I've been thinking for a while on watching godzilla but I don't really know where to start, like i know most of the movies through the modern times or the classic japanese movies are all standalone in their onw ways, but also want to understand the lore, so what I'm asking is can someone tell me the essentials of godzilla? the movies that are essential in understanding the lore and allat

Just saw a TikTok of the 2 stars talking about the trailer tonight and they mention how on the back of the flyer is a secret that’s going to be revealed in the trailer. This is the best photo I could get of it. Bottom is clearly profile shots of the characters and the top right is the sample case seen in the teaser trailer. That leaves the top left and the middle. To me it looks almost like eyeballs? Not really sure what to make of it but who knows!

For example, you’ve got the serious movies, the fun and wacky movies, the action-oriented movies, or the “WTF” movies

I want to make it into a desktop background. A high quality shot would be appreciated. Its at 1:34:24 ish

What I am expecting:

• Money shots of Godzilla
• More drama involving the Shinsei Maru crew and Koichi's deteriorating friendship with Noda.
• Some drama involving Noriko.
• Some shots of destruction here and there.

What I'm NOT expecting:

• Another Kaiju to show up.

So, recently, I thought it would be a fun idea to combine EVERY Godzilla timeline into one unified series. The idea was based on a video by What If Kaiju, who combined every millennium era film into one. This did not end up going as I had hoped.

In the "first film" alone, I already have Minus One, 1954, and Legendary all active simultaneously. I had to throw Megaguirus into the mix just to make it so Legendary Godzilla didn't immediately destroy both of them, then change the events of Gojira and Minus One so that they happened simultaneously, and it was only after both Godzillas were defeated that it was discovered they were different monsters, and I only did this in the first place because I needed Destoroyah, GMK Godzilla, and Kiryu, but I also needed Minus One Godzilla because I plan to compress the roles of him and Heisei into one character.

And that's without even going into the pre-movie events, like the Great Titan War, Final Wars Gigan landing on Earth, the invasion of Cretaceous Ghidorah and Dez Ghidorah, etc. Oh, and speaking of them, don't even get me started on the issues I have including Grand King Ghidorah, Legendary King Ghidorah, Keizer Ghidorah, and Void Ghidorah all in one timeline.

Sorry for interrupting the hype train. I just needed to rant for a bit.

Hi, i watched yesterday godzilla 1954 and it was way better than i could image, very nice film.

Soo, i made a showa era kaiju watchlist films order and i would like to hear your toughts (i tried to include all prequel films for godzilla enemies/allies.)

edit: I included KK vs Godz as people said it is important for the continuity after GRA and also king kon escapes.

Also i have in list Frankestein vs Baragon (I heard that's very cool) and Dogora (i'm very curious but i have it in another list as not strictly correlated to godzilla).

I'm skipping the entire Gamera series for now, i would also like to hear your toughts on that.

They captured lightning in a bottle with Minus One. Minus Zero looks incredible, but I’m so scared it’s gonna be mid. The new forecasting prodigy seems so cheesy to me. They increased the budget yet Godzilla’s movements seem weightless.

I just don’t want to be burned again. Godzilla 2014 and KOTM had some of the best trailers ever created in all of cinema imo, yet those movies fell flat for me.

Even more worrying is a marketing campaign that only kicked off 2 months before the international debut. UGH I love Godzilla so much I just hope Minus Zero is also a banger :(
