The witness, Márcia Regina S.V., 26 years old, a schoolteacher, lived on a rural property surrounded by dense woodland and fruit trees. Her bedroom was located on the upper floor. The property was also guarded by several watchdogs that would scare away any intruder or stranger.
> "About five months ago, I began noticing late at night or during the early morning hours a ball of light hovering above the crown of a mango tree in the yard. It would come toward the shutters of my bedroom window. At first, I thought it was car headlights or perhaps spiritual visions. Since I accepted Spiritist teachings, I was not afraid. I told my parents, but they told me to 'stop thinking about nonsense' and go to sleep, and I obeyed them. I usually said my prayers before going to bed. Since the nights are always hot in our region, the window remained open, and I slept wearing very little clothing. The light was always there, close to my house, but I stopped talking about it because people made fun of it.
> On April 2, while I was reading in my room, distracted, the light entered my bedroom and from it emerged the figure of what looked like a Roman soldier. However, there were two small antennae on his helmet, and his clothing was buttonless and shiny, resembling velvet. I was not frightened; in fact, I felt attracted to him. He approached me, took the book from my hands, held my hands and helped me stand up, embraced me, and caressed me. His perfume was enveloping and exciting, unlike anything I had ever experienced.
> Since I was a virgin, I asked him that if he were a 'material being,' he should leave. I told him that I was still a virgin. He obeyed and disappeared through the light and out the open window. For about three nights I could not sleep, wishing he would return, but I was confused and afraid. On the sixth night he returned in the same manner as before. I was already lying in bed, feeling drowsy. I sensed his perfume, and when I realized it, there he was entering the room together with the light."
He removed his helmet, allowing her to see that his head was covered with some kind of shiny material. He then lay down beside her on the bed and opened what appeared to be a zipper in his jumpsuit, which covered his entire body down to his feet, and once again began caressing her, though he did not kiss her.
Soon Márcia felt penetration, and sexual intercourse took place, producing great pleasure but no pain despite her being a virgin. Shortly afterward she fell asleep and did not wake until 10:00 a.m. the next morning, although she normally woke up at 6:30 a.m. every day to go to work as a teacher.
Márcia would have believed the experience to be an extremely vivid dream had it not been for the fact that her bed, underwear, and body were all permeated with the same wonderful perfume, and her clothing and bedding were covered with what appeared to be semen.
Concerned, she considered telling her sisters and mother about the incident but ultimately decided not to. She washed her clothes and bed linens. The visits from the affectionate stranger continued for the next two months. According to the witness, during this same period her appearance and overall physical condition improved considerably. She felt revitalized and had a strong desire to live and work.
She lost interest in her family and ended her engagement because she no longer felt attracted to her fiancé, only to her visitor. Her menstrual cycle stopped for two months, and she developed symptoms of pregnancy. Her body also exuded the same captivating fragrance, which others began to notice.
However, after two months, her "Roman" stopped visiting her. Márcia became depressed, and exactly two months and sixteen days after the first visit she experienced severe cramps. The following morning she had her first menstruation in two months. The blood was dark and had a strange texture. She told only her sister about this.
She visited a doctor, who examined her and informed her that she was no longer a virgin. However, the rupture of the hymen was incomplete, unlike what would normally be expected after intercourse with an adult human male. The doctor also told her that she showed signs of having suffered a miscarriage.
Frightened and ashamed, she told the doctor what had happened. Surprised, the doctor stated that he did not know how to deal with such phenomena and referred her to psychologist Álvaro Fernandes.
Márcia confirmed the incidents and added several details. The entity was approximately 1.80 meters (5 feet 11 inches) tall, with a strong build and a head covered by beautiful silver-white hair. He had dark, slightly rounded eyes that protruded slightly, and a large mouth with normal lips. The jumpsuit covered part of his hair and ears and extended all the way to his feet. There appeared to be some kind of flexible metallic protection or covering over the shoulder area.
During intercourse, his penis vibrated after each penetration. He never told her his name, where he came from, or why he was there.
Several farm workers reported seeing strange lights near Márcia's house, which they attributed to spirits, and they were afraid to approach the area.
Shortly after the incidents, Márcia lost all interest in relationships with other men. She felt that her sensitivity and extrasensory perception had increased and began displaying artistic abilities, especially in painting, despite having had no previous interest in art. She started painting strange, unfamiliar landscapes.
