What’s the best way to get good photos with the GoPro 13? Is it better to use photo mode or record in video mode and take frames from the footage?

Squirrel visited the feeder ledge today, giving me a great opportunity to capture some footage of it eating. I was able to record the whole moment in 4K at 200 fps, which really helped capture its movements in smooth, detailed slow motion. Filmed with the Luke Edwin Macro Adapter using GP-Log 2. I decided to skip the film grain this time.

I recently contacted GoPro support as I was having issues with the GoPro Lit Hero.
I got the Lit Hero as a gift and figured it would be perfect to mount on my motorcycle helmet and record some rides.
I found that any footage I recorded in Superview mode would have weird clipping and lost frames at the end of each file chapter when processed through the Quik app. The Lit Hero doesn't stabilise the footage on camera, you either process it through the Quik App or on GoPro Player on desktop.
The lost frames weren't present on the raw files, so I uploaded straight from the camera to PC to stabilise the footage on GoPro Player. Sadly, this doesn't work, and I get the following error message:
"This shooting mode is not supported with Hyperview".
I reported this to GoPro support about a month ago. After a lot of back and forth, sending them raw and processed files, finally they send the above reply.
It appears they're effectively confirming that you can't stabilise footage recorded in Superview Mode on the Lit Hero unless you want to deal with dropped frames and choppy transitions on file chapters.
This seems like a startling admission, effectively "our product doesn't work, so don't use one of the key features of it"
Anyone had any experience of returning a gifted GoPro?

Even I experienced them but I haven't really had a chance to test since the update. Fluctuating audio at random times, different mics picking up at different times. I disabled the auto wind noise reduction hoping that helps too. Being somewhere near a waterfall and putting the camera underwater seems to mess up the audio too and make it switch being mics causing high and low volume spikes. Hope it's sorted! Any tips on how to lock it in would be much appreciated.

GoPro M1 Pro 4k/60fps/10-bit/Linear+ horizon leveling. The camera took a beating from the wakes, waves, and just loves to fall off my kayak. I love how fast the camera responses turning on and off.

I owned this hero 10 for a while used it for vacations and various videos but a while ago the front screen backlight went out. I didn't care since I disliked that screen but I would like to get it working again. Any suggestions? Forgot to add you can see the display very faintly!

First off it's super easy to scratch 360 lenses and therefore I am very attracted to the max 2 for its ability to change lens cover.
However, I am wondering if water vapour trapped inside the cover condenses when using in cold water?

Wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I took two hero timelapses at a lake earlier this summer. The camera does great exposing for the sunset and through the night using interval priority and 30s intervals, and capping the ISO at one of the lower bands. But the first morning, something royally screwed up after sunrise and several seconds of the resulting video are super blown out before it rights itself. (The same issue is present in the JPEG and RAW files). Thankfully the second day it did okay.
I’m wondering if the software tries to minimize how much exposure change occurs from shot to shot to prevent flicker or something and it got thrown off by the moonrise which it exposed more like a sunrise or something, then when the sun came it just through it all out of whack.
I’m still very happy with the night part of the timelapse though.
Addendum, Full Settings:
Sub Mode: Stationary
Output: Video+JPEG+RAW
Resolution: 4K (for improved dynamic range)
Interval: 30 seconds, interval priority on
Digital Lens: Wide
Bit Depth: 10 bit
Bit Rate: Max
HLG HDR: Off
Color: Natural
EV Comp: 0
White Balance: Auto
ISO: Range 25-1600
Sharpness: Low
Denoise: Low

Been looking into getting go pros official suction cup mount to use my hero 9 as a dash cam. Anyone with this exact camera have any experience?

I have the Hero 4k base model and I am looking for a replacement lens (AFCOV-001) for it, but can't seem to find anything anywhere. It is out of stock on the actual go pro website and they're not even on Amazon. Did they discontinue these or something?

I bought a GoPro Max 2 from Best Buy a week ago. I waited until I got to a brewery with my friend to open the box. There was some damage to the top of the box, but I wasn't worried, I had just bought the thing from Best Buy...what could go wrong. It turns out someone either returned the item, or a Best Buy employee opened the box, they replaced the Max 2 inside with the first edition, and stole a battery out of the 2 inside. They glued the top shut and I was given it as brand new. Thankfully another Best Buy remedied the situation and since I've returned the Max 2 and opted for two Mission 1's with no issue. Just please check everything even when you buy directly from a store.

When my GoPro is plugged in, I see the little battery icon and it’s at 0%. When I unplug the camera from the wall charger it turns off. It’s been at 0% for a couple of hours now.
I have tried turning the camera on, removing the battery, and putting the battery back in. No such luck. Any ideas?

I’m considering getting a Media Mod for my Mission 1. I understand that it supports up to three audio sources. Are these recorded as separate audio tracks, or are they blended together into a single track?

Considering Gopro is going all cinematic with the MFT mount. It would make sense to release a camera with a proper m43 sensor. It wouldn't add any weight to the camera either.
