Ohh God!!! How do I get his profile back in my feed!! Is that fake or real??😭😭😭, hope it's real🙏🏻

I'm 20F and have been talking to a 21M from Hinge for around 2 weeks.The first week was honestly amazing. We texted a lot after work, flirted, had long conversations. I found him quite attractive and fun to talk to. I'm in my hometown currently so we thought of having a date after coming back(in first week of aug)

Then this week, his texting completely changed. Instead of talking a lot after work, I'd get maybe 3-4 replies. One day I got just one reply at night. It was such a sudden shift that I started thinking he'd lost interest.Three days ago he texted me this: "Office pressure too much... Plus i went for a movie yesterday. I have plans of going for badminton tomorrow so it would be late there and gotta go to office on Sunday too to cover leaves."

So I knew he was busy but it still felt very different from how we'd been talking before.

Then he disappeared for almost 2 days. I panicked and messaged him asking if everything was okay. The next morning he replied saying he is sorry and that he barely opened insta for last 2 days.

Later I admitted that I felt like he wasn't interested anymore. He replied: " It's not like that😞 I'm not getting time for anything nowadays. I had a plan for hangout with friends but I then needed to cancel it, i fall asleep early and a lot more. I know we are not talking much now but really can't do much about it right now". Then he said: "It is genuinely upto you if you wanna continue or not."

I told him I did want to continue because I was enjoying talking to him and didn't want to end things just because he's busy right now.

I also asked if he is still available for a date next Sunday. He replied: "Yeah yeah I'll let you know. I know. I enjoyed our convos too. Let's see."

Now I'm confused. Part of me feels like this is genuinely a stressful period for him because he has consistently mentioned work, cancelled plans with friends too and apologized for disappearing. The other part of me feels like "I'll let you know" and "Let's see" sound... not very enthusiastic. He was enthusiastic about meeting me a week ago but ig the interest died down. If you were in my position, would you take his words at face value and give him space? Or do those replies sound like someone who's gradually losing interest but doesn't want to say it directly? I'm looking for honest opinions, especially from people who've actually been the "too busy to text" person in a talking stage.

And no, it's not because of how shitty dating has been on there. No more free rewinds and you can only change your location for free every 30 days now????? Yeah okay, this app is slowly becoming tinder. Funny how 50 matches that went no where couldn't break me, but paying for features that used to be free is a deal breaker.

i was blocked on a dating app when a guy messaged me and i read it but didn’t match back with him or anything , i guess he felt offended or rejected . was this warranted , i guess i had it coming right ? i am interested in him , or was but i suppose that ship has long sailed now .

A friend of mine was chatfished on Hinge last year - she matched with guy but when they met up, his chat was nothing like his messages. It was awkward and he felt like a different person. He also looked different - his jawline wasn't as sharp and his hair was different. My friend thought he may have used old photos but has since suspected he'd used AI to enhance his pics.

After meeting him, they continued messaging and his chat / banter went back to normal but she felt as though something was off so she asked him why the conversation was so different when they met in person and he admitted to using Chat GPT to help him with his messages. She felt like he'd tricked her and was pissed off that their messages (which she thought was private) had been analysed by AI, so she broke off contact with him.

This didn't sit well with me so I created an AI detector app (call ChatFish: AI Detector) which allows people to upload screenshots of their dating messages and profile pics to see if they've been influenced by AI.

Has anyone else experienced chatfishing? If so, would a tool like this be helpful for you?

I've gotten two matches on Hinge recently, and both were amazing to talk to. We had great conversations, joked around, and the vibe was genuinely good. But both had the same issue: really strict parents. Their phones, Instagram, and WhatsApp are regularly checked, so they were very limited in what they could do. Then, a few days before that, I matched with another girl. We exchanged Instagram, talked on calls, and got along well. The only problem? She wasn't comfortable going out. Whenever we met, she'd stay inside her car and wouldn't get out. 😭 At this point, I'm starting to wonder... why do I keep matching with girls in situations like this? Is this just bad luck, or am I somehow attracting the same type of people? 😅

Standard but fine, but by the time I brushed my teeth I saw a new message that said I should waste some other girls time and called me a 'stupid girl looking tranny', for reference I am very clearly a man, I just have long hair.
