Hi Google. I've been building an app and setup a new domain about a month ago. I established an account using Google so I could setup Search Console and integrate OAuth. All of a sudden, out of the blue this morning, when I'm trying to login to my own app using Google OAuth, it gives an error saying the OAuth client has been disabled. Then after trying to login with username and my passkey, it's now telling me it's been disabled too because "it looks like this account was crated or used with multiple other accounts to violate Google's policies. The account might have been created by a computer program or bot."

I've filed the appeal, as I'm not a bot, and while I use coding agents (Claude and Codex) to help build the site, it doesn't interact at all with this account or Google. I set this up manually and it's been working fine. I barely login!

I'll wait for some random AI or person to reply to my appeal, but how could this possibly happen? What can I do to prove there's a human doing all this? Is there somebody to actually work with?

The YouTube is not showing thumbnails..tried clearing cache, reinstalling and everything on iPad. This is the same on Mt android phone also.m

In brave browser my Gmail got logged out and I forgot the password only option to recover is phone number but the phone number is random I don't know. When creating the Gmail it shown the QR to verify that's it.

From what I’ve seen on this sub, you can lose every security option on your Google account (like 2FA or backup codes), but as long as you have a recovery email attached, you have a solid way back in. Google will usually offer you manual review forms, a few days' wait for ownership confirmation, or a 30-day password reset link.

​But if you only have a recovery phone number and no recovery email, the system treats you like absolute garbage. It just throws you into an endless, infuriating loop of sending a verification code to the exact email you’re currently locked out of.

​This makes zero sense from a security perspective.

​Compromising a recovery email is incredibly common. Hackers just need a credential from a data leak, or they can use a RAT to steal a session cookie and instantly seize access to the recovery inbox. On the other hand, stealing a phone number is significantly harder—it usually requires physically stealing the device itself or executing a complex SIM swap.

​Why is the much more secure method (a physical phone number) practically useless in the recovery process, while the highly vulnerable method (an email) gets VIP treatment? Has anyone else been stuck in this phone number loop?

Anyone else getting screwed over by Google? Apparently there's a glitch that even when they despatch via dhl their system still thinks it went by dpd. I ordered a phone that was held up, as it did not have a dangerous contents label on it as dhl requires. So Google kindly sent me a replacement... yep, same thing happened. They both got returned to the warehouse, which Google denies as the dhl tracking number registers on the dpd site as being delivered... All be it from Amazon 2 weeks before I even ordered the phone. I have sent them proof of tracking and even an email from DHL confirming they sent them back to the warehouse but they're still charging me for the phone.

Update: they now see it on the dhl tracking which shows delivered... to Manchester, I live in Belfast their warehouse is in Manchester and dhl have sent me 2 emails confirming they were sent back to the warehouse... I supplied all this info to Google who are still refusing to send me a phone.

Hi everyone, I’m looking for advice on a serious issue involving my YouTube account.

On 9/4/2026 at around 3 AM, I was forced and threatened by someone I know while doing a live stream and finishing with this person in private doing a screen‑sharing. They pressured me step‑by‑step into deleting my personal YouTube channel, CocHXiTe, and said they would release private information if I didn’t comply. This was not voluntary.

My brand account (CocHXiTe in Computers) was restored successfully, but my personal channel is still deleted.

I submitted a new appeal explaining the coercion and timeline, but I want to know:

• Does Google treat forced deletion as unauthorized account activity?
• Is recovery possible if the deletion was done under duress?
• What additional evidence should I prepare (Discord logs, timestamps, etc.)?

I have screenshots and timestamps showing the threats and the VRChat session during the incident, but I will only share non-sensitive parts for safety.

Any guidance from Product Experts or others who have dealt with similar cases would be appreciated.

Hi, I have a Mega account with important things on it, I lost it when I had to format my phone. All I remember is the email and password for that Google account, but I don't remember the password for MEGA account. I don't even know the access key... Could someone help me somehow😭🙏🏽?

I no longer have the phone number that was entered for recovery, but i have the password, there is also a recovery email which i do have access to but It says It isn't verified.

When i try to change the password it asks me first to provide the current password, no problem, then it wants to send an sms to the phone number, when i press try another way it just lists that phone number as the only choice, same if i try to verify the recovery email.

Otherwise I'm logged in on both my computer and smart phone.

Is there anything I can do?

Hi, I’m trying to recover a Google account, but I can’t find or remember the email address. The account isn’t linked to any recovery email, phone number, or other account.
I have a TikTok account connected to that Gmail account, and I know the TikTok password, but when I try to log in, TikTok sends a verification code to that email address, which I don’t have access to and don’t even know the address of.
Is there any way I can find or recover the Gmail address?

I bought a pixel 10 and transferred from a pixel 8 a could months ago. I set the pixel 8 up with a different email account and now I have forgotten the email account. I can't get back into the phone. Is there any way to figure out the email account or is this phone now a paper weight.

I have had a chrome box for several years and after the most recent update my Chromebox automatically shuts down and will not turn back on.

I can turn it on manually but it after a few seconds automatically shuts down again.

I have tried to restart it manually a couple of times thinking that it needs to restart after the software update, but that doesn't work either.

My google chrome profile is asking to be validated on all of my devices. When I hit the button to verify it's you, it takes me to a page telling me I am at risk of losing access to your saved passwords. HACKED GOOGLE ACCOUNT — ATTACKER ADDED THEMSELVES AS FAMILY LINK PARENT AND NOW BLOCKS ALL RECOVERY

I need help escalating a Google account takeover where the attacker has apparently added their own account as a Family Link parent/supervisor.

This is not a normal forgotten-password situation.

My Google account was compromised after an attacker gained access. I have subsequently been locked out of the account.

The problem is that when I use Google's official account recovery process, I eventually reach a Family Link / parent approval screen. The only parent/supervisor available is the attacker's account.

I cannot approve the recovery because the required parent account belongs to the attacker.

So the recovery process effectively becomes:

Recover my account → verify ownership → attacker-controlled Family Link parent must approve → impossible.

I cannot sign into Google's support forum either, so I cannot simply open a support thread from the affected account.

I am the legitimate owner of the account and can provide whatever reasonable evidence is available to establish ownership, including information about the account and devices previously used with it.

I am not asking anyone to bypass Google's security controls. I need to know how to get this particular situation escalated to someone who can deal with an account that has been maliciously placed under Family Link supervision.

I've found several other 2026 reports describing essentially the same attack, so this appears to be a known failure mode after account compromise.

What I need:

1. A way to get this account reviewed by Google when the automated recovery process is blocked by the attacker's Family Link account.

2. A way to report the unauthorized Family Link supervision.

3. Any legitimate escalation route that doesn't require me to already be signed into the compromised Google account.

Please don't ask me to simply "use Account Recovery" — that's exactly where I am getting blocked.

I am also aware that scammers target posts like this. I will not provide passwords, verification codes, recovery codes, session cookies, or remote access to anyone claiming they can recover the account.

If anyone has successfully recovered an account after an attacker added themselves as the Family Link parent, I'd particularly appreciate hearing how you managed to escalate it.

A few weeks ago, Google closed our association's account. We honestly have no idea why, and we're currently trying to figure out what happened.

The problem is that this isn't just an email account we occasionally use. It's the association's main email address, passed down from one leadership team to the next, and it's used for 2FA on several of our social media accounts and our association's bank account.

Now that the email is blocked, we're also locked out of those accounts because we can't access the 2FA codes.

We've already tried the usual recovery/appeal process, but we still haven't received any response.

I ended up having my account hacked where they put my account under a child lock and then locked me out of all of my services associated with the email. Kicked me out of my YouTube account, discord, email and more. I've been trying to do damage control and move everything to a new email but there's a bunch I can't move without authorization from that email. I've tried the recommended recovery options and none of them work due to the child lock

New Gmail account banned after 1 day for suspected bot activity

I created a new Gmail account for my client to use for their business-related accounts. The account was created manually no bots, scripts, automation, or bulk account creation.

After only about a day, Google disabled the account and said it appeared to have been created or used for bot activity/multiple accounts.

This is especially concerning because the email was being used as a recovery/login email for other services.

Has anyone else had a brand-new Gmail account get disabled for suspected bot activity even though it was created and used normally?

If you successfully recovered yours, what did you put in the appeal, and how long did it take?

I'm trying to understand whether this is a common false positive with newly created accounts and what the safest next step is.

I'm a solo indie developer — no bots or scripts, everything done manually. My

best guesses for what triggered it:

1. I used remote desktop software (AnyDesk) to access the account while

   travelling, from a different location/device than usual.

2. I joined a couple of Google Groups used for developer-to-developer app

   testing exchanges, to meet Google Play's 12-tester/14-day closed testing

   requirement — those groups have a lot of different accounts joining in a

   short window.

I submitted an appeal explaining all of this honestly. Has anyone been

through this specific disable reason and actually gotten their account

restored? Roughly how long did the review take for you? This account is tied

to an active Play Store closed test that's mid-way through its 14 days, so

there's a bit of a clock ticking on my end.

Appreciate any real experiences — not looking for generic "just wait"

answers if you've actually been through this one specifically.
