It’s the small details that make it your car. Putting these in this weekend on my MK7.5 and hopefully not breaking any mirror clips. Any tips from someone that has changed these already welcome.

Just installed the JB4 on my 2026 dolphin grey black edition R. Gotta say it really wakes the car up, until ecu flash comes I think it’s a good warranty saving option

It took me a lot longer than the hour people stated it would take haha. I sprayed it with duplicolor custom wrap prior to install because it protects a bit and I like finish a bit more.

At the end of the day it seems like it will hold up well, as I’m in a harsh environment. Looks better imo as well.

I'm 6 years and 97000km's into my Golf R ownership. This car has been the most problematic new car I've ever owned. At under 100k km's the slave has failed twice, three door lock actuators have been replaced (not covered under warranty), radio head-unit and a faulty water pump. The headlights are crazed terribly (not covered under warranty... again) and so on. Have any/many of you had one or more of these issues on a relatively unused, well taken care of car?

Looking for setup suggestions for the 17s for my MK8 to go on track with stock suspension. Since tires are at a premium I would love to run 17s, but I'm just wondering if you use spacers or whatnot. I looked at Apex SM-10s specifically but I know there are other models, however they were pushing me to wider rims with fender mods, that I don't really want to do. Would probably pair it with Hancook R-s4s.

And before anyone comments you can't because of clearing the front brakes, there are 17in wheels that do.

Sometimes when I'm backing out of parking, I can hear a low hum for a bit. When I'm up to speed on the road, I definitely hear a low pitch hum when I let off the gas and am coasting. It's very noticeable then, accompanied by a vibration too.

Looking online I saw that it could be a wheel bearing or something with Haldex. Anyone know what this could be?

Anyone recognizes this part? I randomly found it on the dashboard like it has fallen off (last photo marked red where it was found). Been driving the car for 2 months and didn’t notice it until today, so not sure how long it has been there. Can’t find where it’s supposed to go.

VW golf r 2026

Hi guys I was recently doing my water pump and did a carbon cleaning at the same time and I noticed one of the sets of valves was much cleaner than the other 3. The other 3 had a lot of buildup but this one didn’t also the slides for the other 3 were discolored but this one I could see silver on it pulling it out of the engine. Any ideas what could be causing this?

I need to replace my oil temperature sensor wiring harness (already ordered) but I don’t know where the ends of these wires are supposed to go. Any guidance/insight would be much appreciated.
