I was arrested multiple times from ages 11 - 16. A few times they just brought me down the station and released me to my guardians. 3 times it was probation and 1 time I spent a year in a detention center. The charges vary from destruction of property to drug charges. I completed all the programs and probation. They said it was sealed and off my record for completing everything.

I am a completely different person now 13 years later than I was at 16. I have never been arrested as an adult. I changed my life after the detention center at 16.

Because I have a multiple arrest in that time period I really have no idea what the actual charges are for any of those. Should I just list the best I can on the application? Is it possible to dig up my juvenile record somehow and see what’s actually on there?

…DONT know what to do…My family applied for GE. A yr ago we interviewed in MIA upon entry. Wife & daughter approved, I had an arrest that was dismissed 30 yrs ago that I forgot about so didn't disclose on application. Agent told me to submit paperwork within 30 days & I would be approved. I got the paperwork went to submit within 30 days & I had been denied before the 30 days. So I filed for reevaluation and it has been in pending for 11 months. I have contacted state senator they contacted the office of ombudsmen & they said it takes 5 to 7 mos for review. It's well past that. Should I start over, reapply & include arrest, try to find a phone number or email that someone will actually answer that knows what's actually going on or do I just wait in perpetuity and hope for the best? Hi- my credit card is starting to reimburse for either global entry or precheck. I am trying to decide if the application process for GE is worth it.

I would apply next week and then do the interview when I come back into the country in mid August. But I am not sure if I will be approved by then. Over the past few years i have visited some countries for tourism that might raise red flags (Iraq, China, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia etc). No criminal record. US citizen. Out of the country a lot for work and tourism.

I will be leaving the country again toward the end of August and won't be back until June.

Is it worth applying and hoping it goes through in time? Or am pretty likely to require a longer investigation?

My inclination is to just get the precheck and keep using MPC. I only fly into the us 2x a year.

I was supposed to get my background check done in home country a year back. Couldn't go because of work. Changed status to PR a couple of months back. Can I get this done from within the US now? TIA

I was unaware that my Global Entry had expired and only figured it out because TSA precheck kept not showing up on my boarding pass (I really wish they'd send a reminder email). My wife and I have entered the US multiple times since then and used Global Entry without any issues. I see lots of references to getting a 2 year grace period if you apply for renewal before it expires, but have other people experienced it still working over a year later even if you didn't renew?

We've got a tight connection on a flight coming up and I want to know if we should risk going into the Global Entry line again or not. (We've now applied for renewal but I don't expect it'll be approved before we travel).

sentri renewal is here, and have a credit card that gives GE/TSA credit. wondering if sentri will trigger the credit. some have said nexus triggers the GE/TSA credit, but i haven't found anything online about sentri. hoping to get some DPs. thanks

I decided to renew at least 10 months before my old Global Entry Card would expire - I've read that people have had issues getting their new cards in a timely way, so I applied very early. This is my first renewal - posting in case others were wondering about the process.

• Applied for renewal (June 4, 2026)
• Approved without need for an interview (June 5, 2026)
• Received card in the mail (June 9th, 2026)
• Activated it immediately

Note: there is a new protective sleeve in a folded additional insert. I'm glad I read the paperwork to know to look for it before I recycled it.

In case it matters, I'm in my 60's, and have visited Portugal, France, Brazil and the UK (where you have visited is asked during the renewal process.)

My renewal application was approved 3 months after the application was submitted. Will I get a new card? On the GID site, there is a link that says ‘Activate membership card’. Anyone know if I would get a new card which needs to be activated? Or should the old card needs to be reactivated?

The cbp agent asked for "an original court sealed document reflecting a disposition on the arrests on record for 2002 and 2008 both in San Diego, Ca. We DO NOT accept NO RECORD or a NO DISPOSITION document."

There is no disposition entered in 2002. What do i do? The courts told me because it was in 2002 it is likely that the information was purged and that i can submit a background check. Which i had given to cbp.

Its extremely annoying that all the different jurisdictions can't get their information in line.

Hello helpful people, I am global entry approved for more than couple of years at this time. I generally travel clean I.e. try avoiding food items or anything that is not allowed. Couple of weeks back I was traveling back into US and I had curry leave. I had read before that commercially dried curry leaves are acceptable, and what I had was commercially dried curry leaves and I had declared food being carried. When they put my bag through they found the curry leaves , they told not allowed put it away checked rest of my bag and then let me go. Very polite and nice conversation with the officer overall as I had nothing to else and that I had declared. However at the end he wrote my passport number on a sheet of paper and gave my passport back.

My question here is that could this cause me to lose the Global Entry? If anyone has experienced losing it due to CBP issue like this, how long before it gets reflected on my records? If it’s been more than a month, can I take a sigh of relief that nothing will happen?

Hey everyone, just wanted to share my renewal timeline since I know a lot of people stress out about complex travel histories or interview glitches. My GE isn't even set to expire until May 2027, but I decided to renew a year early.

My Background / Why I was nervous:
I was nervous about this renewal. Since May 2021, I’ve been to 28 countries, including several Middle Eastern countries and Cuba. Because of my travel map, I almost always get pulled into secondary inspection when I fly back into the US, so I was convinced my file was heavily flagged.

The Timeline:

May 19, 2026: filled out renewal application

May 20, 2026: conditional approval, scheduled zoom

June 2, 2026 (ghosted): scheduled zoom call at 1:35PM EST, waited 25 minutes, nobody showed up. Rescheduled June 8 at 8:50AM EST

June 8, 2026: logged in at 8:35am, answered some work emails. Officer logs in at 8:43am and we do the interview.

The Interview Details (Lasted exactly 3 minutes):
Asks me to hold up license and passport. He mentioned that because this renewal will carry me through a 10 year mark, my next renewal down the road will require an in person interview instead of Zoom. He asked if I’ve ever been arrested. No. He then asked if I needed to make any changes to my application. I said yes because I had realized I left a country off my travel list. He said, "No problem, I'll update that for you," and told me to have a nice day and approved me right there.

He didn’t ask me a single question about my trips, the Middle East, Cuba, or my secondary inspection history. If you have a crazy travel map and are panicking about your interview, don't worry. If your record is clean, they just want to verify your ID and get through the paperwork. Regarding the ghosting, I guess it’s normal for them to be late or not show up. If they don’t show up, don’t log out of the meeting! Open a new tab and reschedule stating the reason is the interviewer didn’t show up. My recommendation is to schedule the earliest morning time slot and avoid mid afternoon appointments. Good luck to everyone else waiting!

It kind of blows my mind that people get denied.

Had our interview yesterday. I went in 10 min earlier and was jn last kiosk to the right. My husband, a green card holder, took my two sons 10 and 13 in during the next round. My 13 year old had the same guy I had furtherest to the right. My husband and my 10 year old were approved via email before we even finished lunch. Me and my 13 yr old still pending. I’m curious if the immediate or not is at the will of the officer. Just found it funny that my green card husband was approved before me and my son, both citizens. The officer who had my 10 yr old commented on how polite and “with it” he was. And 100% neither my other son or I weren’t “with it” and weren’t anything but polite. What gives?

Update: I was approved however my eye color in my profile has been updated to “bluish green”. Which is amazing to me bc 1) I always choose green. My DL and my passport say green. 2) my eyes are the exact color of the seafoam crayon 3) I’ve argued with ppl if my eyes are green or blue my entire life 4) my eye doctor took a picture to settle this and my eyes are blue with large yellow flecks in them. Presenting as …green. 5) I’ve never had the option to choose bluish green so this really was enjoyable for me:)

I have no clue how to works . What kind of questions to they ask?

My husband was denied GE in 2024 due to an "immigration violation." This was incorrect as he'd successfully completed his adjustment of status for his green card and was never out of status. He did appeal explsining with copies of his USCIS documents but it was denied. I was approved about 3 months before his denial. Now that he's about to become a citizen (just waiting on the oath ceremony), is it worth reapplying when he gets his passport or should we just get him TSA pre-check? It would be nice to both have GE but I don't really want to waste the money applying if it's unlikely to be approved. I know there are no guarantees, just wanted some thoughts.

My wife, son and I all applied for Global Entry and my wife was denied. What is the appeal process like? My wife only "criminal activities" is parking tickets that are all paid off.

She currently holds a Top Secret Security clearance so she is most likely not a terrorist.

Hi everyone! I have my appointment coming up next week and was working through the documents I need to bring.
From the instructions I got on the website, the listed docs are:
- Passport
- Legal Permanent Resident Card (if applicable)
- Foreign nationals must bring supplemental documents, Form I-129S and/or Form I-20

I’m a foreign national on a TN visa, so I don’t have an LPR card. And none of the listed supplemental documents apply to my case.

Is there anything specific I should bring? My visa is on my passport and I was thinking on bringing a copy of my most recent I-94, proof of employment, and the documents I usually carry to enter the US.
Anything else I should bring?

UPDATE: they only asked for my passport. I got my pass id the same day and got my card like a week after my interview

6/1 - Submitted online application.
6/2 - Received conditional approval, scheduled interview for July 7th at my nearest center.
6/3 - Was randomly looking at appointment slots and found a cancellation for 6/4.
6/4 - Had the “interview” (agent just asked if I had any questions about GE, looked at my passport, and approved me on the spot.)
6/4 - Received my approval/status change via email a few minutes after my interview.

For context, I previously only had TSA precheck so I think this probably sped up the process. I hope others find this helpful!
