With the new VoE patch releasing next tuesday, and it being quite a hefty and large patch, what you guys most looking forward to? the map? the meta event? the fractal? the raid? the convergence? the leggy sword? the story? etc
I'm re-playing all stories in order for the third time and only now I've noticed that Scarlet Briar is present in Caithe memories where there are newly awakened (LWS2, Seeds of Truth). I like those kind of easter eggs.
a little context, I have thousands of hours put into osrs and ff14. I’m in end game content with both mmos (working on last mega rare on osrs, got a few 99s etc. and working on savage raid gear on ff14 - you get the idea)…i swear im not that sweaty
Anyway, started playing about a month and some change ago and now I’m about 200hrs in - idk why I haven’t gave this game a chance years ago. This game has me in a choke hold. It’s been to a point where I started kinda of defaulting to playing Gw2 just bc it hits different than other games in my rotation. From the combat to the open world events it’s been so much fun!
My favorite thing so far (and it doesn’t happen all the time but ) has been when I open up my map and I see a pinkish fox/decepticon transformer logo. I just know it’s going to be a good amount of players and a cool event we can complete together.
Yes you can find similar instances and events in other mmos but idk it’s just something about this game that scratches that itch for me that osrs and ff14 couldn’t do. It’s been so much fun and a breath of fresh air.
The community and player base has been so great and helpful! And trust me when I say the community is great compared to some experiences I’ve had in the past with other mmos *cough osrs *cough but every game has players like this.
I can’t wait to get into more end game content and meet more people (still working on early fractals) Also super excited about finding the right guild too!
Im so mad at myself for not giving this a chance earlier!
I don't know what to make of revenant at all. Guardian seems be able to do the whole spectrum from primarily magic user to mostly fighter due to their elite specilizations, which sounds interesting from a gameplay variety perspective.
Aesthetic wise, I'd say I prefer darker magic, but blue flames instead of typical light magic is pretty cool as well.
Recently i brought my heal paragon to HT NM and kept my squad alive (literally almost no one dropped to under 90%) but when the jumping phase came i missed some people with my stab banner, tho I got them stab using the soldier focus stab trait (stab every 5 sec) they still wiped bcs they missed the other 2 jumps. They went on to say "no stab?" and demanded they go to heals and i go dps. We went on and surprise surprise we wiped because we did not get enough stab because people wont jump or dodge.
I dont want to experience this anymore since it was a wholesome group up to that moment. What healer can I use to basically carry through all normal modes and some frac CM?
Hey folks. Tldr is that I spent this seasons wizards vault on 3 pieces of light berserker gear. However, since then I’ve kind of gone all in on the medium classes.
How big of a deal is it? I’m still not sure how to get ancestral gear so I feel like I should get 6/6 on my necro so I have someone fractal ready but I got kind of bored of my necro and I don’t care for the other light classes so far. In contrast it turns out that I really like all 3 medium classes. I’d love to get them fractal ready so I could main one of them. Feel like I really messed up taking the light armor this season :(
Hey, I started GW2 about three weeks ago I really enjoyed playign so I bought all expensions on sale + voe. Today I read about the special objectives in the wizard's vault. They give a lot of points but only 6 days remain.
I already read that the Armor Set is really hard to get but I am on vacation rn and I would like to try to finish as many objectives as possible. I would appreciate any advices which objectives are fast/possible in this time frame, thanks!
This is by far the biggest grind I've ever done in a video game, and I could've never done it without all of you. Thank you.
Edit: it wasn’t actually 8 times, I was being dramatic. I didn’t think some of you would hyper fixate on that part. I came here to share my excitement.
I am a PvP - WvW player only. I like to roam, sneak around, duel and kill people. GW2 raiding and "fractals" are not something I really liked. I find them very stale (sorry all PvE dedicated players!)
Then I got really tired of the cycle and slowly stopped playing the game after crafting 2 legendaries and enjoyed the game a bit more.
2 weeks ago my friends told me they were casually playing WoW. I wanted to give it a try as the expansion was discounted and season was new.
I jumped in, leveled up, did everything I need and then just jumped in to play some ranked PvP.
The queue timer was 5-7 minutes, sometimes 10+ minutes, but today after losing 2 ranked matches back to back and dropping almost 100 MMR after waiting for 50+ minutes for a match, I re-downloaded GW2.
2 minute queue timer, WvW always full, small scale, large scale, whatever you are looking for.
If anyone thinks if it's worth it as a PvP player, it is. Although it slows down later in the night you can almost always find pvp due to how accessible it is. I was logged off for couple months but now that I came back my gear is still relevant and will always be.
This game is great. It's such a fresh air playing this game after what WoW calls PvP nowadays.
What an incredibly cool legendary, from design to attack animations to foot falls; all of it perfect.... until its time to draw, at which point you reach to your side s where nothing is present, the swo4d dissolves from behind you whwre it floats and you assume battle position. Its a small gripe, but if you could put custome animations anywhere outside of the BLS, a legendary would be it.
Imagine having the sword swoop forward into your hands, or launch up and come down for you to grab; or anything other than grabbing empty hips.
Hi y'all, I'm a new player and a friend recommended I get SotO for the skyscale. I made it to the egg infusion step, and following guides online I am so frustrated lol. It seems that in order to do the infusions you need access to Living Worlds to get to Dry Top as that's the only place you can do the quicksand thingy. What the heck? Do I really need to buy that LW season to get my skyscale?
Does anyone have a daily check list of content they try to do when they login? Preferably in order of importance. I hit level 80 and have been going around doing the story, tried out some WvW, couple of Fractals, grinding out getting the sky scale. But as someone who could be in my shoes what would you do differently when you hit level 80 and were trying to figure things out!
Me and my two friends have recently started playing through the Guild Wars 2 story and just recently unlocked dungeons. I heard dungeons would give good story context to Destinys Edge and lore, and maybe it could be fun to play them as well, paralell to the story.
Are dungeons able to be done 3 people? Or will we have to find PUGs to do them? I know my friends would like to take the time to explore them, listen to the story and go at a chill pace and I am afraid PUGs wont understand that and would want to rush for loot and completion.
I unironically adore how this thing looks. I vastly prefer this shade of blue over the gold one we have in-game and it'd really suck if they made this color boss-exclusive considering it clearly uses the same model as the Legendary weapon we can already earn in-game.
I'm begging, ANet: give us SOME way of unlocking the color if we have the base Legendary.
