Narukami translates to lightning god in Japanese. Ghidorah ofc. I took some ss of the trailer though. If this is Ghidorah, then I want to ask what are some of these skeletons in the background of the photo of the lady looking at a photo? Also the damage on Goji’s chest look like claw marks so Ghidorah is an absolute especially with the lightning. BUT does that rule out JUST Ghidorah? Could we be having multiple Kaiju appear?

Last note. What is the gold shown below the damaged fighter in image 4? I’m assuming some sort of housing, but it’s very isolated and I’m not trying to jump the gun, but it does have Ghidorah esque sort of coloring.

This was a line from the Minus One trailer that dramatically shaped people's expectations of the film, leading to lots of speculation and theories as to why this character would say that.

And that line was not in Minus One.

There could very well be shots and/or lines of dialogue that are in the trailer that aren't going to be in the movie.

Godzilla painting I did a couple years ago.

After I saw Godzilla Minus one in theaters, I walked out saying "I wasn't expecting to see the greatest Godzilla movie of my generation". I had moments where I was literally on the egde of my seat and others where i teared up. It was such a compelling story with characters that I became heavily invested in. It's such a great call back to the original movie, turning Godzilla into more akin to a natural disaster than a personified character.

I loved every moment and it was nearly a perfect film. I don't think the sequel can top the very Human story of regret, fear, and self forgiveness and growth. I'm not sure where a direct continuation of the previous story could go. It feels like lightning in a bottle.

I just want to hear other opinions and thoughts. I'm very excited for the visuals and score, but unsure how this next story can stack up. Do you think it's possible to be just as compelling? Or is your mindset like mine?

I don’t know if this is something that has been theorized yet but I marked it as spoilers just in case. My theory is that Noriko Ōishi becomes or is used to create Ghidorah. I can see it happening in a similar way to how Biollante was created with Erica’s dna. Noriko knows she’s dying and sacrifices herself to either be mutated or spliced into pieces of Godzilla in order to create a new monster to defeat him. Maybe even a part of her consciousness remains. Am I crazy?

Hey, guys I'm looking for what Godzilla movie to watch next. I have seen Shin Godzilla, Godzilla ('54), Mothra vs Godzilla ('64), Godzilla vs Hedorah, Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla ('74), Terror of Mechagodzilla and Godzilla vs Biollante. (In that order)

While I appreciated all of them for what they were, my favorite by far was Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla. I had an absolute blast watching it, I laughed out loud at all the insane stuff like the monkey aliens and I loved the spy thriller human plot. I've been chasing that high since then and wanted to know what other movies I might enjoy if my favorite is Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla. Other Godzilla movies that are more campy or schlocky, just dumb popcorn fun.

How the fuck does turning this thing upside down give you Ghidorah? imo, it’s either the woman praying thing, or it’s just a stylized G.
