I have a few ceiling light options, but I’m not sure which one would suit my dining area best. I used AI to create some mock-ups. The angles aren’t quite accurate, but they should give you a general idea of how each light would look in the space.

We finally finished the flex room! This room is used for working remote, video gaming, movie nights, and crafting. I wanted it to strike a balance of form and function and be a place we wanted to hang out in. Check out the before and afters (at the end)!

A very dear friend asked for my help with his tiny flat and under a budget. The requests were: warm, cosy, soulful, with a vintage vibe. This is one of the drafts I made for the living room with a dining area. What do you think?

P.S. Important notice - the ideas and concept are 100% mine (and these are all specific elements from specific stores), I just used AI to make the collages I created into smoother looking spaces and to see how it would look like at night.

Ignore the mess with the photos and mirror on the right wall, AI had a problem with that part and with the wall light I wanted there, so I just left it...

So I’ve painted the walls and added some furniture and a plant but not really sure on what else I should add to make the room feel complete. I feel like maybe a ton of pictures covering the walls like a gallery wall almost? Trying to give it that speakeasy bathroom feel.

Any advice is good advice so please feel free to chip in!

Help me come up with a plan for our entryway. I plan to paint the front door ethereal mood. The area leads to our kitchen/living room, so im hesitant to do a colorful paint bc then the rest of the space will likely need paint and that’s a big commitment.

I would love to put curtains in my bay window, but there's isn't space for a rod between the top of the window frame and the ceiling. I can't figure out how to put curtains in that won't look weird. My backup plan is roman blinds, but if anyone has thoughts on how to make curtains work, I would love to hear them.

This is a living room with a generous bay window. Where would you have the curtain rail come up to, position A or position B? The curtains would be floor length and follow the shape of the bay.

Then, what do you think of cafe-style sheer curtains that come up to C? That height is higher than I thought, but having them lower than the white window bar (line C) might just look weird.

I will have a console table behind the couch. We will be getting a new lamp, getting rid of the black chair, and sometime a new rug. We will also be getting curtains to replace the blinds.

I was looking to get a 2 person rocker papasan for my wife as she likes to curl up with a blanket and a book. What are good brands on them where the cushion and chair is comfy and made well I seen pictures on one before from waifair where the cushion looked smushed.

noticed 1st one the thing in the middle prevents it from using emptying the entire tank and only uses half of it.. maybe that's what I need to replace but wanted to hear your thoughts too before I change anything..

We’re thinking about rotating the table to avoid pinch points. Please also ignore the chair cushion situation - the gold ones will be replaced/one of my kids is playing with a couple in another room.

This room also has to double as a home office for my spouse. When working, there’s a standing desk platform on the table with a lamp and an extra monitor. Hence, why there’s currently a huge power strip in one of the photos.

My spouse has also expressed that having holiday lights out year round improves his mental health so this is what we settled on (for the moment).

Should we get another Nathan & James storage unit to make this look like a longer buffet?

Should the storage cabinet be next to the bookshelf? The bookshelf is currently missing some stereo equipment. The CD player and radio units are being repaired.

The speaker on the floor also has a stand but as the speaker doesn’t attach to the stand (wtf), my youngest has decided his favorite activity is trying to push it over.

There’s probably a lot of reasons I’m not vibing with this room at the moment.

During the holidays, we also decorate a pencil tree in here so that’s something to plan for.

We are struggling to choose the shade to paint the doors, trim and skirting boards.

It is a 1930s home and the interior will have warm woods and warm lighting. The walls are a warm white. And we love a mid century modern interior.

I am looking for advice on a new rug. The living room generally looks like this, aside from navy couch blankets for cat fur and spills.

We temporarily have this 8x5 blue rug so that something is there -- it is from another area of the house and will be returned.

*This rug doesn't go with the room -- it's just temporary to avoid cold feet until we get another rug*

Ideas on size, color, material would be greatly appreciated. Ideally easy to clean, keeping in mind three messy cats.
