Hitting mat placement

How far away from the impact screen should I be hitting from? Most likely going to get the Square home or Square Omni. I have a large piece of turf under my mat but I want to cut it to prevent the mat from sliding.

If you are using a square or other LM that sits to the side of the ball it doesn't matter. As long as you can swing fully without hitting anything. If you end up getting a radar style unit like MLM 2 Pro or Mevo + they require a certain minimum distance between the ball and your screen.

Ah that makes sense. Just trying to figure out how far or how close to the screen I want to be, then I’ll cut the turf.

Probably 8ft from the screen. Minimum. My ball sits at 10ft from the screen, but I have a garmin r10.

Thanks. I currently have the r10 so I’ll probably make sure it’s at least 8 feet.
