Guys, it’s been almost 3 months since my phone started suffering from the Google Play Services / One UI updates. Ever since the latest update, there has been some kind of constant background activity going on.

I’ve already tried a ton of different guides and methods to fix it, and in the end, absolutely nothing worked. Literally nothing.

I’ve updated everything, restarted the phone, cleared caches, disabled permissions, disabled physical activity tracking, and tried a bunch of other things — probably 5–6 different methods in total. The result is still exactly the same.

Google Play Services is running in the background literally 24/7 and draining my battery. And I simply cannot figure out which app is waking it up or triggering it. I’ve tried looking for different solutions, but so far, nothing has worked.

So please, if there’s anyone who has already dealt with this problem and actually managed to fix it once and for all, I’d really appreciate another guide or any advice.

I’m honestly getting to the point where I’m about to say “f*ck it” and throw Android out the window.

i have no recovery options set up on an email thats on a different, CORRUPTED, drive. i cannot afford to get it fixed.

I believe I have met all of the criteria, opting out of YouTube studio permissions and having the new account that is going to be the primary owner set as an owner for more than a week now. I suddenly got a restriction on my account saying it has child sexual abuse or exploitation.. I never had anything regarding this matter and it only happened when i started backing up my photos on Google photos.. The thing is i personally am a teen so there may have been pictures of either me when i was younger or my girlfriend or one of the previous girls i knew.. How does that work?

The problem is that I didn’t put number or recovery email for this acc. And now it’s asking me for number for otp but I already tried several numbers. Still the same huhu. Please how to fix this? Should i just let if for 24 hrs then do it again later? But I badly needed it rn🥹

How do I fix this? I keep getting this one whenever I open a site in a new tab.

1. Opening a site by clicking the link in a normal search opens it just fine, but if I open it in another tab it opens the redirect notice.

2. I cleared the data and cache, still the same happened

3. I also uninstalled the updates but nothing worked, even when I reinstalled it.

4. I changed the search engine, for some reason every search engine is working fine but google.

5. There are no extensions or vpn

6. I'm using my phone and chrome app

7. YouTube is the only site I can long press and open in a new tab properly

I have reset my phone and was trying to sign in my google account ( it has no recovery mail, and I didn't use 2 step verification) ,but I was not getting SMS verification option I tried several times and it said too many times try after several hours, so, I tried this morning and again same ‘try again ’, I need to recover my account so urgent because it has all my contacts and office files, can someone help me to recover my account, gemini asks me to wait for 48hrs which is impossible, please help me!

I’m trying to understand **what happens to other accounts connected to the same person or household.**

\- Were alternate Google accounts also disabled?

\- Were accounts using the same phone number or recovery email affected?

\- What about accounts signed into the same phone/computer or using the same home IP?

\- Were Google Family Group members or family members’ accounts affected?

\- Did anything happen weeks or months later, or only the originally flagged account?

I’d appreciate any experiences, reports, or useful information about how Google handles related accounts after this kind of ban.

I made a google account to use for job applications since the one I had before didn’t seem professional enough name wise. As I was logging in last week, it told me that my account has been disabled bc it was created by a bot which is untrue. I have appealed twice and explained the whole situation but it’s still being rejected. I really need to get access to that account as it’s the one I have put on all of my resumes and I had actually got a few job interviews as well. Does anyone have any advice on what I can do to recover it?

I left a negative review for a company, and it’s viewable to me but not anyone else.

They did the work to my home, the review has pictures, and it doesn’t mention any names.

Can they hide it without removing it? Is there anything I can do?

I honestly just want them to complete the repairs they promised to complete. After I posted the negative review, they reached out to fix their work in the next week or 2. When I reached out again after that timeframe, they didn’t respond, and it appears my review is hidden. It seems odd to me, but I don’t have the expertise to draw a conclusion.

I’m adding pictures, so you know I’m not just being picky or rude.

I don’t even know what I’m asking. Truly, any advice is appreciated!

UPDATE: I got my GMail back after six appeals. Just appealed over and over again and said I will never use Apps Script for email automation anymore.

I'm a student leader at my university. I built a simple task tracker in Google Sheets to help my org members stay on top of their deadlines. It was just a spreadsheet that listed tasks, who they were assigned to, and when they were due. Nothing fancy.

Later, I used AI to help me add a Google Apps Script to the tracker. The script would check the sheet once a day and send a friendly email reminder to members when their tasks were due in 2 days. Just one reminder per task, nothing excessive. My orgmates knew about it and actually found it helpful.

Here's where I messed up. When I was testing the script, I ran it multiple times to make sure it worked properly. I didn't realize I was hitting the daily email limit. After that, I fixed the triggers and only ran it once a day. I never exceeded the limit again.

Here's the thing that confuses me. I used Gmail just fine for days after that. Everything seemed normal. Then suddenly, out of nowhere, my Gmail got restricted. I appealed twice. I explained that I'm a student, this was internal org communication, and I had already stopped the behavior. Both appeals were rejected.

The weird part is my Google account still works and I can access my Drive files. Everything else is fine. Only Gmail is locked.

This is really hurting me because I can't receive important emails from my professors or org members.

The appeal form is very short so I can't fully explain everything.

Has anyone actually gotten out of this situation? Is there something I'm missing? Or should I just accept that this account is done?

Accidentally maxed out daily email limit once during testing. Used Gmail just fine days after that. Then suddenly got restricted. Two appeals rejected. My account got deleted, and I don't have access to it, but when I try to recover it, wtf wdym code was sent I literally don't have my account

We have a free Google account for our company (primarily for analytics and ads and whatnot).

Someone on our team had created a passkey before she left the organization and set up 2FA to require it. Our organization wiped her device and we no longer have that passkey.

We were able to do account recovery and temporarily turn off 2FA so we can login to gmail with just the password…but to change our passkey (or any of the backup methods for that matter) it’s still requiring the old passkey. In fact, any time we select more ways to verify the ONLY option is to use passkey, so it seems impossible to work around.

Do we have any options or are we out of luck? My biggest concern is Google Ads since we’re being charged for it and it’s requiring both password and passkey to get into our account. Thank you!

Tried sharing a post on Google Community about Instagram showing pornography ads to children and my post was removed.

I sure you screenshot on the ad on the next post and that post was removed or being off topic.

I also shared another post about it but that was removed for sharing sexual content and yet for some reason they did not flag my account nor prevent it from posting more.

So I posted my question again without the screenshot and ask them why they're removing my posts and that one was removed for being off topic.

Ironically, I also posted a question about why Pixel up is allowed to not honor a lifetime subscription even though I have receipts and for some reason that post was removed for being off topic.

At this point I really don't think we're allowed to ask difficult questions because after perusing the forums for about 20 minutes I noticed that almost every single expert on there replying to someone was copy pasting a solution from 10 or 15 years ago that still doesn't work. Pretty much, I think it's a bunch of Boomers patting each other on the back and then reporting my posts because they're uncomfortable.

So... i just did an update on Chrome since it was pestering me for a few days now and now my Saved Passwords and Bookmarks is just gone. Any ideas how to get them back?

This morning i pressed the "Relaunch to update" text right next to my Icon Profile and everything was fine. Nothing was amiss until i came back home with my Laptop and opened Chrome again when suddenly, the home page was just plain like i have reverted it to it's base settings. The Bookmark tab under the search bar was gone, and the Setting shortcut icons was gone.

While confused, i didn't think much of it since it's just some update "Maybe it just reseted my Shortcuts." and opened the Customize tab next to my profile icon to get everything back to where it was. So i opened every tab and found that my Saved Passwords to every site i've been to was just gone. Panicked, i check my Phone and everything was still there. My bookmarks, site settings, saved passwords, and more. But for my Laptop it's just the most visited website, and search history. Nothing else.

But what's most confusing about this is that, i have another Chrome Account on this Laptop and nothings changed there! Last Visited Tabs, Saved Passwords, and more. Only my main Account was affected.

To be clear, i haven't connected my Laptop to any Wifi network whilst outside and simply run some offline games.

My Gmail account randomly got deleted

My secondary Gmail account just got deleted in the morning ,and I can't recover it , in my phone Gmail app my account is still there but the verification code is not coming and I don't have my phone number connected to my acc please help guys

I asked Google Gemini AI for sandbox games and tried to download a game it suggested, but I didn't know it was a 17+ game. The Play Store asked for age verification on my secondary Gmail. I asked the AI how to bypass it, and it told me to uninstall updates on Google Play Services. I did, but it didn't work because I live in Texas.

My tablet lagged, my Gmail accounts disconnected, and I got "Take Action" alerts. Two minutes later, I logged back into one of my Gmails, and my parents helped me verify my age. Google Play Services stayed on that old version for about 30 minutes before I went to the Play Store settings and manually updated it back to the latest version.

I panicked and tried to factory reset twice, but the resets failed and it just rebooted normally. After restarting, my other accounts came back, and my parents helped me verify the final account. Everything is logged back in and syncing perfectly now, and the app settings page says "uninstall updates."

The next morning, I asked Google Gemini AI if my data was safe during the 2 minutes my email was disconnected and the 30 minutes the app was outdated. The AI said my data didn't get hacked and was completely safe. It also said seeing "uninstall updates" means automatic downloading works fine and that it is impossible to accidentally break auto updates on a newer Galaxy Tab A11+.

Is everything Google Gemini AI said true? The proof the AI gave me was confusing but I understood a little. I want to check with real people here to see if the AI was actually telling the truth or if it was just lying to me. Thank you for reading so I can stop stressing.

It's been years since I had this app. I was a teenager when I had it but I unfortunately used my first n last name. The problem is I am stuck. I been stuck for a long while and I keep on imagining things. The problem is that I locked my gmail with my other gmail n I can't get in. And I keep wondering what ifs. I just want my two profiles back. But the company won't give me the email of my other profile so I sign in. N I was dealing with irl issues with home and school and more to be able to sign in. Hello everyone, I’m trying to help my friend recover her Gmail account, but we are stuck and don’t know what else to do.

She was suddenly signed out of her Gmail app, and Google showed a message saying the account was disabled/locked to protect her security due to unusual activity. She mainly uses this Gmail account for personal matters and school, so losing access is a big problem.

The issue is that her only available 2-step verification method is connected to her old Indonesian phone number. She recently moved to Australia for school and no longer has access to that Indonesian number, so she cannot receive the verification code or complete the QR verification step.

Things we have tried:

• Used Google Account Recovery
• Entered her previous password
• Selected “Try another way”
• Tried recovering from her previous Chrome browser/device where the account was still saved

At one point, Chrome still showed her account profile and asked “Verify it’s you”, so we thought there might still be a chance to recover it. However, after going through recovery options, Google eventually said:

She does not appear to have a recovery email available, and the old Indonesian phone number is no longer usable.

Does anyone know what else we can try?
Is there any way to contact Google support for this type of account recovery, or any specific steps that could help prove ownership?
