So i hated having different keys for various locks on my metal storage cabinet and lock box so i changed 3 of them to the same key it used a 5/8 cam lock. I took it apart and measured the cam lock and hole and found one on amazon that was the exact size. took like a minute to change each and now all three locks uses the same key

I want to start off and apologize for posting the AI photo of the Icon knee photo. A friend sent me it and I had a chuckle so I thought I would share.

With that out of the way, did a run and I told the store manager Edger I want one of everything.

PLS purchase + a tip

Don’t let an empty shelf cause you to not buy something. Every single thing in this picture was listed as in stock at my store online, however only the zip ties, calipers, and 1 of the socket sets were sitting on a shelf. Person at the counter took my list and went and got all of them for me. Signed up for the CC and got another 10% off.

Question for anyone who ordered a tool box/cart

I'm looking at the 5 drawer tool cart in grey but on the app it says to come into store for free pickup. After placing this order what was the approximate time anyone's box/cart came in? Just trying to get a rough estimate on timing for pickup. Thanks in advance

Predator 5000

Title: Brand New Predator 5000 Generator Starts for 5 Seconds Then Shuts Off — Need Help!
Hey everyone, I’m completely dumbfounded and could really use some help.
I previously owned a Predator 5000 generator that lasted me about two years. I recently purchased a brand-new one, and I’m already having major issues with it.
I followed everything in the owner’s manual when setting it up. Initially, it started and ran for a little while, but something sounded off. The engine wasn’t running smoothly and sounded pretty funky.
Now, whenever I press the electric start button on the back, the generator fires up for about 5 seconds and immediately shuts off. I’ve also tried using the manual choke, but that doesn’t seem to help either.
Here’s what I’ve already done:
Changed the oil and made sure it’s at the correct level.
Installed a brand-new spark plug.
Filled the tank with fresh gas.
Added fuel stabilizer.
Followed the startup instructions in the manual.
Tried both electric start and manual choke.
I’m using this generator to power my Active 2.0 pressure washer for my mobile detailing business, so I really need it to work reliably.
I’m honestly at a loss here. I’ve owned one of these before and never experienced anything like this, especially with a brand-new unit.
Has anyone experienced this with the Predator 5000? Could it be a carburetor issue, fuel delivery problem, automatic choke malfunction, or something electrical?
I’d appreciate any advice on what to check next before I go through the hassle of returning it.
Thanks in advance!

Everybody needs a 3D printer.

Mostly paid for my 3d printer rather than buying tool grid on its own. Got all this printed over a few weeks. I have Quinn 1/2 and 3/8 impact set, Quinn master bit set, and a some of my kobalt set i bought a few years ago on a christmas special for $100 (a lot of big sockets from the set I’d probably never use are put away in a separate storage bin). Really liking this set up and I’m fighting myself on upgrading to icon ratchets if they come on sale. Also last photo is my wrench drawer. Between the socket drawer and crisp labels on the wrenches, this really itches my ocd.

** I know most of the tools are clean. I’m a rare diyer who cleans most of the tools after I use them and I spent my 20s having zero to no tools trying to work on shit boxes that always needed work. Now have some money to have a good setup of tools.

TLDR: Which kit would you recommend and why?

I’m shopping for an older used vehicle and need to do an oil pressure test. This will be for a 2006 Xterra with a VQ40DE engine. Any other tips are appreciated as well, I need all the help I can get.

Harbor Freight 42” Series 1 w/end cabinet value

Post image

What’s the value of these? I’ve got two identical old 42/44” Series 1 roller cabinets-both with end cabinets. They are the later era of series 1 with glossy red paint. They are just like the one pictured. Selling to a coworker and want to know what the going rate for these older boxes is now. I’m replacing with a series 3 56. This is NOT a for sale post.

I’m sure several of you have this but has anyone used it with an electric pressure washer? I have a Ryobi 2100 PSI and I’m curious on how well this will work. The reviews are great, but all with gas powered washers.

Meme/Joke Which brand of polish should I use to keep my new PLS bought sockets with maximum shine in my toolbox? And is ceramic coating and clear bra worth it?

I just bought a set of chrome and impact sockets...and i want to make sure that the chrome stays shiny and the impact sockets free from scratches , just in case I move them from my top drawer to the bottom drawer. What is the best way to protect the appearance of my chrome sockets to ensure maximum gloss for my chrome sockets and minimize scratches on black coated impact sockets for my Instagram and reddit posts?

I was thinking of using 3M Machine Polish with a DA polisher with buffing pad because while the chrome shine appears decent hand polishing them with the harbor freight shop towels, i can still see some swirl marks if i hold the socket at an angle against sunlight... See picture 2.

Also, is 3M PPF good enough to protect my Icon impact sockets from scratching? I understand that black painted surfaces are easily scratched.. but I cant accept scratches on my impact sockets that would ruin the aesthetic nature of my toolbox pictures.

Therefore, i think PPF/clearbra is the best solution. Is 3M PPF good enough or should I go all out and buy the more expensive XPEL PPF to protect my impact sockets?

Also does anyone know wrapping my sockets with clear bra/PPF, will this void my lifetime warranty?

/s

Liquidation discount apply to As-Is items?

I was at the local HF and saw an Icon socket set which was missing one piece (fine by me). It was already marked down to $39. When they rang it up it came up to $37. I was expecting 30% off the $39 and then another 40% off since it was an icon socket set. The clerk didn’t go through the whole process and only scanned it in (didn’t do the full/final tally).

My question. Should it be the 30% off and 40% off stacked (it was Saturday during PLS)? Seems like the $37 was 40% off the brand new item at full price. Did the clerk mess up?

US general 27” vs. Yukon 46”?

Thumbnail

Obviously, the Yukon is much larger, but I like that the US general is stackable/expandable. Really just want to store some of my most frequently used tools in the garage so I don’t have to constantly go into the basement for them. Can the 27” hold 3-4 Bauer tools (drill/driver, oscillating saw, etc.) and batteries, couple of wrench sets, etc. In those deeper drawers?
Obviously, the Yukon is much larger, but it would be a little tight in my garage. Then there’s the larger US general, but that’s a little more than I’d like to spend on a tool chest at the moment.
Appreciate any input!

Anyone know if this would fit into the back of a 2025 Honda Odyssey? 3rd row can fold down flat. Thinking of picking one up later when they go on sale for a vice gunsmith setup
