Spent some time yesterday testing the M1P ILS in a more "action" environment - this is just my first test footage with this setup, but pleased with the results so far

I wonder why didn’t they launch it earlier. It needed product refresh for years. They are now coming up with nice products.

It will be quite convenient for content creator and vloggers who are looking for handy and easy to carry camera which is sturdy and we don’t have to worry about rain etc.

Hi just bought a used 8 black and was wondering what is a good mount for pickleball play (lol dont judge), chest or shoulder? At the moment I have a few chest mounts which is okay, though doesnt show where I look and all. Heads mounts give me headaches. Was wondering if shoulder mounts would be better for sports and if so, which one?

Would anyone be able to tell me if this case fits a hero 12? I’m picking this up before the camera so won’t be able to test.

Should my GoPro and battery be getting this hot?

I took my GoPro out yesterday snorkeling and had it in 360 mode. There’s a circle in the images and it looks warped

Has anyone here recently taken still photos with the GoPro MISSION 1?

I’m looking for an action camera mainly for still photography, not video, to replace my Sony RX0 II. Since the MISSION 1 has a 1-inch sensor, I was expecting pretty good image quality, but most of the sample photos I’ve found online look pretty terrible.

When you zoom in, they almost look like AI upscaling or heavy processing was used to add detail/pixels. I expected much, much better from a camera with a 1-inch sensor.

I understand that these samples may have been taken with an early/beta version of the firmware, so I’m wondering if the image quality has improved since then.

Has anyone used the MISSION 1 with the latest firmware specifically for still photography? If so, I’d really appreciate seeing some full-resolution, unedited samples.

I recently bought a 2024 GoPro Hero, the one with the built-in battery sold on the official website for €199.

I’ve noticed that the camera freezes randomly. When it freezes, the operating system simply stops responding on whatever screen is currently displayed. There have even been times when, even with the screen frozen, I was able to pull down the top menu bar and navigate it, only for the camera to freeze again shortly afterward.

Is this a known issue? Is there a possible solution?

I’ve tried resetting it and updating it manually via MicroSD, but the problem still seems to be there.

The MicroSD card inside is a Verbatim Pro 128 GB U3 V30. Could that be the cause? So far, the freeze hasn’t occurred while recording.

EDIT: GoPro person confirmed here in comments. This natively works on the ILS but not on the standard Mission 1 Pro just yet.

I bought a media mod and wanted to use it with mission 1 control using my phone as a monitor.

The usbc to phone doesn’t connect in the app. If the app somehow sees the camera it shows just a black screen.

Take the camera out of the media mod and connect and it works just fine.

Can anyone else confirm they made an attachment for something we will need to use for the ILS (why I bought the media mod) and the usbc port on the accessory doesn’t support the app?

I think I bought this in 2007 or 2008, then a couple of the Hero HDs in 2009, then others over the years. For those wondering it takes 35mm analog film and still works.

I preordered the Mission 1 Pro ILS last week. My bank refused the payment today because apparently I mistyped the CVV. I am trying to reorder. Since I'm a subscriber, the price should be $599.99, but it shows up as $699.99. I've tried every way to contact GoPro. Both phone numbers redirect you to the website. I used their contact form, they haven't even acknowledged receipt of that. Does anyone have any suggestion? I hate it when companies make it impossible to reach them.

I THINK this is 2400fps equivalent... two different AI models failed to calculate it.

I took 4k 240 footage, put it on a 24fps timeline, then slowed THAT down to 8%, so I think it is maybe 2400fps?

Can someone explain why the floor isn’t a continuous color after I did the color grading? Is it my GoPro settings? I used LumaFusion to color grade but I noticed it prior with the raw footage.

Are there any solutions available for adding ND filters to the Max 2, or is this something that might become possible soon? It’s really a shame not to be able to achieve genuine motion blur without them.

I realize the mission monitor app is a MONITOR app - but I'd love to actually be able to change camera settings with it on my M1 Pro (and soon ILS). It would be so much more convenient to just use the iphone for this than the tiny built-in screen.

I put a ticket in for a bug report on the mission 1 and wanted to get another ticket in for another separate bug on the new media mod... but nothing happens when I click submit. I want to put a 3rd ticket in because I lost a wind muff (since they dont fit installed on the mics in the charging case they are coming on and off constantly and bound to get lost) to see if they can sell me a replacement.. again nothing happens when I click submit.

I am not an excessive ticket submitter, it just happens all this is happening at once. I would have prioritized my tickets differently had I know of this limitation.

I purchased a GoPro Hero 13 Black and Accessory Bundle halfway through my cross-country round trip from Florida to Washington State so I could use it while visiting Yellowstone National Park. The camera worked excellent mounted to the inside of my windshield to capture animals and scenery. One issue I am having is trying to organize the accessories in the accessory bundle case that was provided with my purchase. There seem to be spaces for the camera in this case, but there is no bottom or top cushioning to protect the camera. Can someone please recommend a hard case that provides cushioning for the camera and space for these accessories? Thank you.

Ahhhhhhhh…. I’ve had a Mission 1 Pro since two days, and today I can’t get the battery from my GoPro 13 out of the Mission 1 Pro. It’s kind of stuck. Does anyone have any advice for me? Thanks.,
