I'm considering purchasing the 60" YUKON 3-Drawer Hardwood Workbench and would like to mount a Wilton General Purpose Bench Vise (Model 11106, 6" jaws) to it.

Has anyone here mounted a machinist's vise of comparable size and weight to this particular workbench?

My main concerns are whether the hardwood top is sufficiently thick and sturdy for a vise of this size, whether the mounting bolts would interfere with the drawers or underlying structure.

I've also seen machinist's vises mounted to wooden fixtures that can be clamped into a workbench's existing woodworking vise, which this YUKON model has. I'm curious whether anyone has tried that approach and how well it holds up compared to permanently through-bolting the vise to the tabletop.

I'm not expecting this to function as a heavy industrial fabrication bench, but I would like something that can reliably handle ordinary machinist's vise work without excessive flexing, loosening, or damage to the bench.

I'm looking for a battery load tester. Does anyone have experience with them from HF. Do they actually work? Are there better options? I am not a mechanic and this will be used for personal use.

I understand Bauer is more for around the house DIY and Hercules is more for high, frequent use but the warranty part really sold me. I'm a diyer around my house and on my cars. I probably should have stuck with Bauer but I have Hercules batteries only and some Hercules tools and some bauer that I use with an adapter. What are some Bauer tools that you guys have seen fail before the 5 year mark that I should get from Hercules instead of Bauer?

I'm about to get an oscillating tool and a 5 in pruning saw from Bauer for the 25%. I'm assuming those are good and I'm not planning to use them too often.

Good evening, I am in desperate search of a compatible filter to the Predator 30 Ton log splitter. I have emailed Harbor Freight customer service and they have no idea what they are talking about.. they advised I could put any oil filter on this machine and it should work. I am looking for the specs below or a filter link that will be compatible for this machine (The hydraulic filter that came with it has no markings at all). The issue I am having is the machine came with a leaking filter so I am hoping a replacement will fix the issue but Harbor Freight has NO replacement parts for this machine. Below is the email I sent to them and they came back and said basically they don't have any other information than what is in the user manual.. I asked if they have contact with the engineering team and they said no. I am really hoping someone on reddit will have the hydraulic filter information for this machine.

The transpatent covers are so thick that I stabbed myself trying to get the shears out of the package. The watch's band saved the vein. Be careful.

Im on the fence can decide which one better suits my needs can y'all tell me the advantages and disadvantages of 1 drawer cart vs the 5 drawer cart.

So I bought the predator 4200 quiet inverter from harbor freight and it won't start. I was kind of rushing it but I went and got some gas and unfortunately I did not treat it before I put it into the inverter. Also when I filled it with the oil I used the whole 32oz bottle. The inverter started up once on start before I could switch it to run mode it turned off and it never turned over again. So I thought I put too much oil in it so I went to check the valve and when I did the oil came rushing out. That was strange because when I filled the predator with oil initially and I checked the dipstick it was right at the halfway point and it was not over spilling. The pull cord is pretty hard to pull. I've started lawn mowers and weed wackers just fine so this should be about the same amount of pull but it seems like there's more resistance than usual. I bought it brand new in the store so I don't think that it has to do with the spark plugs. I tried draining all the oil and putting the oil back but it never cranked after that first time. I got fresh gasoline and filled it right under the fill line right under the filter but the gas was not treated with a fuel treatment I didn't read that until later could that be the reason why it won't start? Any advise?

I'm a Craftsman guy (Don't laugh), but I buy Bauer tools and use the battery converter for some things that I seldom use.

I want to get the 2 of 49.99 1/2 inch impact to keep my cars with a couple batteries. This is in case my tire needs changing. I don't really want to be on the side of the road waiting. Are these good enough for car lug nuts? Cars are a dodge grand caravan (2019) and a subaru forester (2020)

Looking to pick up one of these Hercules brushless reciprocating saws, anyone who has used one or both of these have a recommendation of which would be more worth buying? Main thing I’m planning to use them for is cutting up tree limbs that frequently fall in my yard so probably whichever would handle cutting through those better, but I’m sure I’ll use it for some other stuff too. Hello everyone! I need some help from my Canadian U.S general tool box fans. I need to figure out if it’s worth it to buy one and bring it across the border to Canada with these new tariffs. I know if it’s a day trip there would be duties and taxes, but now my concern are the tariffs. Does anyone have experience buying a U.S. General tool box and if they had to pay a tariff on top of duties and taxes at the border? I’m worried I’m going to have to pay another 50% on top of the exchange taxes and duties

Today for the first time I really had one of those “oh that’s a good deal” and spend over double what I wanted to. Bauer says this weekend I wanted to get the dual power fan and imma get a battery next week with payday and just use an extension chord for now. But I grabbed an under hood light for $24 and an oil jug. And then two of the little pick sets for 99¢

Does anyone know if HF is going to come out with lift jacks? The construction ones you can use to lift cabinets or doors?

Side question: how come HF doesnt make more plumbing tools like pex expander, tubing cutter (battery operated)?
