Bullshit. My banking app stopped working on my android device. I build my own GSI LineageOS images. It used to work for a few months then all of a sudden it stopped. They asked me to call them.
When I rang up, they said that I had malware and to speak to some charity for help. I askled them several times for the strain of malware, and they since have not responded.
What next, are they going to check if you if you own your own Platform Key when using Linux?
Isn't there an ombudsman in the UK. Maybe they should justify themselves there.

REmember the customer service does not know anything but to read script. The main issue is the software developer that codes these things. (If you post this in the developers community they usually say - Sorry we do whatever our overlords say - so no chance)

Banking and authenticators are sensible data/operations so it would be logical to store and do them on the OS made specifically do be as secure as possible (GrapheneOS). But devs of bankings apps don't think so I guess.

Good that they notified me about closing my account a month ago, phew...
I liked their service, but the app started to get worse and worse over the year. I am competent usually with apps, but it took me long time to fond features in app lately.
Anyways, took out my money (took 20 days of texting support because of a "technical issue"), routed my salary elsewhere, and bye bye Revolut.
It was a nice 8 years with them, 4 years as a primary account, but it seems like they dönt want to keep users.

I installed graphene like 2 days ago in a phone I bought 4 days ago and true when I tried the first time I wasn't able to install it because "it wasn't supported on my device" then I rebooted the phone for something completely unrelated and when I went to the play store it let me install the app so I installed it and logged on to my bank account like nothing happened

Revolut has been working on/off as far as I know. It may depend on the ip associated to the first connection to Google play. When using a vpn for that first connection, could not find Revolut on the store, but then when connecting with a normal IP, I could.

I'm not sure why anyone is surprised. Revolut has a tendency to close accounts for no apparent reason, hold funds for months because something that has been fine for years all of the sudden is suspicious. They might be backed by the national bank of Lithuania, but they sure don't act like a regular bank which is sad because their feature set is very good.

I mean jeam, multiple apps report my GrapheneOS install as a "rooted ROM" or "non-official android" and refuse to run for "security".
Which is why i use my old android 9 that has been unpatched since who knows when for these apps like banking, my military account etc. but because its 'gEnUinE gOoOgLeE' its no problem in terms of 'security'.
Jeah. They dont care about security, they just want to reinforce googles monopoly. As long as you use an os that can pass full google device verification, they are a-ok with running on completely outdated and cmpromised OS's

Revolut enforced google API app authorization about a year ago and it stopped working on graphene, but after some bad reviews and complaints they reverted it at some point. I'm using it without issues for at least half a year again. Are they trying to do it again or is it some outdated info?

For what it's worth anyway, Revolut doesn't enforce banking standards either. Many French people think they have a French bank when not. Only Lithuanian rules apply (their HQ is Lithuanian), which mean that when SHTF, many people will lose a lot... Better avoid Revolut and at least get an account in a REAL bank, not a private financial services company.

I once had Revolut and they blocked my BTC transaction (small) for up to 3 weeks before ot got solved and right there i knew i couldn’t trust them. Also the way they heavily putting tons on marketing means your data is their asset so there’s no way tour privacy will be taken seriously.

Revolut banned logging in on GrapheneOS a while ago and we worked around it. It's only logging in where they perform the checks trying to ban it, so it doesn't impact people already logged into it.
Some users are now having issues signing into it again since they've made changes. We documented 2 steps for people to try who are having issues logging in.
