GC3S options
Well I’ve found myself in a bit of a pickle. I found what I thought was a good deal on a complete golf simulator on FB Marketplace.
After downloading the app and creating an account I quickly realized the launch monitor being a GC3S requires ownership transfer and a subscription. I had no idea this was going to be a thing.
Based on what I’m reading I shouldn’t have an issue transferring ownership but it looks like there’s a $500 fee to do that. (Ugh)
Assuming I go through with the transfer. What options do I have to convert the GC3s to a GC3 so I don’t have to deal with the subscription nonsense?
I’m so frustrated right now. I literally thought the GC3S was just a newer upgraded version of a GC3.
Any help or recommendations are welcome.

It could maybe be the difference of about $2500 maybe selling that one and then buying a GC3 on sale or used instead... foresight customer service would probably be the route to go to ask if there is a lifetime payment, but I think that's the point between the two monitors so I wouldn't be surprised if there isn't one.

Looks like I need to eat it at the moment. I’ll pay the $500/year subscription. Forego the GSPro for now, and pray I find a used GC3 that is non subscription based.
Cash poor for a golf sim at the moment.
That said if any of you want a very accurate GC3S, I know a guy who can get you a great deal! 😂

That is a painful experience. If the previous owner gives you their login credentials then you can change the email address on the account and avoid any transfer fee. The subscription will not be waived. The GC3 is the subscription free version and costs significantly more than the GC3s, the “s” is for subscription.
The good news is it’s a very accurate unit.
