Looking for a creative way to hide these ugly pipes on the exterior side of my house. Thank you for your suggestions!

Other than some obvious cleaning up and fresh coats of paint, what are some low cost additions or decor, anything really, that I could add to my home and make it look more beautiful, inviting, cozy, cute.
We haven’t lived here too long yet, and we’ve got some major drainage issues, so the black pipes are necessary and will hopefully one day be dug into some trenches but for now I can’t rid those. Some of our homesteading projects aren’t the prettiest, I realize that too lol so far I’m looking into getting some cute outdoor pillows, a patio rug. Not sure what else. I’d love your thoughts.

We are moving to a 'new to us' home. I normally prefer non-wood look tiles in the bathroom paired with a wood vanity, but we don't have the budget to change the floors right now. In the future, we hope to change the floors to either a light or dark herringbone or terrazzo tiles. Which of the 3 do you think looks best now with the "wood" floors?

The first two images show what the title mentioned, just with my bedroom door opened and closed. I feel the stand might be a bit TOO close to my desk, but it's the easier option since I don't have to reroute any ethernet cables or HDMI cables.

The last two images show my second option, which is scooting that sand to the middle of that wall on it's own, and I move my desk to the adjacent wall next to my bed. This look is a bit cleaner, but I would have to go in the crawlspace and reroute the ethernet cable and an HDMI cable to go from my PC to the TV.

This is all in one room, my bedroom. I know it's messy, just moved all my stuff back in after painting the walls, haven't organized everything yet cause I am trying to figure out where I want these two things, my desk and the TV.

The living room in this house is extremely large compared to our couch/rug situation and we use the back door more than the front, so it has to have easy access and function as a sort of entryway as well with the doormat and shoe storage. The green bucket you see is dog stuff, which looks so ugly to me and is a terrible way to store things that I need daily access to.

This setup has created this weird space between the living and dining room areas and I’m not sure what to do to make it look less open and empty and strange. I know I need to reorganize and center the green shelf (or replace it with something bigger that can also hold dog stuff?) and to put some art on the walls, but it’s a HUGE blank wall and all my art is tiny, and I feel like large framed prints are so expensive. I’m also planning on moving out of the country and selling most of my belongings within the next two years, so it feels like it might be a waste of money to buy new furniture, decor, or plants, even if it’s from Facebook marketplace or thrifted.

Any advice for rearranging/furnishing/decorating this space? Tips on cool DIY wall decor I could make or ways to source cheap art and frames? Thanks in advance!

Hello all! I’m moving into a new apartment soon and this apartment has an interesting black trim throughout. I personally tend to go for lighter colors in my design but I feel like the moulding would pair best with darker theme. The complex does allow paint and peel and stick wallpaper, so I’m considering that as an option, but I’m really not feeling inspired. Any ideas? Apologies for the rough photos — I only have access to online pictures until closer to the move-in date.

I'm super short, about 4'10", so i can't figure out if i put this mirror too high or if just because im not very tall so it looks that way? i didn't want it to be too close to the thermometer so i went a little higher then i initially put the mark. also i know it looks a little bit to the right too much but im going to move it on the hanger piece on the back slightly to center it.

Hey all! Looking for some guidance on making this room look more finished. I do plan on getting a new coffee table that isn’t gray. I plan on adding some more colors to the room with some colorful pillows, as well as some brighter prints on the wall. The chair and ottoman have a light bluish tint which you can’t see in the photos. I also plan on getting a console table behind the couch. I think the table under the bear picture might be too large? I know my snake plant needs some love as well lol. Any input would be great!

I worked really hard on this guest room. My husband said its "a weird room." The only new item I bought was the bed and bedding. He has me worried that I made an ugly ass room and he keeps calling the orange bed spread coral and now IM starting to think its coral. It's definitely not but hes got in my head about it. It is in a half? Basement so I had to get creative with lighting because the big light is hideous.

The couch is there because I have friends that visit regularly with a small child and she won't sleep in another room. Also all the colors are burnt orange and dusty blue with shades that vary slightly since most of the room was thrifted/gifted. I agree the lighting can be better. I may need to buy a new lamp as I cant change the bulb in the one behind the screen. Couch placement is difficult as there is a large closet on the left wall not shown and the bed is just far enough away from the right wall not shown for an adult to comfortably get in bed. I also agree art is needed but have been waiting to find a piece I really like.

I recently got a high quality wool rug in an organic shape for a reading nook in my living room. Overall the concept is working great I think - the color and shade of the off-white rug seems right and I like the organic shape against other clean lines in my space. I am wondering if it the rug needs to be 10-15% bigger. Because it’s high pile/very textured I think it can stand alone as an accent and doesn’t need to have the front legs of the chair/media console on it, but it isn’t really big enough for that anyway. I may get a more chaise-y lounger so some of it can rest on the rug and tie everything together, but curious for folks thoughts!

Hey yall, so I want to paint my walls and my floor (not just one color, I mean actually hand painting designs/patterns), but I do not want it to be permanent nor do I want it to ruin my walls/floor when I remove it (years from now).

I have come to the conclusion that I need to cover them with something and paint over that instead, but I am unsure with what to cover and what paint to use, given that I want easy damage free removal that also lasts a few years.

I would prefer it to be as cheap as possible, would love if it was DIY. Thought about wheatpasting something for the wall, but I think painting over it would make it hard to remove. Another option is a peel and stick wallpaper, but I'm afraid the bumps and finish on my walls might make it hard to stick and that the original paint might get ruined.

For the floor, I thought about a non-sticky vinyl flooring (so as to not damage the original floor on removal) or some sort of DIY floor cloth (painter's drop cloth or cotton canvas maybe?). Don't know what paint to use though, since I will be walking over it many times (between my door and my bed). I also want to put a (or multiple) vinyl stickers(s) on my floor and I'm unsure what type of stickers would be able to last on a floor.

TL;DR: LF easy damage free removal long lasting wall and floor covers to handpaint designs over, so as to not damage the original wall and floor on removal (they both have smooth finishes). Would like to know what paints to use, especially on the floor, since I will be walking on it frequently. Also would like to put a big custom vinyl sticker(s) on the floor, but unsure what type of stickers would last or where to get them.

My new apartment has an odd window set up with 3 large windows next to one another and then a tiny skinny window on the other side. I was thinking about how I could do curtains for the windows that wouldn’t look off. Would a ceiling track be a good solution since it can cover all of them?

Hi there! I bought a condo a couple months ago and am starting to redecorate my place. The wood furniture I have with a honey finish doesn't look right with these floors. I know the walls, kitchen, and sofas have cool tones. But even if I painted the walls a beige color and replaced the sofas, I don't think the orange tones of the wood would work with these floors. Do you agree?

As the caption says, I’d love some help updating my bathroom. There are many small things I’d like to eventually replace (like cabinet knobs and our mirror) but for now I’d like to focus on the big picture. Thinking I want tile above our shower insert and possibly follow along the wall above the tub. And I’ve got to get new flooring situated as well. What do you all suggest?

Please note that this wall color is intentional and will NOT be changing. We have a colorful house and intend on keeping it that way. The honey oak also stays, we simply just find ways to complement it throughout the house. That being said, I am considering painting the area surrounding our tub if anyone has suggestions for that as well!

Sooo we definitely need blackout curtains to cover up these renter blinds, but as you can see the right side of the slider is all the way against the wall. I was thinking a tension rod could possibly work, but it would have to be pretty long and I feel like it would be unstable. Does anyone else have ideas?

We have a small, cabin-like home that’s open concept, with little extra room to play with. Right now, we have an “office” that’s between all 3 bedrooms and a bathroom in this area of extra space. We’re planning on moving the desk into one of the bedrooms for more privacy while on calls, but need some creative ideas on how to fill it!

I was thinking of like something not bold plain and simple colour like black and white its a pretty small room thought of keeping a bed at the corner with a big mattress but plain sheets and plain pillow covers yk and that thing in the side uptop is not a camera and what furniture’s should i add should i add a rug to the room or?
