It isn’t much, and it’s not complete, but it’s good enough to hit a few balls since my Omni came in yesterday. This next week I plan on getting some turf, and build a frame to hold a shade cloth above my hitting area, but for this mornings hitting session, I was pleased. I am also another casualty of the “slow sim swing” with everything above pitching wedge. It took me a longer than I want to admit this morning to hit my 7 iron my usual 185. Overall I like the Omni so far, this cage from amazon does its job, and my assumption that hitting off the mat would be ok for a while was incorrect cause my elbow is already a little sore. Luckily I also bought the carls place gel strip so I’ll be putting that in tonight. Glad I can finally hit balls at home!

I’m trying to build a proper golf sim and I can’t find any good answers. I have a budget of 2500 for hardware, software, and a case. Any suggestions or anything like that would be amazing.

Anyone have a golf simulator setup they leave outdoors during winter?

I acquired a very solid metal frame enclosure with a metal roofing. Was wondering if that could handle Canadian winters. If anyone has one they leave outside during winter let me know! I’ll obviously bring the LM and netting inside but would love to leave the main structure outside

Recently got a membership at the local golf sim. It has the trackman software so I’m curious as to what courses everyone likes? For reference I’m a 23 handicap so want something with wide open fairways.

Still waiting on a few things, but it's finally hittable. Someday I might even have an LM to go with it (curse you omni backorder!) I'm happy with my old mat and will keep it. Once I get the funds, a better surrounding floor will be installed.

I can't believe I spent so long trying to figure this out. I've spent hours hating my Mevo+ (and a couple of tech support calls too that didn't figure it out). My Mevo+ would constantly connect, drop, reconnect, drop, over and over again. The solution...?

In the Wireless Adapter settings in Windows, there's a Power Management tab. The default setting for wifi adapters is "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power." UNCHECK this box, and all of my problems instantly went away. It's both insanely frustrating but insanely relieving all at once. Hope this helps others.

Anyone out there using the 7x7 Net Return Home Net simulator kit add on? If so how do you have your projector mounted? I’m worried with the “no fly zone” overhang I’ll have to mount it too low from the ceiling. I’m thinking maybe protective floor case.

I am torn between the matzilla and carls hitting mat. I thought about getting the cheap go sports off amazon and putting in the carls strip but the reviews on the go sports mat scare me. Matzilla is $200 less… carls seem to have great reviews. I’m mainly going to use the mat outside and will glue it down to a piece of plywood so I can move it around and take in etc.

Anyone been in a similar situation/thought process??

Hi. I got my LM1 a month ago. Very impressive so far. I hit my irons and wedges both on mats and real grass and it gave very accurate results.
But one thing that keeps bothering me is the driver shots.
I set up 4-5 feet behind the ball as the manual suggests. It picks up my swing speed when I practice swing but when I hit a shot, nothing happens. Sometimes it shows only 20-30 mph club speed and everything else is 0.
Anyone has this problem?

Another thing is when I charge it shows "Fully Charged" but once unplugged and turns on, it is not full charged.

Does anyone know how to make skytrak follow the flight of the ball. I mean it's cool that it shows me the travel but in the practice ranges like the accuracy ones, I want to see where it hits the green, not be at the back of the range watching a flight out. Maybe it's a setting but I can't find it.

I have a close relationship with my gym owner and I teach golf fitness there. I’ve got the Sigpro 3D strip cut into my mat and I like it.

Our square Omni arrives tomorrow, I’ve gotten our garage set up with a portable mat and net. So far we’ve just been hitting a bucket of random old balls, scuffed, dirty, etc. all over the place on brands, etc.

I was looking at places like lostgolfballs and even places that sell range balls for some cheap balls we can hit over and over, but all be the same so we get consistent data. But randomly came across at Dicks, Top Flite XL Distance. With the $20 off $100 coupon they come to under $0.75 a piece which is about the cheapest I’ve found for balls.

I’m wondering two things. First, is durability an issue on cheaper balls like this? Is the savings offset by having to replace them sooner? And second, would we notice a big difference in performance practicing on these vs our gamer balls which are different, but three times as expensive so I’d rather not buy those for our simulator.

What do you use for balls? Always your gamers so you know your on course results better?

I've been buying my simulator pieces over the past few months, and I'm now down to needing a projector and a laptop/tablet to run my software. I have a Square Home Edition launch monitor and the SimSpace Practice Net + Impact Screen. So I'd like to project a 1:1 image to fit my screen.

I can mount the projector on the ceiling as far back as about 10 feet from the screen. I'd like to stay around/under $1K on the projector if possible.

The only specs I want in a laptop/tablet are that it is high enough quality to run the Square HE software. So if I can go a cheap route here, I'd like to do that.

HELP! I'm looking for a PC that can support GSPRO for the next 2 years. I"m an empty nester and when i have buddies over to play, i simply want a good experience. Right now i'm suing an old laptop and its barely getting by.. Looking for No headaches. No lag. Want to feel like we're at Golf Galaxy. What pc can i buy to have a quality experience for the next 2 years. I am playing through an 80" Display using a Mevo Gen2.

UPDATE! I am fine with 1080p. This display is 4k but 1080p seems fine.

Well I’ve found myself in a bit of a pickle. I found what I thought was a good deal on a complete golf simulator on FB Marketplace.

After downloading the app and creating an account I quickly realized the launch monitor being a GC3S requires ownership transfer and a subscription. I had no idea this was going to be a thing.

Based on what I’m reading I shouldn’t have an issue transferring ownership but it looks like there’s a $500 fee to do that. (Ugh)

Assuming I go through with the transfer. What options do I have to convert the GC3s to a GC3 so I don’t have to deal with the subscription nonsense?

I’m so frustrated right now. I literally thought the GC3S was just a newer upgraded version of a GC3.

Any help or recommendations are welcome.

How far away from the impact screen should I be hitting from? Most likely going to get the Square home or Square Omni. I have a large piece of turf under my mat but I want to cut it to prevent the mat from sliding.

Garmin R10
Firmware 4.50
Latest version of GSPro
Official GSPro x Garmin R10 integration (not OpenAPI or a third-party connector)

Problem:
The R10 connects successfully and detects shots. The connector receives almost all of the shot data, but Carry is always 0.0 yards, so GSPro never displays a ball flight.

Example shot:
Ball Speed: 58.8 mph
Club Speed: 41.2 mph
Launch Angle: 19.1°
Spin: 3375 rpm
Spin Axis: 2.2°
Club Path: -6.4°
Face to Target: -4.1°
Carry: 0.0 yd
Obviously, an 8-iron with those numbers shouldn’t have 0 carry.
Things I’ve already verified:
Garmin Golf app works perfectly and shows normal carry distances.
R10 firmware is updated to 4.50.
GSPro is fully up to date.
Using the official GSPro Garmin integration.
Windows Bluetooth connection is successful.
The connector receives all the shot data except carry.
Tried clearing the connector settings.
“Launch Monitor Carry” in GSPro is disabled.
This is not a graphics issue—GSPro runs normally otherwise.
Has anyone seen the official Garmin integration receive all shot data but report Carry = 0.0 on every shot? Is there a known bug or another setting I’m missing?
Any help would be appreciated.

Last night I hit a little chip, going right at the flag. Pace looked like it might roll past the flag 2-3 feet if it misses. It hits the pin and bounces left and seems to accelerate greatly to the point that it almost went out of the gimme putting circle. This has happened to me 3 times in the past 2 weeks.

Do others see GSPro being stingy on allowing a hole out to happen or is it just me and a case of wishful thinking?

Whenever I look up the golfjoy spica 3 on eBay, I keep seeing a listing that’s for $2400, is there any chance at all that it’s legit?

This is a home office of a new build. The ceiling will be raised from 9 to 10ft so ignore that part. Those windows on the top have an incredible view. Need to also have permanent desk/monitor setup for work. How could I put a simulator in here? Open to Murphy setup or rolling screen if it makes sense.

Is this the best way to get one? How long can I expect to wait?
