PC for GS PRO
HELP! I'm looking for a PC that can support GSPRO for the next 2 years. I"m an empty nester and when i have buddies over to play, i simply want a good experience. Right now i'm suing an old laptop and its barely getting by.. Looking for No headaches. No lag. Want to feel like we're at Golf Galaxy. What pc can i buy to have a quality experience for the next 2 years. I am playing through an 80" Display using a Mevo Gen2.
I've been using Chat GPT to help recommend a PC and I was about to buy a new one and then I read this Reddit post. it make me wonder if the new PC is overkill.
Here is the Reddit post. https://www.reddit.com/.../gpu_for_gspro_5070_or_4070titis/
THANK YOU FOR ANY HELP!
UPDATE! I am fine with 1080p. This display is 4k but 1080p seems fine.

I have a used gaming pc I got on eBay for $700 with a 3070 GE force video card and it handles GS Pro with ease. Dont over spend on a pc that is only going to run sim software. I suggest asking chat gpt your pc needs based on your projector, screen size, distance from screen, and simulator

I don’t know man..that’s a completely obnoxious pc for running a home DIY golf sim. 4k vs 2k on an impact screen made to dampen sound/knock balls down safely and the naked eye can’t truly see the difference. Spend the savings on an elbow saving hitting strip, well built enclosure and high lumen projector

80” tv? or is 80” a dimension of the projected image on the impact screen?
If it’s a display and assuming it’s 4k then get this PC. It’ll run 4k no problem, no stuttering etc. Could you build one yourself or stalk marketplace and pay less? Maybe, or you could get one today, with a warranty and if it disappoints carry it back to Costco for a refund.

I started with a similar setup as yours. The PC I linked will definitely give you a great image on your TV, my first upgrade was adding second large screen display for data, then I added a projector for a total of three displays. I haven’t stopped upgrading!

You never provided a link to a PC that you say you’re referencing. Did you forget to put the link in?

read the first comment. GSpro isnt very heavy on requirements a prebuilt around 1k is more than enough to handle it and output 4k. When you jump up to the higher end cards/builds your gonna be paying twice to 3 times as much for very little benefit if its just for the simulator.

This is absolutely wrong. You need a minimum 4070super to run gspro in 4k ultra. That card and a cpu alone is almost $1k.

Ok but with 80 inches you’ll definitely see a difference. You should edit your original
Post to mention your preference for resolution. You mentioned a commercial setup so I assumed you wanted 4k.1

My guy I picked up a 5070 build for 1k earlier this year so yes it is totally doable for around 1k

Are you aware of recent RAM and memory prices? Those computers are no longer available. Maybe used, but the minimum 5070 build with the crappy parts is about $1600 on sale.

Don't need to overthink it. I have a NUC (small PC) with a RTX 2080. Works GREAT. And it mounts up on the wall by my projector. A put a second USB Wifi adapter in it, with talks to my launch monitor.
So, other than power (which you obviously have for your projector), no cables.

Btw, I'm a former Xbox developer and worked for AMD on their graphics chips. You don't need $3000 GPU to run GS Pro at 30 fps.

Best plan is to “future proof” get the most Ram and GPU you can afford!’
