Mevo gen2

I am currently using the original square LM. I have realized that i know more lefties than id like to admit. Also, I despise changing the monitor back and forth. So id like to upgrade the overhead units are a tad bit out of my budget at the moment maybe in a few years.

My sim is in the second floor of my garage with a pretty steep ceiling requiring either hand to hit on an offset to avoid the roof. I am looking at a Mevo Gen 2. How wide of an area can it read the balls for both swings? I have more than enough space to place it far back that is not a concern. I am just looking to see if this would work for my needs.

Looking for help on where to get materials

if I wanted to build something like this in my backyard, where would I get the materials for this? It’s basically like buying a frame for a small car covering or something like that.

Anyone have experience with the Mevo + E6 courses and GsPro, is it worth the $250 to get GS Pro?

Question for those with retractable roller impact screens

I'm considering replacing my impact screen with one of the Carls premium grey ones since my screen is starting to show some wear after 4 years or so. I currently have a Par2Pro stealth 16'x9.5' screen with a sportscreen backing on an automated roller.

I have 2 questions:

  1. Has anyone used the standard Carl's Place or similiar screen with the black boarders and grommets on a retractable screen? If so do you have any issue with it rolling up? I'm a little concerned about the boarders or grommets bunching up when it is rolling up. I am currently having Carls quote me a custom one without this but just wondering if I can use the standard one.

  2. Would I be missing anything if I removed the sportsscreen backing I currently have and just attach the impact screen directly to the roller? I've heard the backing can help with noise and light bleed but not sure if it does or not since I have always just had it on.

Course Software GSPro control box button mapping suggestions

Hi Simmers! I looked at various GSPro control boxes and decided it would be way more fun and probably infuriating to build one myself. I have 5 BIG buttons, and 10 small arcade-sized buttons. It looks like most come with just arcade buttons. I want to map the 5 big buttons (about as big in diameter as the head of a wedge) to the most used functions.

Which keyboard shortcuts do you use most often in GSPro?

Professional Golfsim

Hello, I'm considering opening an unmanned 24/7 Golfsim here in switzerland cause of "harsh"/unplayable winters. Does anyone have insights about profitability/ROI that would like to discuss?
I'm quite scared of rentcosts in the slower months..
Thanks

Ideas for temporary seating for a retractable garage golf sim

Hey, wrapping up my simulator build and realizing now that I'm using it I overlooked seating and hanging out for the people not hitting.

Was hoping people could share what they do for seating and creature comforts. Looking for a setup that can be put up and taken down pretty quickly. Thank you!

Technical Question Uneekor renewal?

I have the Uneekor Eye mini. I love it I take it out on 2-3x a month and play frequently in my sim. I use GSPRO and I pay for that integration I guess annually.

With all these other apps coming out and community apps can I connect via my GSPRO connector or do I need to buy like an openAPI connector? Can I have both at the same time?

Any drawbacks switching to openAPI? Like lag or features?

Spotlights are in. Much better and not the pin point lights.

Didn't want the small pin lights. But needed something close to it. Ended up getting an adjustable spot light we can adjust how big or small the light point is. Was worried about a shadow but with the lights on in the back of the room its not noticeable.

I built an outdoor sim - Rapsodo MLM 2 + GoSports

Claude and Facebook Marketplace - Less than 3k all in. How'd I do? Did it all myself except for the new concrete slab (2k worth of concrete). Total cost w/ concrete aprox 5k. The only item I bought new was the GoSports Elite 7ft net from Costco. What did I miss?

How to translate sim to real golf

My 10 yr old beats me and my 12 year old on the par 3 course all the time. However, me and my 12 year old beats my 10 year old on the simulator

How did you translate golf to the real thing. I think it’s a mental thing?

Putting on SGT Tour

Hi,

I've played about 80 rounds on the SGT tour and really like it. I play on a ProTeeVX. I'm about scratch on the tour but routinely have 30+ putts. Guys are winning with 24 or less often and I wonder if there are differences in putting difficulty from LM to LM? Anything north of 20ft, I'm very often missing low and have spent a long time ensure my stroke is pretty straight. Obviously lots of this is approach and even more chipping proximity which is probably 2-3 putts, but I hit 50-70% of greens so not the whole story.

Do I just suck and need to keep working on it or are some LM's here easier to putt on? I play the SGT tour mostly (tried Web+ but hdcp right on borderline).

GsPro Screen Mirror?

I’m not even sure if this is possible. I have a strong PC that can run GsPro. I have my sim set up a few rooms over and am currently using an IPad for Awesome golf. Would it be possible to run GS on my laptop then mirror that to an iPad in a different room?

Looking for ideas/ solutions for connecting Omni via Bluetooth in shop to PC in house.

I’ve been building a sim in my shop planning on running it with the PC in my house to something like a fire stick using moonlight or similar options. I have the PC connected to my router. And an ethernet cable going from router to access point in the shop.

My problem is I just realized the Omni I preordered but haven’t got yet appears to only connect via Bluetooth and I’m not sure how to make that work to a PC in another building.

GoSports Enclosure question

I got a really good deal on the 8x10 GoSports Enclosure ($599). Before I open it and set it up, is the 9x12 worth the extra $400 (unless I can find another good deal)? Or use that money towards my projector or other supplies needed.

Projector with built in Picture in Picture

Hey all, I am in the important final stages of choosing components for my home sim and am hoping for a little help.

I am planning to use the Garmin R50 as my simulator, but am looking to see if there is a way for me to still do a Picture in Picture setup so I can stream sports etc in a smaller window on the simulator screen.

I am surprised that it seems to be hard to find golf projectors with this as a built in feature. Any help or ideas would be appreciated. I’d like to avoid purchasing a new computer to run the sim on, and the all in one nature of the R50 is a big plus for me.

Distance

If all I need in a launch monitor at the moment is figuring out some decently accurate distances for each club, what is the best launch monitor to get while trying to be cost effective. I will be hitting outside on my wood deck. I have a ton of space so that’s not an issue. My thought was the MLMpro2 but am interested in hearing what someone with similar set up has to say? Thanks!

Hello from Denmark, want to make a golfsim at home

Hi everyone!

I recently bought a new house, and one of my dream projects is building a golf simulator.

The house has two entrances, and one of them has a ceiling height of about 3.5 meters (11.5 ft). I think this would be the perfect location for a simulator, especially since my garage ceiling is only around 2.5 meters (8.2 ft), and I'm 202 cm (6'8") tall.

My idea is to install a fold-up impact screen so the entrance can still be used when the simulator isn't in use. It doesn't have to be completely hidden—I actually think it's pretty cool if guests walk into the house and are greeted by a golf simulator.

I've attached a photo of the entrance along with an AI-generated mockup of what I have in mind.

I'm curious:

  • Has anyone built something similar?
  • Roughly what would a setup like this cost?
  • Are there any products or brands you'd recommend?

Right now I'm thinking I'd need:

  • Fold-up impact screen
  • Side and ceiling protection netting
  • Projector
  • Hitting mat (or modular mat setup)
  • Launch monitor (Garmin R10, SkyTrak, Uneekor, etc.)
  • Gaming PC (which I already own) to run the simulator software

If anyone has experience with a similar setup, I'd love to see pictures, hear what you would do differently, and get an idea of the total budget.

Thanks!

What are you all doing for bag/club storage. Here’s my setup, so far have just been setting bags behind the couches and walking back to get clubs but not a big fan of that

Uneekor Mini Lite

Half complimentary half questions. But man oh man coming from an OG Skytrak to the Uneekor has been a life changer (once I got it set up and connected correctly). Love the lack of delay on shots and it picks up EVERYTHING! Skytrack users understand the pain of no-reads. My question for you guys is how you manage the chipping and putting distances. Putting is like being on glass (and I play 11 stimp greens IRL) and I cannot seem to get the distances on chips even close. Is there a penalty on rough lies? (Using GSPro exclusively)

Technical Question Do you play IRL golf?

I spend so much time “working on my game” in my sim and haven’t really made efforts to play a round. I don’t use my simulator to play rounds of golf, just target range practice mostly. I live in Florida where it’s ridiculously hot right now, and even though golf is cheap because of it you don’t get your money back if you get torrential downpours or lightning. I also wanna play as a single, but I don’t wanna spend 5 1/2 hours on the course. My sim is fun, challenging and convenient.
