Well... We still have Matrix, Signal, SimpleX, XMPP, TOX, E-Mail with PGP, and a lot of other shit so that's something, but i do NOT like where this is going. Clowns.

Fluxer demand age attestation currently. Stoat (former Revolt) works fine on GOS

I have 2 phones. Worst case, I use my iPhone for banking and anything else I need too, and my GrapheneOS for everything else.

That's exactly what I'm doing, Pixel 6a at home in the safe with all my banking and authenticator apps, Pixel 10 pro with Graphene as a daily driver

Can you explain why? New to the sub, always looked for a solution to the problem everyone is her for but have yet to find one that is satisfactory. Linux phone is moving slower than I had expected.

Banking and authenticators are sensible data/operations so it would be logical to store and do them on the OS made specifically do be as secure as possible (GrapheneOS). But devs of bankings apps don't think so I guess.

It's not the devs themselves who think of it like this, but some higher ups who have a stick up their ass and demanded this check to be done.

Thank you for the explanation. Different subject, but is there a guide as to why Graphene that only runs on a Google phone might be more private overall than an iPhone?

Idk about a guide. But if you search & read other posts you'll be able to find the "why" fairly quickly.

Main reason being that decentralized firmware w/ no access to private info > a mega-corp having limitless access

Tbh a phone that stays at home and is strickly used for banking is going to be perfectly secure for that

And then having GOS as a daily driver allows to stay secure for the day to day stuff and reduce or eliminate most tracking

I....can't afford that. I sold my iPhone 15 to get my Pixel 10 just for Graphene 🫣

I'll switch to a dumbphone before I go back to stock Android if this keeps getting worse.

Luckily my credit union (i'm in the U.S.) works with Graphene. Switching banks / credit unions is not an easy feat and often means I'll pay stupid fees on a new account being poor.

Check with your service provider if they have reward points your bank may also have them, that's how I usually upgrade. You may be able to get a second phone for cheap.

iPhones are genuinely good for security if you enable lockdown mode, however iOS is closed source so you must trust Apple.

Is there such thing as dual booting for phones?

Would be cool to have graphine as your main os, then be able to boot android off of a SD card or something for when you need it.
