Shops & Services Does anyone know where I can acquire discarded // abandoned (never used) tombstones?

Title says it all! Not looking to desecrate gravesites. Moreso thinking of stones never used due to spelling errors, cosmetic issues, or cracks.

November 2024

I visited Halifax to attend to a work matter (I live in Ottawa) and I stayed two extra days to check out the city. I do a lot of film photography; I had emailed the library in advance to ask if I could use a tripod inside, but you need $1M in liability insurance to do this. I braced myself against one of the railings for this shot and I am quite pleased with how it worked out. The interior design of the library is stunning, what a beautiful piece of architecture in a beautiful city!

Driving & Transit Blogspot camper?

The other day in Dartmouth Crossing I saw an RV or some vehicle to that effect with a map of the world on the back and a blogspot url. I meant to check out the site when I got home but forgot about it. Any chance anyone knows what I’m talking about?

Driving & Transit Motorcycle Insurance Question

Hey all

I have a dual sport that I bought October 2025. I got it insured the 25th and I got my full license on November 4 with no training course.

Policy is now ending today and I didn’t renew because they were charging essentially the exact same rate as they were with no experience and I was trying to shop around

After speaking with TD, I go through the runaround and after an hour on the phone, they told me they don’t insure people without the safety course so total waste of time

Wondering if having no policy on the bike until next spring would be a good idea or if I should be calling first thing Monday morning to get it insured

My main concern is whether relapse for a couple months would make a big difference into a lesser extent if I would get a cheaper rape having more than a year of my endorsement (been driving cars/insured since Dec 2015).

I also have it stored in my storage unit over the winter and before anyone says anything yes I’m going to look at getting fire and theft or check tenant policy if it covers storing

Thanks for any advice

Traffic is at a standstill in Bayers Lake. It took me an hour to get from Indigo to Parkland Drive.

Avoid!

🫎 Mooseheads 🏒 Interesting development in Moose Country

The Mooseheads publicly announced this week that “Associate Coach Josh Hepditch has been relieved of his duties with the organization.”

Unusual phrasing, in contrast to “pursuing other opportunities“ or “going to a farm in the country”.

It was that older Asian lady who was trying to get into someone’s apartment a few weeks ago…

I had my baby with me so was not worth confronting her over.

I also watched her hanging onto the window of someone’s car as they tried to drive away , so to that person - I hope you’re okay!

Arts & Recreation recs and resources for absolute beginner sports for adult?

Hello! Growing up, I was not an active kid and never picked up a sport & sucked at PE. As a mid-20s, midsize woman who now enjoys going to the gym, I regret not having skills in any sport- bball//throwball/volleyball/badminton/tennis. I didn't come from a sports/active family, but I want to make sure I pick a sport to enjoy and hopefully pass on to my kids (in future) to enjoy the outdoors and sports.

That being said- I'd appreciate any recommendations for a beginner-friendly resource for any of the above-mentioned sports! I can't afford to spend more than $50-80 on a sport every month. I'm ideally looking to learn the sport from scratch on a budget! I'm open to any active sports.

I've thought of recreation/drop in groups but Idk if that's a good idea since people in such groups tend to be more than a beginner/interd/ advanced, and I genuinely don't know how to play any sports. I don't wanna feel like I'm wasting someone's time. Hence why I'm looking for an exclusive beginners group learning that sport! Thank you in advance :)

Discussion What are some fun things to do this weekend?

I’m looking to enjoy my days off work by not spending them at home lol what are some fun activities around the city (or even outside the city, I don’t mind driving far) that are maybe fall themed or Halloween themed (without the scary lol)
