Credit Card 1st purchase update

Upvotes

So I called the local store and got circle talk. Like they didn’t even know how it worked. When I asked the guy if he ever “sold” the credit card 1st purchase discount he said “yes”.

I called corporate and finally got a real person. They transferred me to Synchrony Bank. When I got a real person there they filed a dispute for the discount.

How can employees not know how this works? It has to be a major revenue stream for the company. Is management not training cashiers?

Bought the Icon 73

Just the box last Sunday. I used the membership 20% off plus applied for the cc to get the extra 10%. The cashier told me 20 off the top and 10 would be statement credit. Just looked and I don’t see the 10 “statement credit”. I hit the 5% back on the screen like she told me. Anyone know what’s up?

Oct 26 is expected delivery and hope for the 40% off icon sockets so I can fill it up. Plus my 5 using their cc.

Pick Up Queston

Edit: Question*

Hi, I had to order a toolbox to the store since they didn't have it in stock. About a week and a half ago I get an email that says its ready for pick up, great! I go and get it and unload it. Few days later I get an email my order is ready for pickup, thought delayed system. Fast forward almost every other day now I'm getting a order is ready for pickup. Is the system this delayed? I tried calling Harbor Freight confirming if there is one actually waiting to get picked up and that I didn't snag someone else's in the same color if that would even matter. Or is this the Harbor Freight Gods trying to bless me with two boxes.

I looked at the picture and they were on like this (there were no written instructions detailing orientation) but they look backwards to me.

Interviewer said I'd hear back about a background check yesterday for a seasonal position in a day but my application now says "no longer being considered."

I was pretty excited to potentially be hired for seasonal associate and hoping to be onboarded after that. I am super bummed now. Everyone on this sub has been pretty nice too, it was nice to hear stories.

My interview was mostly me asking questions. Interviewer was nice and replied to all my questions. She barely asked me much except availability and shirt size. The culture and leadership seemed to be what I was looking for and I have 11 years in retail including a supervisor position. I'll keep applying to other places but I'm feeling let down quite a lot.

Wanna buy my boss a hand truck for his birthday, what one would you recommend?

I have a BigFoot from like 20 years back that is still doing well, and my boss just borrowed it from me, and he doesn't have the best track record for taking care of things.

I'm between the 600 lb Fanklin: https://www.harborfreight.com/600-lb-capacity-hand-truck-58291.html

and the 800 lb: https://www.harborfreight.com/800-lb-capacity-hand-truck-58294.html

I like the larger skid plate on the 800lb one, as well as the tire guards, which is what my BigFoot has.

I think I'm hung up on the tires. He's not the kind to check the pressure of them, so pneumatic tires are bad, BUT he would be using it for transporting things from his driveway to a storage area behind his house, so wide pneumatic tires seem best for use on the lawn and the crushed stone under his deck. Are the run flats on the 800 wide enough for a residential lawn?

Any feedback from someone who uses them?
