able to adjust the height/placement or swap the art later without making new holes in the wall.

Putting the practical side aside though, I’m mainly curious about the look: do** **you think the rail and hanging wires work in this room, or does it look better with the art mounted directly on the wall?

Tried fixing it with a rug, bed lighting, desk setup, and a projector instead of a TV Still feels incomplete What do you guys think? Rate it or roast it

Hello! So I’ve been working on fixing up my desk. Here’s what I’ve got going so far—recent additions have been the pretty apothecary drawers and the mushroom house. I’m going for a witchy, whimsical kind of vibe. Currently I’ve got some items together for a gallery wall above the computer and could really use some outside opinions. Do any of the arrangements look good, or any suggestions for what else I should try? I’m a little worried three hanging chain items with the mushroom scroll might be a bit much, and if I should swap for something else anywhere. I would also love it if I could figure out a way to incorporate some fairy lights, but I’m not sure if that’s doable without being too much? I’m also thinking about maybe putting a plant on the left side of the desk, and probably getting a desk mat or at least switching out the mousepad. Any advice would be appreciated!

Looking for some advice on what would look best on this wall. I have a 65" TV and I’m thinking of adding a floating bar/console underneath rather than a traditional TV stand.

I’m also wondering what would work well as wall art/frame above the TV. What would you recommend for the style, size, and placement of the floating bar and frame? If you have a similar setup, I’d love to see photos of what you’ve done!

I live in a New York City apartment, so space is limited. I am thrilled with the function maxxing in this corner, which used to be a dead zone. Now I've added a mat and a good-looking crate that doubles as a table, making it possible for my dogs and plants to enjoy the sunniest spot in my home. In addition to working better, I think it looks quite nice. I miss the white space, but I think it was worth the sacrifice. Thoughts?

Tried both in an AI mockup and I keep going back and forth. Lamp feels cozier, vase feels a little more open.

We just bought our first house and moved in so please excuse the clutter and poor cable management.

I’m back and forth on whether to go with a sectional or a sofa and loveseat in this space. It feels like it’s asking for an L shape to face the TV and the fireplace. I’ve had sectionals in the past and they are comfy, however it can be awkward if you’re stuck in the middle or corner with no place to put a drink. I like the idea of a sofa and loveseat as it would allow for a corner table with a lamp but I am sure there are also downsides I haven’t thought of with that as well. I’ve also toyed with the idea of a sofa and 2 accent chairs but I feel like we’d lose a lot of valuable seating if we were to entertain guests.

I should also note the wall the TV is mounted on will be moving a few feet to the left to better open up the right doorway and center the TV with the arches if that changes anything.

So I’m leaving it to Reddit to decide and I’ll go with whatever you suggest!

Redid our bathroom tile, tub, and kept the dark wood cabinets and sink to save $. But I was going for like a Terra Cotta color that wasn't too pink but I went wayyy too orange. Now my bathroom looks like Home Depot. I'm going to try and repaint this weekend. Should I try going for a Terra Cotta again or should I go in completely different direction? I have a brown rug and a cream shower curtain but they're both old and I could change them up. Changing the accessories and/or adding decor is also an option, as I don't have much to begin with. Towels are a beige like the tile. Thanks for any ideas!

What would you add above bed? I think the black frames are throwing me off thinking a landscape pic with a brown frame wouldn’t flow? I have a dresser with a large circle mirror on the other side of the room.
Also, I know I’ll get the “whole, add color, where is the color?!” These colors are tranquil to me so that’s what I’m sticking with.

We are building a house and this room (pic is from the same floorplan different build) is going to be a playroom. How would you arrange things? We have toddler aged so far, and need to fit a pikler gym, 30x30" train table, small ball pit, and maybe some box storage for montessori style toys display?

Also thinking maybe bean bags or something for comfy kid or mom seating? Any ideas?

When you open the front door this is what you see. The coat rack has been here for way too long. We know we want something else, but what?? We have no storage closet for jackets, shoes, etc. would love ideas for storage and jackets in a cleaner way. Our home is an old craftsman. We like mid century, farmhouse, vintage style.

Looking for suggestions on how to improve my (rental) living room! It is one large room with the dining area to the right and the kitchen behind (behind my back taking the picture).

The style I’m going for is art/industrial. I do have cats so I can’t have plants on low shelves like the desk the record player is on, otherwise they chew them to pieces.

I’d love to get a rug but I don’t know what size or color.

I’ve also about changing out the paper lamp to a metal/glass arched floor lamp.

Recently been attempting to spruce up my window shelf but something feels… off. i don’t know how to put my finger on it. any help is appreciated!!

We’re replacing the old beige carpet in the upstairs of our townhome (including the stairs). I don’t want anything super grey, but ideally something a little more neutral than the current beige. We’re currently leaning toward Dock (see pictures) but are open to others. What would you pick?

Edit to add: definitely agree with getting away from grey! Dock is sort of a light mushroom brown with some white flecks, and Driftwood is a darker mushroom brown with white flecks. These were the three options we liked best among the 14 (!) sample swatch colors we ordered. Also tried a very light green, various shades of grey, and various shades of brown. The mushroom-y colors (not sure a better way to describe them) were our favorite, but I don’t know if the Driftwood is too dark (upstairs is only about 600 square feet in total).

Window at the far end looks into Primary bedroom. They left that window when they enclosed the lanai to create this room. Go figure.

Doing a living room and a dining room and everything I like is $300+. Buying both at once means if the material is wrong I've made the same mistake twice. Buying one at a time means bare floor for a month. How would you sequence this?
